I'm thinking maybe Oscar's only good to play from the bench, Mikel starts & Cesc plays #10, Cesc because it's ridiculous to play RLC in that role so early in his career when he grew up playing either B2B or #10. He'd be pretty much setting him up to fail.

RLC is no DM & it's the hardest midfield position to play. He doesn't have the expansive distribution, stamina, defensive nous, positioning or intelligence to play that role yet.

I'm not even Jose's biggest fan but the abuse he's getting from even his biggest backers is alarming. I'm more annoyed by his team selection & transfer record than anything, can't believe fans want him out 5 games into the season after winning the double this past year. If he's sacked we aren't going to get a better manager unless Pep makes himself available. The League is long gone but if he starts picking the correct players we can still finish in the Top 4 & compete in the cups.

It's not just about breaking up play. Cesc covers an incredibly high amount of ground as well. It's his positioning that's woeful, he constantly drifts to wide areas for some bizzare reason & teams kill us in between the lines. Look at the space Naismith had for the opener the last game. That goal doesn't happen if we had Maka, Carrick, Busquets or Motta there.

Except the ones defending Oscar have been doing so long before he was injured but yeah continue with your paranoia while you've both remained consistent with your slagging off. Neither Villa nor Eto'o had a season as good as Drogba in 09/10 when he finally played under a proper attack minded manager. Drogba's the best big game player of his generation, show some respect. Drogba had technical ability & intelligence in abundance which is why he regularly topped the assist charts during his spell here.

Bullshit. Drogba's goal record was low simply because he played under a defensive manager that was content with 2 nil & he continuously fell out with multiple managers. He was more talented than both Eto'o & Villa. Not even debatable which is why his peak was higher.
