the gap between Mendy as a regular open play GK and Mendy as a pen saver is CRAY he is HORRID at pens and surely, if we all know Willy is a pen master, Tuchel knows it is the cause of the biggest Chels GK drama in club history the Kepa v Sarri nightmare -

you forgot the ultimate not show up 😿 on the positive side, that is pretty much ever shit game we have had under Tuchel, other than his first game (nil nil with wolves) and the 1 1 draw with SOTON, as we got robbed in that Manure game (same as the first Manure game under Lamps) -
I always think about transfer market, it is a huge interest if mine, and nothing much left to think about in terms of CL final. We have all players healthy, we have little pressure in us for a final, and I trust Tuchel to stop fucking about with the tinkering. I am so hoping Werner and Havertz and Pulisic and/Ziyech come up with huge games, plus our MF stays strong and we play defence to our normal Tuchel level. I am not freaking out at all. De Bruyne is key to shut down, and there are 2 wild card players who truly worry me, in terms of bounce back, Sterling and Agüero. The rest we know are all class. Only benefit we have is that Cancelo is likely forced to play LB again, as a wrong footed player. If he was a left-footer, dog help us.

€125m (likely over €150m once bonuses and agent fees are counted) for a 29yo (in 3 weeks) LB/CB who will insist on playing DMF (where you already have the the 2nd best, arguably, (after Kimmich) on the planet in Casemiro) is madness completely dead money his value plummets after this season as a CB he is so dependent on pace, and that will start to go after 2 years or so, plus he is not a large lad (slender and only 1.80m, and I think more like 1.78m) so is likely to start to get injured more too, and is vulnerable to crosses as a 24-25yo LB, hell yes, he is worth that for 5 years not now IMHO

‘OUTSTANDING’: TUCHEL SAYS LIVERPOOL LINKED ACE IS ‘ONE OF THE CRAZIEST NATURAL TALENTS’ https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/05/28/outstanding-tuchel-says-liverpool-linked-ace-is-one-of-the-craziest-natural-talents/ Speaking to Soccer Am’s YouTube channel, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been waxing-lyrical about reported Liverpool target Ousmane Dembele. Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Dembele for quite some time now, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that the Reds have always had an eye on the Frenchman. Tuchel clearly believes that he’s a quality player. WHAT’S BEEN SAID? Tuchel was asked who is the best player he’s ever managed, and he believes that Dembele is amongst the greatest he’s ever coached. “One of the first names that comes to mind is Ousmane Dembele when he came to Dortmund. He had a natural talent and he was very outstanding,” Tuchel said. “We had Mats Hummels, we had Gundogan, Mhitaryan, Aubameyang. I’m forgetting top players, “But Ousmane Dembele was one of the craziest natural talents because he could shoot free kicks with his left and with his right, take corners from the left and then going to another corner and doing an inswinger with the right. Dribbling, running, passing. He was on the highest level at just 18 years old when his development wasn’t finished,” Tuchel said. Photo by Pedro Salado/Quality Sport Images/Getty Images WHAT A TALENT Tuchel only coached Dembele for one season when he was a teenager, but he believes he’s amongst the best players he’s ever coached. Bear in mind the fact that Tuchel has managed the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and N’Golo Kante and it’s easy to see just how big this praise is. Dembele is undoubtedly a fantastic talent, and with Liverpool reportedly eyeing him up, we can only hope we get the chance to see him play in the Premier League sooner rather than later. Conor Gallagher wins West Bromwich Albion Young Player of the Season award https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2021/5/28/22457804/conor-gallagher-wins-west-bromwich-albion-young-player-of-the-season-award Conor Gallagher had a rather impressive loan stint with West Bromwich Albion, with the 21-year-old going on to make 32 appearances for the Baggies across all competitions. While he was unable to help his side retain their place in the Premier League, the Chelsea loanee was one of their most vital players — under both coaches, Slaven Bilić and Sam Allardyce — and he has shown tremendous growth over the past year. West Brom decided to recognize Gallagher’s contributions by awarding him with their Young Player of the Season award. Congrats, Conor! Notable past winners of this award include the likes of Sam Field, Rekeem Harper and Dara O’Shea. Gallagher himself had won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year in 2019. Gallagher, who has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists this season, is expected to be a part of Chelsea’s preseason for next season and is one of the frontrunners to be part of next generation of youngsters who should be integration into the first-team.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has no plans of leaving Chelsea this summer https://sportslens.com/callum-hudson-odoi-has-no-plans-of-leaving-Chelsea-this-summer/359404/ Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi is prepared to fight for his future and has no plans of leaving the Blues this summer, Goal.com reports. The 21-year-old has had another tough season with the west London club, where he has struggled to secure regular playing time. It was recently reported that the Blues were open to parting ways with Hudson-Odoi, with interest from German giants Borussia Dortmund. However, it appears that the England international has no desire to leave and won’t accept being a makeweight for either Harry Kane or Jadon Sancho. The Blues have not seen the best of Hudson-Odoi in recent years, but it is claimed that the club still have confidence in the player’s ability. Sportslens view: Hudson-Odoi has registered five goals and five assists from 37 games this term, but he has averaged just 50 minutes per appearance. The youngster has the potential to become a top-class player, but he has struggled to find consistency to stake a claim for a regular role. When Thomas Tuchel arrived as the manager in January, he played him regularly in the right wing-back position ahead of Reece James. However, within a few weeks, Hudson-Odoi dropped down the pecking order, with James and Cesar Azpilicueta getting the nod. Tuchel recently urged Hudson-Odoi to work harder to live up to his potential, and the forward seems prepared to stay patient. He has three years remaining on his £120,000-a-week contract, and next season could be make-or-break for him with the Blues.
