  4. I pretty much agree although my near perfect window (assuming me miss out on Sancho, which I really think we do) is your 22 ( I am assuming you are saying to sell Bats as I do not see him listed, and it is, as you said, a gut shot to miss out on Werner) plus 3 moves (to get to a 25 man roster) 1. Sell AC to Barca (they want him now per Matt Law, who is the gold standard of Chels reporting) and buy either Konate (my first choice) or Romagnoli (a close second, I leave it to Lamps to decide, either one is fucking great) OR (as although he is a big drop from those 2, he is better than AC, buy Ake, and Ake is only £40m so basically a wash) 2. RW Nicolò Zaniolo (who can play AMF and CMF too and is left-footed, tall 1.90m, only 21 next summer and is pacey) I have watched a lot of him the past 2 weeks, he has won me over, we have already scouted the hell out of him, and we are on great terms with Roma 3. DMF/CMF Hybrid Camavinga FTW, I SOOOOO want him so badly and Kate is perfect mentor to help take him to crazy WC level eventually as stated DO NOT miss out on bloody Chilwell if we miss out on Werner, my enthusiasm to sell Bats does go down a bit
  5. what the fuckery! he is mad as ass plus "And preferably, with their wives, because if with others, well, that needs extra action." ha!! smdh would suck to be his wifey (and not just because I am lesbi)
  6. Pulisic and Hudson-Odoi update – Confirmed Chelsea team and injury news to face Man City https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/11/pulisic-hudson-odoi-update-confirmed-chelsea-team-injury-news-face-man-city/ snip After the international break, there will always be injury concerns, and Chelsea in particular have been very unlucky in that department so far this season. But as reported by Football London, Lampard has revealed that Chritian Pulisic is in contention to play after shaking off a hip injury. But Callum Hudson-Odoi is a doubt. Lampard “He [Pulisic] has been training and is in contention. “Callum has a hamstring problem, he is struggling to make this game. Nothing more on Ruben.” snip
  7. Report: Crystal Palace must pay £5m for Olivier Giroud, plus £7m a year in wages https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/11/22/report-crystal-palace-must-pay-5m-for-olivier-giroud-plus-7m-a-y/ Crystal Palace must pay a fee thought to be around £5 million for Olivier Giroud and pay the Chelsea striker £7m per season, according to The Daily Mirror [November 22, page 79]. Crystal Palace are one of the clubs being credited with an interest in Giroud, as well as Marseille, Montpellier, Lyon and Inter Milan. But it is claimed that the Frenchman risks pricing himself out of a move, with Inter hesitating over his demands. snip
  8. Real Madrid 'turn down Willian move' By Matt Law https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/chelsea/transfer-talk/news/real-madrid-turn-down-willian-move_380226.html Real Madrid have reportedly turned down the chance to sign Chelsea attacker Willian on a free transfer. The Blues are allegedly in negotiations with the Brazil international over a new deal, but as it stands, the 31-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the 2019-20 campaign. Willian would be free to agree a pre-contract with a foreign club at the start of 2020 if he failed to sign an extension with Chelsea, and Barcelona have been strongly linked with a swoop. According to Defensa Central, the South American has also been offered to Madrid, but Zinedine Zidane's side signalled that they would not be interested in signing him on a free transfer. The report claims that Los Blancos are not in the market for a new wide attacker due to the presence of Brazilian youngsters Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes. Willian has contributed three goals and three assists in 15 appearances for Frank Lampard's side this season. snip
  9. Andreas Christensen 'wanted by Barcelona next summer' By Matt Law https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/chelsea/transfer-talk/news/christensen-wanted-by-barca-next-summer_380228.html Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal is reportedly keen to bring Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen to the club in next summer's transfer window. The Spanish side are short of first-team options in central defence with Samuel Umtiti struggling to overcome a knee problem and Jean-Clair Todibo finding it difficult to settle at the club. As a result, head coach Ernesto Valverde has not been given much of an opportunity to rest first-choice pairing Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet during the 2019-20 campaign. According to Mundo Deportivo, Christensen has emerged as a target for the Catalan giants, who will also look to sign a new full-back and striker ahead of the 2020-21 season. Christensen has not turned out for Chelsea in the Premier League since the end of September due to injury, although he did make the bench against Crystal Palace before the international break. The 23-year-old will see his current deal at Stamford Bridge expire in the summer of 2022.
  10. Robben total goals all comps 2004-5 9 2005-6 7 2006-7 3 Duff 2003-4 6 2004-5 10 (6 league) 2005-6 3 JT is on crack. lolol 20 goals a year my sweet FA
  11. so if Willian does stay, you are content to roll into next season with him, CHO, and Pulisic as our wingers? so if Willian stays, chalk off any Sancho, etc attempts same for striker (where I am less concered about a third striker for sure) BUT if we do NOT sell Bats, that means we only have him and Tammy, and odds are high we DO NOT get Werner at that insane low £25m price We are overloaded at AMF (especially when RLC gets back) so no buying there I see many who say we do NOT need to buy a CB at all, even if he sell AC (as many say Guehi is good enough) also many say do not sell Azpi at RB, so no buy there this leaves LB (and if we miss out on Chilwell, and say (as many on here apparently want to) a hard pass on Alex Telles, that leaves my new suggestion (and this is ONLY if he has a full year of great play as he is new to LB) of Malang Sarr. Gaya has a 100m euro release clause so that is a no go and I will be damned if I accept many saying Alex Telles is not good enough simply becuase he has been in Liga NOS till 26, BUT THEN be told that Grimaldo (the same thing in terms of a Liga NOS player, just 2 and a half years younger but 10 cms shorter and slower and simply not as good in my book) is a perfect buy or bust, and the sense I get from an overall averge is that other than him (and maybe the we could be truly arsed at LB if we miss out on Chilwell a backup GK is needed, but we can grab something decent for cheap (or may roll with a 39yo Wille that leaves only DMF/CMF I have seen many say we do not need anyone there or to wait as the club will buy (blahhhh) Declan Rice or some say use Ampadu there. Rive is going to be insanely overpriced and we can get a far better (IMHO) player in Camavinga for 40m or so less, but again, I see zero ties to him from us so it is basically all down to Chilwell and if we fail on him, and the board (which is more than likely going to be the case) ignores Telles and Sarr and keeps Alonso we are rolling into next year with quite possible almost the exact same team, minus Giroud and Pedro I think that is just asking for trouble, especially if we do not get Chillwell and those other two LB options are ignore and either nothing is done there or we buy middling dregs that said, I can so see it happening I have seen some info and talked to some people and I am actually far more pessimistic that we will spend much at all, unless a gift horse is pushed into out faces (surely we MUST at least attempt to grab Werner at that cut rate price) I think the club is in financial expenditure contraction mode and that it is gong to be run far more in terms at looking at extracting steady profits regardless of what is going on in terms of results (as long as we are competitive for a top 4 or even a top 7 finish) I hope I am wrong, but I am far less hopeful of this that I was just a few weeks back. the more I think about it, the less I think we make a move for Sancho, not at the price he will end up going for I just hope that it does not go so far as to mandate we tell Leicester to fuck off if/when they demand 70m quid or so for Chillwell
  12. Height matters on a lot more than just corner kicks when it comes to defence for a fullback when you get BELOW a certain height, and this is the EPL, not La Liga or Ligue 1 and odds are super HIGH that Maatsen is not the next Alves (who I so WOULD take, BTW, if he were 23, lololol) Reece James is not short, but not that tall either (he is shorter than me, by a smidge) but he is a bull physically, so that negates most all there, and his height is in the perfectly acceptable range for me, absolutely), Tomori is decent (1.85m) size, Zouma is a beast I do NOT expect a 1.90m LB, but 10cms shorter than Chilwell (who is 1.78m, not some jumbo sized fullback), is a concern for me until I see more play from Maatsen. I also DO have limits on height, there is often a point for footballers where they are too tall, and lack fluidity. also, IF you are 2 metres plus tall and insanely athletic, strong and silky smooth, you are going to be playing basketball not football anyway
  13. Telles (I have loved him for years, as soon as we missed out the first time on Sandro, I said BUY!, thsi was 3, 4 years ago) was my 2nd choice after Chilwell, but so many freaked out over him, as he has been at Porto for years so they think he is not good enough or some club would have grabbed him long ago. The other thing is (now) his age. He turns 28 in the middle of next season, so we would only get 2 full sub 30yo seasons out of him, and fullbacks almsot always go downhill once they hit 30 (as I have documented on a shit tonne of posts over my time here) so he really is not a longer term solution. ATM, the only WC LB in football over 28yo is literally Jordi Alba at 30 (31 in March), and even he is showing a bit of wear on the tyres. Marcelo crashed out once he hit 30 (as I predicted) Telles is tracking to around 17,000 minutes in the last 4 years at his current pace. That is almost Azpi level (Telles came damn close to 5000 minutes last year, missed it by only 204, and injury time , if it was counted, surely did put him over that 5000 mark, as he played the full 90 or more in all but 3 of his 53 games) and we all know the effect on Azpi with his crazy high minute per season ratio. I still think he is a badass left back, and if he was here this year, we would be so much stronger. I am just trying to offer up longer terms possibilities. I think Malang Sarr is a really interesting option, IF he pans out for the full year at LB. He looks tailor-made for the EPL, but our scouts will have to make that call. Hopefully we get Chilwell and all of this is a moot point. I have resigned myself to both Zouma and Willian being here next year more than likely (Zouma is growing on me, and it happen right after I snapped and said OFF OFF OFF and OUT OUT OUT, lol, he really has had a turnaround since then, it is crazy, like a light going on in his head) but I draw the line at Alonso. He has GOT TO GO, and Emerson is simply not an everyday WC LB (although he is a superb backup level player) Hopefully we sell him and get oe of the three I have talked about here (Chilwell, Sarr, or Telles) I am still pissed we sold Juan Familia-Castillo, I thought he really had a decent chance here, he is a superb passer, had 10 assists and 3 goals at LB for our EPL2 team in a bit over a half a seasons minutes.
  14. True true. 22 is not like being my age (almost 26) and never have played outside of SA. Some players just show their true talent 2, 3, 4 later than others.
  15. one issue with Maatsen he is SO short 1.68m tall and he is no Roberto Carlos to compensate for it that is ten cms shorter than Chilwell, 15 cms shorter than me in my bare feet, lolol if (dog forbid!!!) we miss out on Chilwell the more I watch the more I am all in for Malang Sarr of OGC Nice turns 21 in January, 4 year starter 1.82m, fast, strong, and can play CB too (his original position) would gel so well with fellow French speakers Kante, Zouma, Bats and (if we have half a brain) Camavinga from Stade Rennais (Kantes 17yo eventual replacent in waiting IMHO) AND Konate at CB (he is French too) (Giroud will be gone)
  16. Chelsea Must Cut Ties With Midfielder http://chelseafconline.com/2019/11/chelsea-must-cut-ties-with-midfielder/ Danny Drinkwater could potentially be sent back to Chelsea from Burnley during the January transfer window, according to a report which was published by The Sun. The 29-year-old’s career has undergone a downward spiral since his arrival at Stamford Bridge back in 2017 from Leicester City. After having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues during the summer following the arrival of Frank Lampard as manager of the club, he should the Clarets on loan for this season but has been unable to break into Sean Dyche’s first-team plans. Things have been so bad for the three times capped England international that he has not even made a single appearance for the Clarets this season. Leaving Leicester was a terrible move by Drinkwater Drinkwater played a crucial role in terms of helping the Foxes to win the Premier League title during the 2015/16 season under Claudio Ranieri. He was even on the radar of the England national team prior to his arrival at Stamford Bridge in 2017 and had he stayed at Leicester, may have been in contention for the England squad which competed in the World Cup in Russia last year. During his time with Chelsea, Drinkwater has so far managed to make just 23 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal. He was completely frozen out of the club’s first-team plans by Maurizio Sarri ahead of the 2018/19 season and was basically just paid to do nothing as he made just one appearance in all competitions last season. Drinkwater’s involvement in a brawl outside a night-club in September has not done his reputation any good. Burnley may well be looking to get rid of him during the January transfer window. If Chelsea do indeed end up getting him back, they must also aim to get rid of him and transfer list him. snip
  17. as I predicted oh well next and Camavinga is better anyway AND 6 years younger Guimarães turns 23 next fall and has never played outside of Brasil, so makes one wonder a wee wee bit (not THAT much, lol, do not get me wrong I am so NOT slagging hm off at all)
  18. Jose Mourinho told he has ‘no money’ to spend in January transfer window Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy told Jose Mourinho he will have to sell in January if he wishes to add to his squad. The Portuguse was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement on Tuesday and took training on Wednesday for the first time. No manager has spent more than Mourinho in football history and he splurged around £300m in five transfer windows at Manchester United. Mourinho is on wages of around £13m-a-year in north London, significantly more than the £8m-a-year given to Pochettino and he was hired on the provision that he could rescue Spurs’ bid for the top four Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2019/11/20/jose-mourinho-told-no-money-spend-january-transfer-window-11191821/?ito=cbshare Twitter: https://twitter.com/MetroUK | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MetroUK/
  19. Chelsea put in clinical second half performance to thrash Tottenham Hotspur https://www.sussexexpress.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-put-in-clinical-second-half-performance-to-thrash-tottenham-hotspur-1-9149751 Bethany England scored twice for Chelsea FC Women as they put in a clinical second half performance to thrash rivals Tottenham Hotspur Women 5-1 and seal a quarter-final place in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. Second half goals from Drew Spence, Erin Cuthbert, Deanna Cooper and two from England maintained their perfect record in the cup. Rosella Ayane scored a consolation for the away side who rarely threatened the hosts’ goal. The win ensures Chelsea stay top of Group D in the competition. After a quiet first 45, Chelsea got the breakthrough soon after half time. The away side failed to clear a free kick and after England’s shot was well blocked, the ball falling fortuitously to Spence who fired home from eight yards. Soon after, they doubled their lead. Ashleigh Neville was adjudged to have fouled Hannah Blundell and Cuthbert stood up confidently to score her side’s second. England then got the goal she deserved moments later. Ji So-yun did well to lay the ball off to the striker who then buried it expertly past Chloe Morgan. snip
  20. Sandro would have revolutionised that left side, both covered for and crated for Eden far more than we got he would have been a beast under Conte
  21. It is Pedro (our other RWer who is surely gone) IF Willian leaves as well we need to buy 2 wingers we cannot roll with just CHO and Pulisic Mount is not a winger, its a bad fit there I do not think we will buy two wingers plus the other positions need all in one window, we COULD, we probably should, but I so doubt we will. I think we renew Willian TBH BTW, PSG will lose more than likely lose Neymar first, so they will go for Sancho (and probably fail) even with Mbappe still under contract Another issue is that both CHO (especially CHO) and Pulisic are better at LW than RW Zaha is an absolutely money bin toss IMHO unless we are talking around half of what Palace will demand Ziyech and Zaha also both have the same issue (they are 4 months apart in age, Ziyech being the younger), that being IF we buy either or even both, we only get two sub 30yo full seasons out of either or both. They both turn 28 next season. Not a good long term investment unless we get them on the cheap (which is a fantasy). I also do NOT trust that Ziyech can be a full time EPL star atm, and he is poor on defence, unlike Willian. Zaha is only marginally better in that area. I really like Sancho, but the odds are stacked against us. The one true wild card out there (Mbappe is the biggest pipe dream on the planet) is Dembele at Barca. We would have to REALLLLLY vet him fully, and also we must beat Barca down to a fair price (not easy at all to do). IF Lamps could get the lad's head screwed on straight, Dembele is by FAR the most talented winger out there who is remotely available (other than Neymar and Mbappe) He could, I repeat COULD, be an insane weapon under Lamps. Very intriguing, but so so risky. Oyarzabal would be a far cheaper and safer bet for a left-footed RWer (he can play either wing). He is not a superb athlete, but has crazy high technical skills and footie intelligence. Chiesa is a right-footed winger, but often plays on the RW as well. 'The other (and recent, now that I have seen him play superbly on the RW) option is the left-footed Nicolò Zaniolo (who we ARE linked with and HAVE scouted a lot) of Roma, who is 20yo and is a LARGE strong winger(AMF (1.90m) and good on defence. In short, I have NO idea what we will actually do, lolol
  22. Dier as an second striker Sessegnon back to the academy team (too young, lolol) and a January transfer for Matic from Manure hell maybe Ashley Young too!!!
