  1. Even if no Barca (and Barca will buy him now that they got a 267m euro injection of liquidity), Raphinha doesn't want to come here Raphinha 'prefers to stay at Leeds' over joining Chelsea as transfer saga rumbles on RAPHINHA is not keen on joining Chelsea this summer https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1634596/Chelsea-Leeds-United-Raphinha-transfer-saga-news-update-latest-SNT Chelsea's hopes of signing Raphinha from Leeds United appear to be over, after a new report revealed that the Brazilian winger would 'rather stay put' than join the Blues. Arsenal and Barcelona are also interested in striking a deal for the 25-year-old, who is expected to leave Leeds this summer.
  2. They are not skint anymore. 😧 https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/barcelona-agreement-dejong-raphinha-transfers-27369125 Barcelona have secured a huge windfall having agreed to sell a significant chunk of their television rights - giving them a timely financial boost for the summer transfer window. The Catalan giants recently confirmed their decision to generate income by selling their broadcasting rights - the club’s members voting through the sale. It has not taken long for an agreement to be reached with the Spanish giants announcing that 10% of their LaLiga TV rights have been sold to global investment firm Sixth Street. They are set to invest €207.5m (£178.1m) over the 2022/23 season, with Barcelona receiving a ‘total capital gain' of €267m (£229m).
  3. IF we had them in a back two starting next summer, we would probably have the best CB combo on the planet.
  4. there are 6 CB's left that are 100% acceptable the 3 premium buys Matthijs de Ligt Milan Škriniar Joško Gvardiol (next summer only, when his new release clause is 50m euros, £43m) the 3 less costly Kalidou Koulibaly Bremer Merih Demiral
  5. lol he played over 5000 minutes (close to 5200) for club and country last season at the age of 37 around 1200 of those in a back two for Brasil he is a machine, like Maldini was he is the best CB to ever play in the EPL IMHO (I mean his overall career, we obviously got him at the tail end) the only ones close or, maybe better are Terry and Rio, and they are the two best EPL CB's I think he wins the WC in December (Brasil, who I do not like, are my early favourites)
  6. we made a SHEDLOAD of cash on Eden (and sold at the perfect time, one of the few brilliant Marina deals) and it only came after he played here for a longish time (we got 7 of his 8 peak years (the only one we missed out on was his last year at Lille, and that season was why we bought him), and he immediately collapsed after he left, and he was pretty shit in that nightmare 10th place season, 2015/16. the whole team was wretched) as for Snake, that was a Marina disasterclass deal (and the rest of the board) as we STUPIDLY loaned him for far too long to AM, which allowed him to put down Madrid roots, PLUS we should have sold him the year before, as it was 1000% crystal clear he was never going to renew, so we lost out on at least (conservatively) £50m in fees, AND we then panic bought KEPA (for insane money, salary, and length of contract) as we put all our eggs into the Oblak basket, and he turned us down after we met his release clause and he then said nope, not interested
  7. According to data collected by 'Football Leaks' and published in German outlet 'Der Spiegel', Barcelona's new record signing Ousmane Dembele will earn a yearly salary of at least 12 million euros (£10.4m). The German publication said that the information appears in Barcelona's internal list and that, if bonuses are included, the 20-year-old's annual salary could add up to 20 million euros (£17.3m). https://www.besoccer.com/new/dembele-s-barcelona-salary-revealed The French winger made the switch from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona in a deal worth 105 million euros (£91m), but that could eventually reach 147 million (£127m) if the add-ons are triggered. Magazine 'Sport Bild' assured that almost 30 million euros (£26m) of those bonus payments are perfectly attainable, and that the Bundesliga outfit will receive said fee if Barcelona qualify for the Champions League once in the next five years and Dembele makes 50 official appearances for the Catalan side. Barcelona also made a 9-million-euro (£7.75m) payment to Dembele's agent for the transfer, as reported by 'Der Spiegel', and according to information supplied by 'Football Leaks'. note: my euros to pounds conversions (in italics) are based off current FOREX rates
  8. Barca have far more meh to shit than great players Good to Great (Meaning I would have them here) Marc-André ter Stegen Ronald Araújo Pedri 💙 Frenkie de Jong Gavi 💙💙 Nico González Ansu Fati (ONLY if 100% per recovered from his 4 knee surgeries) Ferran Torres Ousmane Dembélé meh to shit Neto Arnau Tenas Eric García Clément Lenglet Óscar Mingueza Gerard Piqué Samuel Umtiti Jordi Alba Álex Balde Sergiño Dest Moussa Wagué Dani Alves Sergio Busquets Riqui Puig Sergi Roberto Ez Abde Adama Traoré Memphis Depay Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Martin Braithwaite Luuk de Jong Francisco Trincão Miralem Pjanic
  9. IF they have the cash and are willing to spend it, there are two teams on the planet who will scupper our wants and wishes most every time they are bigger clubs than us, they are the 2 biggest clubs on the planet Real Madrid Barca we will always be the small horse against both of them I have never not accepted that fact it's just the way it is
  10. that is true and that is why I am not at all convinced this deal is done yet
  11. Joelinton turned into an absolutely monster beast box to box MF, it is crazy
  12. wrong side for the CBs and the wingers, they would be flipped
  13. that is why I asked if the £6m was net or gross
  14. net or gross? £6m per year gross only nets £3m or so, £58K PW
  15. been saying this all along (although I do rate de Ligt too) Škriniar + Koulibaly would be two BEAST signings
  16. and Lisandro Martínez 1.75m 🤬
  17. yes, Cucurella, I misunderstood what you meant
  18. yes because Walker at RB is ageing (turns 33yo right at this coming season's end, he is still fast AF, but he is coming into the injury prone years), and Cancelo will go back to RB. Walker only played 2,648 minutes all comps, in a season where Citeh played 58 games, 5,220 minutes, so Walker missed basically half the minutes
  19. In 35 EPL games (he didn't join them until the 4th game due to the late transfer) he played the full 90 minutes every game except for the first game (82 minutes) and two others where he took a knock and came off after 64 minutes and 66 minutes after the 12th game, he played every minute of every EPL game that is not rotational, that is iron man level, like prime Azpi level
