Cucurella is a LMF, he played TWO games at fullback all season (out of 45 played) and I mean MF, not LWB, as they play with back 4, a 4 4 2 formation Getafe bought him off Barca for £9m, now, after one meh season (they finished 8th, 33 points behind RM and choked away a Europa League place) they want to triple the price, lololol Getafe went winless in their last 5 games, and scored ONE goal total, they won ONE of their last 12 La Liga games, and were shut out in 7 of those games, including v Levante, Alaves, Osasuna, Espanyol, and Celta Vigo (3 of those are bottom 5 teams, none are in the top half, other than Osasuna at 10th) Cucurella has major fail (and another £27m shit down the loo on a middling fullback, who doesn't even PLAY FB or even wingback) written all over him he is small, weak, poor defensively 7 EL games, zero goals, zero assists he hasn't scored a goal in almost 8 months, has 2 assists since October, every assist was against a shit team, except for one v Athletic Bilbao (in August 2019, lol) I cannot stress how unhappy I am going to be if he is who we buy for a LB

or Gosens the only 3 Spanish players who actually (1 is not really due to insane price) I would be thrilled to see here Saúl Ñíguez (insanely expensive, far out of our price range) Ferran Torres (and TBH, if we get Havertz, we are set for now in terms of left-footed wingers/SS/False Nine/AMF types in Havertz and Ziyech) <<< Pep wants him BAD, which sucks Mikel Oyarzabal (far too expensive to be a backup winger, and he would never settle for that anyway) maybe Pau Torres, but not 100% sold on him yet )another one Pep is looking at) Sergi Roberto is 29yo in February, so zero long term value there Gaya gas a 100m euro release clause, so Valencia can jog on

pure joke that twat Henderson won over de Bruyne and wtf Rashford third??? plus ✅ Wan-Bissaka <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<roflmaoooooooooooo, he is HORRID on offence, I tried to defend him back in the middle of the season, but then I watched like 10 Manure games in a row, and he is almost as bad as Zouma with the ball ✅ Traore < what a joke , he had league 4 goals, lolol (yes 9 assists (and only 2 in his last 13 games), but this vote is saying he is literally the 2 or 3rd best winger (2nd best as Rashford is more of an SS) in the league!! Mane? Salah?? Bernardo? no votes?? Hell Pulisic is a better player atm. so fucked up He has ZERO league goals in 2020, ZERO, absolutely he got these votes because of two games (the Shitty games) where he scored 3 or his 4 goals in) ✅ Grealish <<< his team was shit and he faded HARD ✅ Evans <<<< most bizarre on here, he wasn't even their best CB

4 4 2 double 6 with Rice and Kante (and eventually Camavinga when Kante ages out or is too injured) on the pivot a decent keeper (just find one who actually stops shots, doesn't have to be £200m plus Oblak) Milenkovic and Klostermann at CB Theo or Telles at LB, Reece or Azpi at RB (eventually Nordi Mukiele if Reece bombs out) Pulisic and Ziyech on the wings 2 strikers Werner and Havertz I can but dream

no hard pass short (he was always listed at 1.72m at Barca, not he has magically grown 3cms at Getafe?), I was not impressed with him at Barca he is shit defensively too and in almost 3700 minutes (including mostly in pinball La Liga), 1 goal, 6 assists all comps €30m for him is MADNESS

disagree Klostermann and Milenkovic would be massive here is what is out there from my viewpoint world class Raphaël Varane (do not say never until we dangle Kante + something) José Giménez (he is recovered physically now, see below at bottom) Matthijs de Ligt (we do not know until we dangle Kante + Emerson) Marquinhos (would have to involve Kante) Milan Skriniar (he is only 25 still, and is better in a back 2, not a 3 like Conte plays) Kalidou Koulibaly (too old now unless we got a superb deal, which isnt going to happen) Alessio Romagnoli (probably impossible as I doubt he leaves Italy) left-footed (3rd best left-footed CB on the planet after Laporte and Lucas Hernandez) just slightly below and the first two have huge upsides (I would do a dance if we got them both) Lukas Klostermann (has been super all year since he went to CB from RB for Leipzig, 1.89m motor from hell, pretty pacy, just turned 24yo) Nikola Milenkovic (1.95m 22yo Serbian beast, already a 3 and half year starter) Diego Carlos Stefan de Vrij solid veterans and/ or EPL proven Nico Elvedi Caglar Söyüncü (almost impossible pull though atm) Matthias Ginter Lewis Dunk Stefan Savic (29yo though, 30 in January) Malang Sarr (is a free agent, only 21yo but has a 4 year starter for Nice already) left-footed young with great upsides Ibrahima Konaté (just turned 21, huge, 1.95m, just depends on how he recovers from a long term hip flexor injury, insane upside if he recovers oki, which he should, vastly more potential than his teammate Upmecano IMHO) Edmond Tapsoba Mohammed Salisu left-footed (SOTON just bought him though I think) Evan N'Dicka left-footed Pau Torres left-footed Ozan Kabak Merih Demiral Marash Kumbulla Dan-Axel Zagadou left-footed Jules Koundé Boubacar Kamara Duje Caleta-Car Gabriel Magalhães left-footed Luiz Felipe true youth Strahinja Pavlovic (19yo beast, 1.94m, left footed, my father loves him at Monanco) Benoît Badiashile (another 19yo left footer at Monaco, 1.92m) Ronald Araújo (21yo, 1.91m, Uruguyan on Barca B most of the season, now promoted) Zinho Vanheusden (20yo Beligian, Inter may buy him back for €20m from Standard Liège) Wesley Fofana (19yo 1.91m on Saint-Étienne, was partnered with Saliba of Arsenal) José Giménez

this is so true was before I was born (end of 1992), but holy fuck did we have some crappers eeeeeekkkkkk Lampard is a rookie topflight coach, so despite my same day raging (heat of the moment and all that), I have to cut him some slack I just hope he learns from it all and those CB's and ESPECIALLY Kepa, are some damn unstable rocks upon which to build a decent defence Klopp had some absolute JOKE games his first two years at the dippers, as he had crap as well in the back Simon Mignolet Loris Karius Mamadou Sakho Dejan Lovren Ragnar Klavan Martin Skrtel Kolo Touré

LAMPARD DRAWS PARALLELS WITH 2003 AS FINAL-DAY DECIDER LOOMS https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/07/26/frank-lampard-draws-parallels-with-2003-as-final-day-decider-loo?cardIndex=0-0 ‘We’re not quite in that situation this time but we have an opportunity to get a position that maybe people didn’t expect us to be in...' There is not as much on the line today as the final day of the 2002/03 Premier League season, when Chelsea faced Liverpool in a win-or-bust clash for Champions League qualification which had significant consequences for the financial health of the football club, though Frank Lampard can draw some parallels with the tension of that day 17 years ago as he prepares his Blues side to face a final-day decider of their own this afternoon. The Blues host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge with their top-four fate in their own hands; avoid defeat against the Midlanders and a place at the top table of European competition next season will be ours. We have an insurance policy too in that a Manchester United win at Leicester City will also secure a finish in the top four for Lampard’s side, though the boss is not considering that possibility as he seeks the three points that would complete the delayed and doubted objective of Champions League qualification. snip

this is what we are looking at in terms of sales £500-550m or so (it dicey to say exactly) worth of players here en toto (pre-COVID valuations are more when you count every single one listed) but obviously not all can be sold in one window We need to sell (so much dregs , my head spins every time) Álvaro Morata (Done, great business) Mario Pasalic (Done, and yes, we got hosed for around £15m, but we had no guarantees at the time, I am not that upset) Andreas Christensen (he has GOT to go and be upgraded upon, I would prefer both he and Zouma be sold, but that is probably not happening in one window unless we get 2 incredible buy deals tossed into our laps, which is so unlikely) I just do not see what Lamps sees in our 4 main CB's, they (and Kepa) make my tummy churn every game. Even Alonso has not done that for ages (I have been happy with his pay overall, except for that West Ham choke, arrrrffff). Ross Barkley (if we can get say £30m, even 35m (he is English and is only 26 and is in his prime) for him, he will never be worth more (well COVID maybe lowers that a bit, but not much) plus Bayer failed to get CL then a Barks sale plus Havertz buy is only around £45-55m or so net spend) Tiemoué Bakayoko Emerson Michy Batshuayi Davide Zappacosta Danny Drinkwater (SMDH) Jorginho (Juve need to cough up serious cash or work a swap deal involving de Ligt for Jorgi plus cash or maybe Emerson as I rate those 2 as being worth £70-80m-ish, although that is probably an pipe dream now that he has rebounded a bit the last 6 months) Abdul Rahman Baba Victor Moses Kenedy Marco van Ginkel Juan Familia-Castillo (as Ajax did not exercise their option to buy, or keep him and see if he can ever be a decent LB, which looks doubtful atm, based off my watching him in Holland) Nathan Charly Musonda Jr. Danilo Pantic Matt Miazga Lewis Baker Jamal Blackman Lucas Piazón Jake Clarke-Salter Izzy Brown Josh Grant Richard Nartey (released) Luke McCormick Jacob Maddox We could sell Kepa (not likely, especially due to crazy wages for the next 5 years and his £72m transfer fee, ie. how much are we willing to lose of that overall) Zouma (sorry, he is shit too) Marcos Alonso (only if we buy two LB's which is not likely this window, I am oki with him as a the backup as he is curve ball option in certain types of games) N'Golo Kanté (only way I see him being sold is if we get Rice and a really HIGH offer comes in. Here is a reality check either way: he is injured far too often and his value has already plummeted and truly will plummet after this summer. It is complicated, and made further complicated by the fact he is NOWHERE near WC as an RMF in a 3 man MF, he simply is not that great there, other than an odd game here and there, Lampard jacked up the team forcing him back in too early) Olivier Giroud (I would keep him) Rudiger (very unlikely, especially as he is helping recruit these German players, plus I expect him to rebound, go back to a higher level of play, I know many hate him, but it is what it is and I have faith he screws his head on tight next year) Leave on a free Willian (unless he renews for 2 years, which he still says no way to) Pedro

ZERO chance, less than zero, we sell Jorginho + Barkley for only a combined £54m have you see the prices that Marina has demanded for players? have you seen the offers she has turned down for players? hell if Juve came in and Monday said £54m for Jorginho, I bet she would semi dig in her heels and try and go for £6 to 8m more

I cannot recall when I have been more nervous before a game in the past few years so much (long term, not just short) riding on this a massive boost to our bottom line (and thus transfers)

Jamie Carragher tells Chelsea FC to sign 'game-changer' Jan Oblak this summer Frank Lampard has made an excellent start at Chelsea - adding Jan Oblak could make them title contenders Under Lampard, Chelsea have become one of the country's most exciting teams going forward, but at the back they are a mess https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/07/24/frank-lampard-has-made-excellent-start-chelsea-adding-jan/

I think they would consider offers for all of the following the red ones they desperately want to sell Neto (would have to be a HIGH bid) Iñaki Peña Samuel Umtiti Jean-Clair Todibo Júnior Firpo Juan Miranda Nélson Semedo Sergi Roberto (would have to be a HIGH bid) Emerson Royal Moussa Wagué Oriol Busquets Ivan Rakitic Carles Aleñá Arturo Vidal Rafinha Philippe Coutinho Ousmane Dembélé Martin Braithwaite Ronald Araújo <<< interesting player, 21yo 1.91m Uruguayan CB some are saying he can be a baby Varane

Highly-rated Chelsea youngster Samuel Iling-Junior set to sign for Juventus — report Looking for better pathways to senior-team football https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2020/7/25/21338158/highly-rated-chelsea-youngster-samuel-iling-junior-set-to-sign-for-juventus-report A couple months back, there were reports that Juventus were leading the race to sign Chelsea’s highly-rated youngster Samuel Iling-Junior, and now, they are apparently close to signing the 16-year-old. According to Goal Italia, the Chelsea U18 player has already been in Turin for the past few days, and only the final details are left to be sorted out. The Old Lady have beaten out clubs like Ajax, Schalke 04, Bayern Munich and PSG for the kid’s signature. As reported earlier, Chelsea did make an offer of a professional contract as well (which the kid could sign once he turned 17), but it looks like his mind had already been swayed. Primarily a left winger, Iling-Junior made 8 appearances in the U18 Premier League and 3 appearances in the UEFA Youth League this season. He represents England’s U17 side at the international level and has often been touted to be a future star in the making. Losing him would no doubt be a blow to the Blues, but with the likes of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi already at the club, as well as Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner joining us next season, it is only logical that the youngster has chosen a club that he believes will provide a less daunting path to senior-team football. Juventus do not have a good track record of promoting youngsters, but there’s a good chance that they have agreed to provide other incentives as well. In any case, all the best for your next endeavor, Samuel!

Michy Batshuayi rejects Club Brugge — report Still hoping to make it in the big leagues https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2020/7/25/21338143/michy-batshuayi-rejects-club-brugge-report Michy Batshuayi’s future at Chelsea, or lack thereof to be exact, is basically a foregone conclusion at this point. (Almost) completely ostracized from the matchday squads since the Restart, his last in a disappointing string of performances for the club came all the way back on the final day of February. It’s hard to see his situation changing anytime soon, especially with both Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud in good scoring form and Timo Werner coming in. Batshuayi’s contract expires in 2021, but transfer interest has been lacking — partly because of his form, partly because of his wages, and partly because of Chelsea’s silly €40m asking price. West Ham were said to be interested at one point, but have rejected him as part of a package for Declan Rice. One of his former loan clubs, Crystal Palace, had been the only other team reportedly interested. Of course, another factor that could explain the absence of interested sides could be Michy’s own personal ambitions as well. For example, according to Nieuwsblad, Belgian top flight outfit Club Brugge inquired about the situation recently, with a view towards a potential summer move. However, Batshuayi has apparently rejected that idea out of hand, and would not want to return to his home country even if Brugge met his and Chelsea’s financial demands. Batshuayi, who will turn 27 later this year, still wants to continue playing in England or another top league and has the self-belief to be optimistic that his ambitions of making it at the highest level are not over yet. However, at a certain point, one needs to be realistic about their career prospects. In this case, Michy also needs to comprehend that the market will not be the same this summer due to the pandemic. While he still has all the tools to play in a “top-5” league, he will likely have to settle for a move to a “lesser league” — or watching the Chelsea games from the stands or his bedroom for a full season.
