another player wrecked by going to Barca, he just may really turn it around, he was a beast for Real Betis
-
I think he could be a good signing he does produce the numbers when played 12 goals, 15 assists in around 3500 topflight minutes, granted the majority at Braga but also, his league goals and assists at Barca work out to around 13 goals, 9 assists if he played a full season (around 3000 minutes)

Ferran at 20/21 years of age David Silva at same age Silva only scored double digit league goals once in his career btw (2014/15 when he scored 12, but that year he scored none in any other competition) 3 other times he scored 10 goals exactly, all comps (2 of those were in 2 of his last three seasons with Citeh, 2017/18 and 2018/19) he turned into an assist machine as soon as he came to Citeh in 2010/11 including his best year 2011/12, when he had 21 in all comps, plus 8 goals (the year they won the title in the last couple minutes of added time)

Jose Mourinho admits players he has coached 'may think I'm a bastard' due to how direct he is and claims he's 'a victim of my own success' as he reflects on his coaching career ahead of taking over at Roma https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9754499/Jose-Mourinho-admits-players-coached-think-Im-b-d-direct-is.html Jose Mourinho says he has been a 'victim of his own success' and that he hasn't been given the same leeway that other coaches have. The former Tottenham and Manchester United manager has also said that his players may view his as a 'bastard' due to his direct approach. However, he insists honesty is the best policy when managing a team - even if it leads to rocky relationships, as seen with Dele Alli and Luke Shaw. When speaking about his book titled 'Mantenham-se Loucos e Famintos' - or 'Stay Crazy and Hungry' in English - Mourinho said: 'I've been a victim of myself and, if I could, it would be one of the things I wouldn't repeat. 'I won, won and won and I entered into a kind of dynamic where not winning seemed like the end of the world. 'I, myself, because of my personality, made out that the training, the games and the job were all to win, win, win ... and then, when I came to situations where it was very difficult to win, which for other coaches is something acceptable, in my case it was never enough. 'Not winning was a failure, but that isn't true. I always tell the players that, with me, they'll find an honest guy. 'They'll find a guy who will tell you the truth, the things you want to hear and also the things you don't. 'Some may say that I'm a bad coach, that I was a bastard, but no one can say that I wasn't serious or honest.' Alli fell out of favour under Mourinho and endured the most challenging period of his career. Alli played just 15 times in the Premier League during the 2020-21 season and thought about leaving the club in the January transfer window. Mourinho's relationship with Alli was captured on Amazon's All or Nothing documentary. The Portuguese manager was heard shouting 'you are fucking lazy' to Alli during training. He. then added: 'I'm going to be a pain in the arse on you, and you are lucky. You are lucky, because when I am a pain in the arse it is a good thing.' Mourinho also shamed Alli in front of his team-mates saying: 'I understood already that you are a fucking lazy guy in training.' Shaw and Mourinho have also had a rocky relationship dating back from when the Portuguese manager was in charge at Old Trafford. The pair also came to blows more recently Mourinho said Shaw's set-piece taking for England was 'dramatically bad.' To which he responded on Twitter saying: 'He continuously talks about me, which I find quite strange. Even some of the lads have said 'What's his problem?' and 'Why does he keep talking?' 'He just needs to move on. Hopefully he can find his peace with that and finally move on and stop worrying about me. Clearly I am in his head a lot and he clearly thinks about me a lot.' He also said: 'Maybe, inside, you are telling me to fuck off, but I have to tell you exactly what I see. 'I have no doubts about your potential. I saw you do incredible things in incredible matches. But I always felt that you had ups and downs.' Mourinho was recently announced as the new AS Roma manager after touching down in Italy. The Portuguese coach, 58, received his marching orders from Tottenham in April after turgid campaign saw them crash out of the Europa League and fall short of challenging for a top four finish. Mourinho found work weeks after his Spurs dismissal, taking on a new challenge with the Serie A side and has spent his summer in London where he has taken up punditry duties with talkSPORT. However, now the ex-Chelsea and Manchester United boss is ready to get back in the hotseat for the coming campaign.

Italy players believe 'The Professor' Jorginho is a contender for the Ballon d'Or after his stellar campaign with Chelsea and his country... Roberto Mancini has built his impressive team around the midfield pass master https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9755697/Italy-players-believe-Jorginho-contender-Ballon-dOr-stellar-campaign.html Few players in the Premier League divide opinion more than Jorginho but Italy coach Roberto Mancini has no doubts about the man they call 'the Professor'. In three seasons at Chelsea, Jorginho has won the Europa League and the Champions League yet still not everybody is convinced. While nobody would question the 29-year-old's intelligence or passing ability, doubters point to his lack of pace and what they deem his safety-first approach. He was signed under Maurizio Sarri and never entirely convinced Frank Lampard before growing in importance again for Thomas Tuchel. But for Italy, who approach their first major semi-final for nine years, Jorginho is indispensable. No player has made more appearances in Mancini's three-year reign and he is key to Italy's possession-based 4-3-3 system. It may raise eyebrows in England, but Jorginho is regarded so highly in Italy that team-mates and media believe he is a contender for the Ballon d'Or. 'It is not up to me to say who should win it, but Jorginho would deserve it,' said Italy forward Lorenzo Insigne, who played with Jorginho at Napoli from 2014-18. 'It's correct that people are talking about him. He has had some brilliant years at Chelsea and we are proud to have a player like him in our team. We call him the Professor and he is a great player.' Jorginho's display in the 2-1 quarter-final win over Belgium highlighted his importance. Whenever an Italy player needed a passing option, Jorginho was there. When Jorginho had the ball, he didn't hang on to it for long. At times, it felt as though he was manoeuvring his team-mates around the pitch like remote-control cars. 'Honestly, I don't think about the Ballon d'Or,' said Jorginho. 'My priority is to think about the team because celebrating with your friends, all together, is much better than celebrating alone.' If he does climb to the top step of the podium, he will have done it the hard way. Born in Brazil, Jorginho — full name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho — left his hometown of Imbituba aged 14 to enrol at a football school more than 100 miles away. By 17, he was playing for the academy of Italian club Hellas Verona where he lodged with other young players in an ancient monastery. 'I called my mum, crying and saying I wanted to come back and give up football but she just refused. So thanks mum, thanks dad for that because they have played a big part.' Having survived those experiences, a Wembley semi-final will not worry Jorginho, though he will be keen to improve on his record there of two wins in eight games in the last three years. Whatever he achieves in the remainder of Euro 2020, Jorginho will never convince everyone at Chelsea. Yet even if Italy fall to Spain on Tuesday, nothing will shake Mancini's faith in the Professor.

they really have digressed to this good call and they are SO fucked atm if Benz goes down their squad is so hollow and will only get worse barring massive moves Thibaut Courtois (without him, they would be so fucked) Andriy Lunin (so untested) Raphaël Varane (perhaps gone as well, which would be a disaster unless they replace him with an equal level CB, I made a list in the past of the only CB's they would likely move for, it is not a large list and all are crazy expensive and/or hard to pull) David Alaba (barring a transfer in, and especially if Varane leaves, he is stuck at CB) Éder Militão overrated, I so do not rate him (RM plastics claim he is a top 10 in planet CB, LOLOLOL) Nacho Fernández overrated (another one the plastics think is godlike) Jesús Vallejo pure dregs, he could not get minutes at Wolves, ffs and was sent back early Ferland Mendy decent LB, but limited offensively Marcelo rinsed Miguel Gutiérrez youth player Daniel Carvajal had a poor year for him, and unlike many, the Plastics are on his arse hard Álvaro Odriozola dregs, major bust Casemiro (only DMF in the squad, but is a top 3 in world traditional DMF) Fede Valverde (great young CMF) Toni Kroos (may retire after this coming season) Dani Ceballos dregs and will be sold Luka Modric (soon 36) Martin Ødegaard (up for sale, but may stay as ZZ left) Isco (turns 30yo this season, is a shadow of his former self) Brahim Díaz (meh) Eden Hazard (enough said, injuries have ended his career at top level more than likely) Vinícius Júnior a bust so far Marco Asensio never came close to his potential so far, meh Rodrygo a bust so far Gareth Bale (when is tee time? LOL) Takefusa Kubo (youth player who has not taken it up a level whilst out on loan so far) Lucas Vázquez (the very fact he was one of their best players last season tells it all, plus he is now 30yo) Sergio Arribas youth player Karim Benzema (they best pray 10,000 hail Mary's he stays healthy) Luka Jovic dregs IMHO, a bullet dodged also up for sale Mariano Díaz dregs and up for sale then these 2 come back in summer 2022 from long term loans sub zero chance I would swap squads with them, I would be going fucking BONKERS if we had that lot
-
they seem to dislike double pivots, they basically rely on all-action man Casemiro to do most of their MF dirty work can you imagine Jorginho and Modric paired if Casemiro is not available eek Kroos or Valverde (capable of it) would have to do a tonne extra legwork
-
no problem, cheers

lol I deleted it, I put it in the wrong thread, moved it to the transfer pub

IF this happens, Dusan Vlahovic is still probably still on the table, but if CR7 leaves, for sure (95% IMHO) he is gone to Juve. TRANSFER NEWS - CRISTIANO RONALDO'S AGENT APPROACHES JUVENTUS OVER CONTRACT EXTENSION - REPORT https://www.eurosport.com/football/transfers/2020-2021/transfer-news-cristiano-ronaldo-s-agent-approaches-juventus-over-contract-extension-report_sto8405132/story.shtml Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Juventus for a new contract, according to a report in Italy. The Juventus star has been the subject of transfer speculation since Portugal were knocked out of Euro 2020. Ronaldo was tipped to leave Juventus in search of a new challenge, but Gazzetta dello Sport claim the forward’s agent has moved to dispel rumours his client could be on the move. Jorge Mendes has approached Juventus this week about extending Ronaldo’s deal until 2023, which will serve as the clearest indication yet the goalscorer plans to stay in Turin.

self-delete, wrong thread

Barca yes, for sure, but probably not Real, he doesn't fit their footie style IMHO.

cannot believe I am saying this, but I so hope Brasil win the Copa America, unless Colombia beats Argentina. (I was really hoping it would be Uruguay, but they cocked up the pen shootout versus Colombia in the QF's) the Pessi fanboi club is just going wild with hate on CR7 (and I am not even a big fan of him tbh) online it is crazy the cult-like slavishness that Pessi Inc. has worst football fans on the planet, especially as most of them really do not even understand football (unlike the cunts from Manure, Pool, Juve, Bayern, etc) Second worst are Real plastics, but at least many stayed loyal to RM after CR7 left (although they too mostly do not understand footie) Pessi Inc. will drop Barca like a hot potato when he bounces

you are off on all of those ages (in bold is what you said) at the start of next season (what you said) they are KdB - 31 (just turned 30 a week ago, on June 28) Gundogan - 31 (is 30yo, turns 31 October 24) this is the only one you are sort of close too Kane - 29 (Kane is 27, turns 28 July 28th) Walker - 32 (just turned 31 May 28, not 32 until after next season ends) Fernandinho - 38 (is 36, turns 37 May 4th, 2022) Mahrez - 31 (is 30, turns 31 February 21, 2022) Then you have some of their speed merchant players pushing for 30 during that season: Sterling 28 (is 26, turns 27 Dec 8th) Cancelo 28 (is 27, doesn't turn 28 until May 27, 2022, after the season ends)

Chelsea star surprisingly among fastest players in Euro 2020 ahead of Sterling, Mbappe https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/international/Chelsea-star-surprisingly-among-fastest-players-in-euro-2020-ahead-of-sterling-mbappe/ Chelsea and Denmark centre-back Andreas Christensen is among the top 10 players in the Euro 2020 in terms of top speed records. The 25-year-old has had a great tournament so far, having helped Denmark reach the semi-finals. Christensen himself is arguably one of the outstanding players in the tournament. He has made 30 ball recoveries in the five games he played — joint ninth-best in the competition, as well as six tackles and seven clearance attempts. Defending aside, he has also been showcasing his ball-playing abilities, completing 90% of his passes so far. Not to mention that he surprised a lot of people, including BBC pundit Ashley Williams, with his impressive display in midfield against Wales. Christensen might surprise more people as he has recorded joint seventh-highest top speed in the tournament according to the UEFA’s official website. Italy’s Leonardo Spinazzola and Hungary’s Loic Nego tied at the top with recorded top speeds of 33.8 km/h, but Christensen is certainly not far off at 33.3 km/h. This puts Christensen above a number of notoriously quick players such as England’s Raheem Sterling (33.1 km/h) and Kyle Walker (32.8 km/h) and even France’s Kylian Mbappe (32.2 km/h). Obviously, players rarely hit their natural top speed during the actual game — and Mbappe would likely still beat Christensen in a 100 m race. But it is still interesting how Christensen, who is not known for his pace, is among the top 10 in the competition. Jorginho is another standout Chelsea player in terms of statistics at the Euro. The Italy international has covered 57.7 km of the pitch in five games, third-most in the whole tournament. While it has a lot to do with his playing more games than many others, he still covers 11.54 km per game on average. For comparison, N’Golo Kante covered 46.2 km in four games or 11.55 km per game. Well, even Cesar Azpilicueta recently said that Spain must limit Jorginho’s involvement in the upcoming semi-final match in order to reach the final.

only for certain positions look at wingers for instance Insigne (30yo) is the only decent one over 27yo (unless you count CR7 who is now listed at CF) every LWer over 24yo every RWer over 24yo every SS Josip Ilicic is ageing out, that leaves only 3 decent ones in the entire league, a 29yo, a 27yo, and a 26yo every AMF 30yo or older every RMF over 24yo every LMF in the league It is only at CF (in terms of offensive players) where you really get the grandpa effect (and even there is it really only the 5 oldest on the list, the rest are all 32yo or younger) all these are 30yo or older and still banging them in or assisting on them Zlatan Ibrahimovic 39 AC Milan Fabio Quagliarella 38 UC Sampdoria Cristiano Ronaldo 36 Juventus Edin Dzeko 35 AS Roma 350+ career topflight goals (over 500 total goals produced including assists) for club and country, truly overlooked great striker Dries Mertens 34 SSC Napoli Alexis Sánchez 32 Inter Milan (14 total league goals (7+7) produced in only 1100 minutes) Ciro Immobile 31 SS Lazio Duván Zapata 30 Atalanta BC Luis Muriel 30 Atalanta BC

Tadic is a farmer league flat track bully and turns 33yo in 4 and half months
-
Citeh FOR SURE with Pedri Pep is already drooling over him fuck us all if they get him and Kane plus some other top notch players (you know they will spend a lorry full of cash)
-
yes, and two of those (Dest and Emerson Royal) are both RWB/RB's and not my first choices there, but certainly are decent ter Stegen would NEVER accept a move to fight for top keeper Ronald Araújo is speculative (nowhere near my top choice for CB) and Ilaix Moriba, a CMF, is a youth player (turned 18 around 5 months ago, has only 18 career topflight games), albeit with huge potential that leaves only Frenkie de Jong Pedri as true great players as of right now (unless you give in and tell Mendy, sorry, ter Stegen is now the man, thanks for the CL and the memories, which would be insane IMHO) and those are probably the LAST 3 on their current roster (Messi is not on it atm) that Barca would part with Ilaix Moriba would be the one I would make a move for, and Emerson Royal (IF we fail on our other RWB targets)

Aston Villa 'fancy' completing Chelsea transfer Latest Aston Villa transfer news from BirminghamLive brings what the latest reports in the national press have been saying about the Lions' interest in Chelsea's Valentino Livramento https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-Chelsea-transfer-news-20968964 Aston Villa have again been credited with an interest in Chelsea youngster Valentino Livramento. Villa were first linked with a move for Livramento earlier this year with the 18 year-old out of contract with Chelsea next year. Southampton have also been mentioned as a potential destination for Livramento while Championship promotion contenders AFC Bournemouth are the latest club to be tipped to move for the player. The Daily Star report that 'several' established teams in Europe want to land the right-sides player who can operate as a wing-back. Bournemouth are said to be keen to bring the youngster to Dean Court on loan.

LOLOLOLOL right on cue you can set yer fucking Rolex to it! Serie A side ‘change their stance’ on Chelsea star and want him on loan https://astamfordbridgetoofar.com/2021/07/05/transfer-news-ac-milan-change-stance-on-Chelsea-star-hakim-ziyech/ Transfer News: AC Milan change stance regarding Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech According to a report by Italian publication, Corriere dello Sport via SempreMilan (h/t Football.london), AC Milan now want to sign Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech on loan instead of a permanent transfer. The Moroccan wide-man joined the club just last summer in a move from Eredivisie giants, Ajax. But life in English football did not get off to a roaring start for him. Multiple fitness issues saw him sidelined for a number of games under Frank Lampard. And ever since Thomas Tuchel took over the helm earlier this year, Ziyech’s role is reduced largely to being a squad player in the league. (h/t Transfermarkt)

“At the moment”: Romano names Chelsea’s priority transfer target to strengthen midfield https://astamfordbridgetoofar.com/2021/07/04/declan-rice-is-a-priority-target-for-Chelsea-claims-fabrizio-romano/ Declan Rice is a priority target for Chelsea claims Fabrizio Romano Speaking on his Twitch stream (h/t Express), reputed journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea have made West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice a priority this summer. Rice has been on the radars of Chelsea for the longest time now. An ex-academy trainee, the England international left the Blues for West Ham in 2014 where he completed his footballing education before bursting onto the scenes in the Premier League as a teenager. Since then, Rice has grown into one of the best defensive midfielders in the league and has established himself as a permanent fixture in the England national team as well. Indeed, the West Ham star has been brilliant in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2020, helping the Three Lions make it to the semi-finals of the competition. And, Romano has claimed that Chelsea have made the former academy man their priority to strengthen the midfield this summer. Although, he does mention that the Hammers’ valuation could make things difficult. (h/t Express) Romano also claimed that AS Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni is someone that the club could look at as an alternative to Rice in case a move does not pan out.

Barca are truly the worst run club in the history of football when you look at total money shit away. If a firm in the US or UK was run like they are, the directors would likely be facing prison time for fiduciary fraud, and even if they faced no criminal charges, they would be facing massive civil lawsuits. Example: They have spent (just ONE player) over £70m (over €82m) on Miralem Pjanić in the last 10 months (transfer fee + add-ons + salary) and now are supposedly willing to let him walk on a free. It is just insane. ROFLMAO We are crazy if we pick up his salary (around £300K PW guaranteed for the next THREE years, the last year in which he turns 34yo). Pessi is a fool to re-up there, unless he simply doesn't care anymore and just wants the payday (which is entirely possible, he is one greedy little cunt).
