  1. LWB for sure would rather buy David Raum or Borna Sosa
  2. Because Pep saw him as a hybrid CB/LB, as LB has been a nightmare for Citeh until they got Cancelo, who is a bit like a poor man's Maldini (a right footer who is superb as a LB, although Maldini was far more ambipedal than Cancelo, and a far better player overall, the best combo defensive back (as he also was a top 10 all-time CB) in football history, and for me the 2nd best defensive back ever, after Franz Beckenbauer, and that call is a close run thing)
  3. the more Manure sticks with slabhead, praises slabhead, nurtures and coddles slabhead, the happier I am
  4. that is only (gross) around (at current FOREX) £198.8K PW and a £1.29m signing bonus, no agent add-ons a MASSIVE pay-cut for him
  5. 39 days until the EPL season kicks off
  6. Raheem Sterling: Chelsea approach Manchester City over possible signing https://theathletic.com/news/raheem-sterling-Chelsea-manchester-city-transfer/jDdXjQpQFD4p/ Chelsea have approached Manchester City over the possible signing of England winger Raheem Sterling, The Athletic understands. The Athletic reported in June that Chelsea were growing in confidence that they could complete a deal for a player available for a cut-price fee this summer because he only has one year left to run on his contract. Sterling is thought to have spoken to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel about what life is like at the club, and one source believes the only stumbling block to a deal being completed is the size of the fee. It is understood that both parties are willing to finalise a deal and while no bid has been made yet, it is expected imminently. Personal terms are still to be agreed. In Sterling’s seven years at City, he has scored 131 goals in 339 appearances for the reigning Premier League champions. He joined City from Liverpool for an initial £44 million in July 2015 and has gone on to win four Premier League titles, one FA Cup and three League Cups. Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez's arrivals, plus the form of the likes of Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez, has meant there will be fierce competition for places in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI next season. City’s first game of the 2022-23 season will be against West Ham United at the London Stadium on August 7.
  7. Inter, Chelsea back in pressure on Skriniar https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/skriniar-Chelsea-calciomercato-news Milan Skriniar is one of the most popular defenders on the European market. Paris Saint-Germain has been working for Inter for some time, trying to convince the Nerazzurri to give up. Now, however, there is competition. In fact, on the defender there is Chelsea: the English have expressed interest in the Slovak. The Blues had already asked for information on Skriniar during the negotiations for the Lukaku deal, now there is the will to deepen the discussion.
  8. their fans will lose their minds if they sell him, he is a born and bred Scouser local (Kirkdale)
  9. Only reason to buy Richarlison is for CF these are pretty much all the remotely viable (talent and/or near term potential-wise) CF's on the board (one is not available until next summer) who would come here and are actually available (so no Kane, no Lewa, no Lautaro) some are more SS than CF (I will label those) CF CF/SS/Winger CF CF CF CF CF 43 league goals last season CF/Winger non pure or non mostly CF's: SS/AMF/CF €60m (£51.6m) release clause, BUT not until next summer SS/CF CF/Winger/SS SS/CF
  10. Oki, weighing in on this '2 out of 3' trio (Dembele, Sterling, Raphinha) for the first time As long as we can make the money work I would much prefer Sterling and Raphinha as it looks like Dembele is STILL a game playing drama queen I do like this idea of his creativity and his historic Tuchel links BUT, I cannot take another drama queen
  11. oh ffs absolute bullshit shit stir by the Daily Hail and PURE hypocrisy as these same fans whinged on about Lukaku, who was brought in (and was wanted to remain here) in by the people leaving!!!
  12. coming from you that's a compliment m8

  15. lol, now we are linked with CR7 smdh https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/Chelsea-news-cristiano-ronaldo-boehly-27328572
  16. only the 2 ones in bold have I seen solid, for months, (and still current and consistent), links Kimpembe is kind of there, but not as much as the two in bold maybe Richarlison a bit too (I know many here on the board do not like him at all, I am sorta neutral, he has never been a high priority for me, and I never lust hum as a final CF option really) the rest have come and gone mostly
  17. I am not changing my long held opinion it's where I personally draw the line people can either accept that it is the way I feel or not I have been pretty damn consistent on this since I joined this board 4 and half years ago it is not like it is something new for me
