  1. I know it was posted already but seriously WTF is up with this?? that is some dodgy speculative trash reporting from the Daily Heil and the Broughton group is relying on 2 YANK hedge fund/private equity hyenas so how the fuck can they say: It (Boehly group) doesn't look good compared to the alternative, a diverse ownership group with the great and the good of Britain on board gaslighting deluxe Lets look at Broughton's group Brits Broughton (figurehead, not remotely close to a billionaire, I would be shocked if he was worth more than £20m) Lord Coe (figurehead, same for net worth, around £40m, 50m max) Lewis Hamilton (eye candy, net worth is around £250m) he is investing £10m The True Blue consortium, headed by former Chelsea captain John Terry, has endorsed Stephen Pagliuca's bid for the club. Non Brits Serena Williams (eye candy, net worth is £200m or so max) she is investing £10m The two yanks, Josh Harris (net worth around £4.5 billion) and Dave Blitzer (net worth of around £1 billion from all I can see), would hold a controlling stake in Chelsea - although they will need to divest their minority shareholding in Crystal Palace prior to completing a deal. and then a slew of more non Brits The Broughton-led group's other investors include: Canada's Rogers family (£10-15 billion net worth, BUT that is all split up, and there is a HUGE legal fight going on for control of Rogers Communications), which holds a big interest in the media and telecoms company Rogers Communications; American John Arnold (net worth £2.5 billion), who chaired the Houston 2026 FIFA World Cup bid committee (former ENRON executive, wtf!) Taiwan's Tsai family which owns the Taipei Fubon Braves and Fubon Guardians baseball teams (no idea what their combined net worth is, it is likely over £15 to £20 billion, so the wealthiest here, BUT who exactly is involved???, as the wealth is all split up) Colombian/American Alejandro Santo Domingo (around £2 billion net worth), an heir to one of the world's biggest brewing fortunes and an investor in several North American sports franchises, is also investing in the bid so NO this is NOT a 'best of Britain' bid, that is all bollocks from what I see, almost all the money is NON BRITISH and finally wtf are you fucking having a laugh?????????????????????????? 🤬
  2. My father wanted Candy to get in with the Centricus bid (Centricus’ co-founder Nizar Al-Bassam, CEO Garth Ritchie, Jonathan Lourie of Cheyne Capital, and Talis Capital’s Bob Finch) all 5 are lifetime Chels fans, season ticket holders, and combined are worth over £25 billion in net wealth, with more than double that in funds managed as well the bid would have been all cash, plus they wanted to do a complete ground up renovation of Bridge, like Roman was going to do (yes I know the logistics are hard)
  3. he strikes me as someone who truly wants the club to be dominant and he demands first class shit in all his endeavours he is a hardcore Chels fan I just got a good vibe from him, and liked how he ripped the spuds fanboi Goldstein dunno
  4. yes, for sure but I still am gobsmacked the Kuwaitis did not do a serious public sniff around mind blowing it was their big chance wtf good is it to have over half a trillion or so USD in wealth and not use it to play in the biggest sport on the planet (and one that all their Arabian peninsula neighbours are deep into, save for the fairly 'poor' Omanis, and the shitshow that is Yemen)
  5. Broughton should ditch the yanks Josh Harris and Dave Blitzer and bring in the 2 Brits, Michael Platt and Nick Candy (worth around 21 billion usd combined) Boehly screwed up Candy coming in by using lifetime spuds fan Jonathan Goldstein
  6. all this is why I desperately wanted one the truly giant (100 billion+ usd) players to just bigfoot everyone else none of these would give a fuck about dropping an extra billion or so on top to sort the Bridge Elon Musk Jeff Bezos Bernard Arnault (only non yank) Bill Gates Larry Page (Google) Sergey Brin (Google) Larry Ellison Steve Ballmer OR the only crazy rich royal family left who is not into football ownership (and they are MASSIVE, only 2nd to the Saudis in wealth, they are worth around £400 billion or so atm, above the Qataris and the UAE (no one else is close to those 4 unless you count the Vatican, lolol) and they have the 2nd cleanest (not great but hey it's the despotic ME) human rights record in the ME, after the not so rich Omanis) the Kuwaitis to buy us
  7. I finally figured out where the majority of the truly rich names actually linked with Chels came from (what sector) financials and fintech (not big tech, not retail, not energy, not media, not big pharma, not insurance, not medical, not real estate, not telecoms, mot metals and mining (like Roman), not auto, not logistics, not food and bev, not even diversified) Removing Warren Buffett (by far the top, but also almost 92, and has stated so many times he has zero interest in owning sports teams) and two who just exploded in last several years due to crypto exchanges (Changpeng Zhao of the shady (and HUGE, world largest) exchange Binance). and Sam Bankman-Fried, of the FTX crypto exchange (plus removing three other olds which means no Carl Icahn (86), Charles Schwab (85), and no Jim Simons (85). (only 4, counting Buffett, are over 80, are at 10 billion usd plus, and made the vast majority of their fortunes from finance and fintech, and only Buffett and Jim Simons are very high on the list, but how long is an 85, 87, 92 year old going to own us? how much longer term vision will they have as a sole or principal owner?) look at he top richest financial and fintech billionaires in order of wealth and this is global) almost all below had been linked to us (or would have been in the now dead Kellner's case) Stephen Schwarzman (Blackstone founder, and he is soon 76, but was mentioned, and he did move from NYC to London a few years back, that said, he is bad news, lots of dirty biz, and the next two mentioned may well soon pass him in wealth) Ken Griffin (Citadel hedge fund, he was the reason the Ricketts bid collapsed, he looked at the nunbers and said nope, I am out, so we dodged a huge bullet) Daniel Gilbert (Rocket/Quicken loans and some hedge funds, was part of the Ricketts bid) Guillaume Pousaz ( the young Swiss bloke I mentioned I so wished would join with Boehly and Wyss (also Swiss), the only one who made this list via fintech, not investing, so perhaps I should not even have listed him Ray Dalio (Bridgewater, the worlds largest hedge fund was mentioned a few times, another true pirate) Abigail Johnson (Fidelity investments, is the heir to Charles, her father, who founded it, saw an ESPN show a while back where she said she might be interested, but later said nope) Thomas Peterffy (was deffo mention as being interested, including in interview, he is 78 in September, Hungarian born yank) Steve Cohen (just bought the NY Mets in late 2020, was deffo talked about, a truly evil hedge funder, was fined almost 2 BILLION for illegal trading and fraud) below are 20 billion usd down to 10 billion usd . David Tepper (deffo was mentioned, owns NFL team Carolina Panthers) Renata Kellnerova (richest Czech, the widow of Petr Kellner, who died a year ago at 56 in a helicopter crash, and deffo would have been looking at us) Michael Platt (BlueCrest Capital, he is the highest in the UK for financiers) was linked multiple times, not sure how I feel on him, he is more than a little dodgy, BUT has an ego, so likely would have dumped a lot of cash into us, he has exploded in wealth lately) Jeff Yass (Susquehanna, another hedge fund pirate, Griffin was trying to get him in, got Gilbert instead) Chase Coleman, III. (Tiger Global who were partially backing the Nick Candy bid) Leon Black (Apollo Global founder where Josh Harris (the Coe/Broughton bid) works at, David Blitzer is with Schwartzman's (top of list) Blackstone) so you see almost all the remotely younger financial 'top of the food chain' sharks and pirates, (minus the 2 crypto exchange blokes, and I might add, NONE of the actually crypto non exchange people are remotely near 10 billion usd in net worth, it is only the exchange founders who are truly in the global ultra wealthy, £5 billion and up) were linked to us at one time, NO other areas of wealth had anything like that percentage of linkage at the top it really makes me feel like we were being looked as as an investment vehicle first, and a football club second I would have liked to see Guillaume Pousaz get involved (with Boehly and Wyss) perhaps Michael Platt, the lone Brit on the list (not that he is a 35, 40, 50 billion usd plus difference make level, but 16 billion usd is still nothing to sneeze at, and like I said he has that ego to be top) (he would have been good with Coe/Broughton) and I really think for sure Petr Kellner (who was friends with Roman) the Czech would have been in the mix has he not died in that crash a year ago

  9. Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's scathing Romelu Lukaku criticism proved spot on https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/Chelsea-arsenal-hasselbaink-romelu-lukaku-26760893 It was another forgettable night at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea who went down 4-2 to London rivals Arsenal, consequently suffering their third straight home defeat. Although the loss will most likely prove ineffectual in terms of where Chelsea finishes this season, it was still a bitter pill for Blues fans to swallow. Leading the inquiry immediately after the game was Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who was part of the Sky Sports punditry team. And he didn’t hold back in his criticism of not only Chelsea as a collective, but also key players within the side. One of those singled out by Hasselbaink was Romelu Lukaku who had little to no impact in what was his first Premier League start in over two months. The 28-year-old was of course signed for a mammoth £97.5million last summer and expected to take Chelsea to a new level following a scintillating two years with Inter Milan in which he bagged 64 goals in 95 appearances. But, so far, he’s managed just 12 goals across all competitions, with only seven of those strikes coming in either the Premier League or Champions League. Those issues have not all been down to Lukaku alone, and Thomas Tuchel has alluded on more than one occasion that Chelsea must try to do more to "understand him better" as a player. Yet Lukaku isn’t blameless either, and the sympathy from Chelsea fans is starting to waver as his work ethic and commitment both continue to come into question. “For Chelsea today it was a really bad performance. Certain players are getting an opportunity, Lukaku, (Malang) Sarr and (Andreas) Christensen,” said Hasselbaink. “He (Lukaku) doesn't do enough. If you want to be the man you've got to run around. You need to try and show that you're bothered. You need to want to suffer. He doesn't run around”. The former Chelsea striker then went on to question the 28-year-old’s desire. “Lukaku, you've not had the best games show that you are the man and really want it. Go and show that desire I didn't see it. That desire, I didn't see it.” These accusations carry some merit, particularly when it comes to Lukaku’s work rate without the ball. Strikingly, from the 127 Premier League forwards who have played over 600 league minutes this season, Lukaku ranks third-bottom in terms of the number of defensive pressures he’s made on a per 90 basis (8.54). There could be a case made that the Belgian plays for a side that dominate the ball, and as a result, he’s bestowed fewer pressing opportunities. However, within that same list of 127 players, Diogo Jota ranks inside the top ten, while Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino ranks 14th - and Liverpool boasts a higher possession average than Chelsea this season. You also have Chelsea players like Christian Pulisic sitting as high as 24th. Lukaku’s primary job is to score goals, and it’s fair to say that there are some factors influencing his ability to do so, like the structure of the team which does not play to his strengths. Yet desire and commitment are two areas that he can control, and right now both are missing.
  10. Chelsea’s Chilwell will not return before end of season, Kovacic out with ligament injury https://theathletic.com/news/chelseas-chilwell-will-not-return-before-end-of-season-kovacic-out-with-ligament-injury/AQhLdQU0xy0I/ Chelsea wing-back Ben Chilwell won’t play again this season — but there is hope that he will return to first-team training before the end of the campaign. Midfielder Mateo Kovacic has also sustained ligament damage, which head coach Thomas Tuchel hopes will only keep him out for two weeks. Chilwell has been out since November with an ACL injury and ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League game against Arsenal, Tuchel gave an update on the Englishman’s recovery. “Ben will be able to join in team training with the youth, this will be his next step in the weeks (to come),” Tuchel said on Tuesday. “Hopefully, he can join our training at the end of the season.” Kovacic, meanwhile, had to be substituted off during the first half of Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup semi-final victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday. Tuchel confirmed the Croatia international, along with Callum Hudson-Odoi, will not feature against Arsenal, saying: “Kova is out of the game, ligament injury. Hopefully, not longer than two weeks. “Callum out of the game. With Callum, it’s day by day but not possible to join team training.” Tuchel added that there were “some players in doubt who we need to examine”, ahead of the clash with sixth-placed Arsenal on Wednesday night. Chelsea sit third in the Premier League, five points ahead of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with two games in hand. Will Chilwell’s continued absence be a problem for Chelsea? LIAM TWOMEY, Chelsea CORRESPONDENT: Chilwell’s absence has been a problem for Chelsea ever since his ACL gave way against Juventus in November. Marcos Alonso has at times performed at a high level at left wing-back in Tuchel’s system — most notably in the remarkable near-comeback against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu — but he lacks Chilwell’s consistency, as well as his speed and dynamism. It is no coincidence that the injury precipitated a significant drop-off in Chelsea’s attacking fluidity in the final months of 2021, leading to the run of dropped points that derailed their Premier League title challenge. Not having him between now and May is very unlikely to prevent Tuchel from delivering a top-four finish in the Premier League, but Chelsea may well miss Chilwell in the FA Cup final against Liverpool.
  11. Thiago can deffo be physical, as can an in-form Trevoh
  12. scenes, and if we then lose to fucking Manure, panic will start
  13. there is one, BUT he is now 5 years too old to buy (turned 33yo 4 days ago) Dani Parejo
  14. it is so predictable (not that I have any special powers) the the EXACT things I warned on on personnel-wise have consistently come back to bite us in the ass all season LB (Theo, would we should have bought 2, 3 seasons back, let alone last summer, and then the horrific bad luck of a deal we had basically wrapped up (Marina was pretty much the first non Italian public figure to wish him well after he was injured), Leonardo Spinazzola, who would have been a terror as well, blowing up when he utterly destroyed his Achilles in the Euros) or bought Borna Sosa or Nuno Mendes- This summer, Aaron Hickey has to be i the mix as well. RB (missing Hakimi was a nightmare, and we should have went for him 2, 3 seasons back OR we just should have offered Livramento whatever he wanted to stay or even better, bought Matty Cash, who is my number one target this summer for RB, as we do not have a buyback that kicks in yet for Livra) DMF (Tchouameni, who now will cost £35-40m MORE or so, Rce at £85-85m was bonkers, now Ham wants £100-110m, which is just madness) one WC Winger needed (and some deadwood tossed) Luis Diaz was out there (not that I super pushed him as I am so paranoid about Liga NOS to EPL transfers, they either are insanely good (rare, like Ruben Dias and Penendes) or far more often huge busts) BUT that is what the fucking scouting department is for, if Pool could see t why the fuck did we miss it? We miss a trick on another Pool star too, Jota. Ousame Demebele was there for only around £20-25m, and Raphinha could have been prised away for £40m or so CF the disastrous Lukaku buy when Dusan Vlahovic or Victor Osimhen (yes, it would have taken a shedload for Osi, but still £20m less or so in trans fee, plus a massively lower salary than Rom) were out there
  15. shameful and it is on Tuchel to a large degree I normally do not slate him but this line-up was HORRID capitulation horrid
  16. a pretty bad game? he was utterly fucking shambolic a joke he is starting for the World Champions in a massive EPL game a joke he would start for any EPL team and Lukaku, RLC, and AC can fuck off as well Azpi is no longer capable of playing CB unless he has Thiago AND Rudiger aiding him
  17. the ONLY good thing about this is that it increases Arse's chances of making top 4 over Spuds and Manure
  18. fuck Sarr I am raging he simply cannot EVER play again for us would rather an 18-19yo academy lad
  19. this game gave me a fucking headache from hell 😟
  20. one of our worst passing games of the season
