  1. Agree. I've been hoping to see Kalou in a central role for a while now as i feel he's the most effective there. But if Anelka's in a poaching mood, he should play in the central role. If not, Ancelotti should switch them.
  2. No Lamps . Let's hope Zhirkov continues his great form. Really hope Ess will make it. We'll really need him to take out Gerrard. The midfield battles are always the most important in these difficult matches. We lost those battles against Arsenal (even though we ended up winning, we won because of individual class and their poor finishing that day) and City . It's time we win one for once and with Liverpool's average midfielders (except for Gerrard of course) i would be very surprised and dissapointed (and angry) if we lost the midfield battle against them. Surprised to hear Malouda will make it but happy of course.
  3. Chelsea fans are seriously overrating the quality of Delac. He's not even the first goalkeeper at Vitesse (the club he's been loaned out to) so he still has looong way to go. He's not Chelsea second choice goalkeeper material (yet).
  4. Craziest derby in the world I'm supporting Lazio for this one, so i guess we're enemies .
  5. Hmm best striker last decade... tough call. () Wait a minute no it isn't. It's not a tough call at all, it's actually very easy. His name is Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima, simply known in the football world as Ronaldo (also referred to as The Real Ronaldo). Simply the best striker ever. Shame on you people !
  6. Absolutely right, he never was a striker (Totti too). He's what you call a supporting striker/second striker, they play closely behind the striker. Raúl González Blanco was the same type. Trezeguet was always the main striker. And Totti was always better than Del Piero and still is . But Raúl and Bergkamp were the best supporting strikers ever.
  7. Yup, that's the way i see it to. Josh as the playmaker and Kakuta as the attacking midfielder. (Possible future midfield) Mikel McEachran Kakuta
  8. Malouda and Kakuta have similair pace and Kakuta is more explosive (quicker over short distance) so i don't think pace will be his problem. In 2, 3 years Kakuta could also take Lampard's place in midfield and play in a similair role to Lampard's in his younger years (attacking midfielder, Kakuta's natural role).

  10. I have a feeling you're right. But it would very unfair to drop Yuri, since he's been in great form and finally gaining confidence.
  11. If that's true, Zhirkov is more than able to do the same to Johnson, who's known for being vulnerable at the back.
  12. Malouda's out for the L'pool game and Yuri should take his place. He could (should) absolutely rape Carragher!
  13. Like i said in the Chelsea - Spartak thread, Ancelotti has a tough decision to make. This season Ivanovic started slowly but has really hit topform last month. 2010 has really been Alex' year. He's been a rock and it's hard to drop him since he hasn't done a thing wrong. But since we're facing a fast striker, i would go for Ivanovic since he's the fastest of the two.
  14. Let's hope he'll (Anelka) also show his (goal scoring) qualities in the final rounds.
  15. Too bad we ended up conceding, although it wasn't deserved. 12 points. Even though 5 goals were scored, game wasn't anything special. And we played a very poor first half. Individual qualities brought us this victory. We really need to improve our play! Let's hope Frank's fit for Liverpool. Tough choice for Ancelotti. Ivanovic or Alex next to Terry? Or maybe José's still ill and won't make the game.
  16. No offense to Paulo but it should've gone to Petr
