"The rigours and challenges of always been injured in the premier league"

Most on the list are big clubs🤔 just because they aren't from England's top 6 doesn't make them any smaller.

I hate that fella lol

What did southfraud say about him?

I'm in 2 minds ATM about the appointment, if there intention is to wait a few season and build a proper team from youth then I can completely get onboard with this, but just say it, don't act Asif we are going for top 4 and trophies all the time because it's probably out of our reach ATM, but I agree poch signing was strange then to go after a season and give enzo 3 more years on a contact than poch, really makes me feel poch was always a stop gap.
-
But it does beg the question, when we got linked to McKenna he managed Ipswich... Omari ent out in loan to Ipswich, what makes a player at Ipswich anymore Chelsea ready than the manager that got them back to back promotions?
-
Top 3 maybe, but when you have already bought 3 of them, you can't just keep buying keepers until one works out 😂
-
That's crazy, imagine the money spent on players for managers for the sake of a year, mind bogglingly really.
-
Maybe petro gets the nod ahead of Sanchez, he's not even seen them train yet, could just be typical twitter crap.
-
Not sure we are pretending, I just think ATM money is better spent elsewhere.
-
We have petro kepa and Sanchez , 2 that are new, can't just keep buying keepers every season, Maybe, but 26 27 is prime years if he's going to turn it on, it's now
-
If you play this type of football out from the back it's needed, but you also need a good shop stopper as well, Sanchez is half decent shot stopper so hopefully he can improve on his ball playing abilities
-
All depends on what the new coach does with these players, cuca was dead and buried then poch managed to get him looking like a Chelsea player, so who knows
-
Well let's see what he can do with these keepers, surely he sees something in them if this is true, so let's wait and see.
-
And look where he is at now
-
Mourinho shouldn't be anywhere near the debate, hasn't changed with the times at all.
-
It's not about been easy to sell.... What ever we get for maatsen is 100% pure profit

To excel doesn't require as much skill as you would think, what it acquires is repetition over and over and over again until it's muscle memory almost, I do alot of racing and it's a similar concept, over and over and over again until you do stuff without thinking about it, now where I do agree is the higher calibre of player obviously the higher you can take this but all great teams do the basic and they do them amazingly well, this season we barely did the basics right, once you have the basics (foundations) you then build accordingly. I can see why you think these players would suit a direct style, but this guy managed to get Leicester to do this consistently with far lass superior players to do this, some say he had the best team in the lead and nearly bottled a 17 point lead, but he didn't find that 17 point lead he earned it and in the end he changed stuff about and got back to form. Do I think he's the best choice no, do I think he's earned his shot no, but I am kinda excited to see what a manager with a real philosophy and a proper type of style of play can do. Also just to add, people were asking for TT to come back yet he's just been absolutely schooled in a given league for BM by a young up and coming manager when TT probably had the best team in the league

Looking at this team we have I don't see it being too difficult, we ain't asking for 11 KDB, the coach will drill these patterns of play into them, the only player I could see struggling with this is mudryk. You also don't need specific characteristics for this style of play in every position, you need hard work and to believe in the system, the whole point is to knock the ball around relatively quickly to move the opposition team to create gaps, these gaps don't require a KDB to pass into, don't get me wrong it helps but isn't a must.

How many have been coached to do so? Poch wasn't anywhere close to possession play, they just had no idea what to do imo huge difference
-
Players take different lengths of time to mature or come into there own, Palmer for example did ok at man city then came here and blew us away this season, circumstances can turn a players career just like that. And another thing is what your comparing world class too? Modric? Kante? Rodri? Bellingham? How far back do we go to compare other players to? I am genuinely interested in that question because imo the level of player has dropped significantly over the years, to be a good football these days you need to be an athlete first and foremost, most of the skill has completely left the game imo
-
People say you cant compare him to pep which is fair, but you also can't compare him to potter either, potter 2.0 is abit harsh to say he's not even signed yet, is he a risk yes! Every managerial appointment is and we have sacked even (world class) coach we have ever had, our players need direction and a proper coach and we have now someone with a clear footballing identity let's just hope it pays off! I'm also not sure this is true, twitter is 99% BS and 1% truth it's a complete click bait game so they will say everything and anything for clicks, don't let stuff like that cloud your vision, if clearlake wanted De zerbi we would have him, the constant shit we have heard about them going into dressing rooms, wanting to be involved in on the pitch tactics and blah blah blah, if this is true (highly doubt) then do you really think if they wanted some one they wouldn't hire him regardless? Or is this forum now at the stage where they think the owners overthrow the manager at half time but not the sporting directors on a manager they apparently want? Come on now

Championship doesn't get the credit it deserves tbh, it's a bloody hard league and most weeks more enjoyable to watch than the prem
