  1. http://www.skysports...7035493,00.html Media games right?
  2. Good to see Kalou continues doing what he does best . Yossinho :getyou:.
  3. True. I'd loan him out one more season, where he'll actually be starter, and let him fight for a starter spot, at least 1st choice back-up, when he gets back (don't think we'll get Pastore btw and hope we don't).
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUWDJTHJkq8 He was soooooo good... (His nickname should've been Iron Man)
  5. Yeah he has good control and he's pretty explosive (but after that he's not fastest from what I've seen, players like Malouda and Kalou have more pace over long distances). But he doesn't think like a winger, well that's the impression I got from his performances on the wing. He'd much rather pass, through ball or link-up play, than dribble/run (and cross). AM is definitely his natural position so he would have to be converted into a winger but if it was up to me, I'd just play him in his natural role.
  6. Think that's a lion mask LDN . Imagine if it was Fabregas under that mask , that would be some twist to the longest transfer saga ever (I think). Good signing. Wish he stayed at Udinese but I can understand the move.
  7. Gutted. This season would be his chance to get back to what he was but I highly doubt he'll make a come-back after this.. We just have to get at least two new midfielders now.
  8. Sad huh.. I still believe in him, though not as a winger.
  9. Because most don't actually watch him.. He's not the new Inzaghi or Hernandez-like. Yeah inside the box maybe but Falcao is more complete. Great target-man, if he had height he would be the 'perfect' target-man.
  10. De Rossi is not the same player he was in 2009. A bit of a Essien-case, still living off his past reputation, but minus the injuries.
  11. Argentina and Brazil have been terrible so far. And Neymar's keeps proving me right, 45 mil.. get out of here. @Sh0n3x Hulk over Pato? Shame on you.
  12. Don't know what happened.. delete please.
  13. Who in their right mind would vote for Walcott? Good player, not Chelsea starting material yet though. And very tiny, wonder if he has the intelligence for that not to be a problem/weakness..
  14. Left but his natural position is AM (doesn't have the pace to make it as a winger at top level I think, unless he's the new Figo). Don't know if this has been posted before: Intentional, Brilliant. But I'm confused, does it look like he's joining us or not?
  15. My guess for their reason why, anything to get him to score many, many goals..
  16. Everybody who plays AM and has at least a decent pass in him gets labled 'playmaker'. But I'm talking about a real playmaker, Xavi, Riquelme, Fabregas, Rui Costa, Zidane etc. Pastore is not that type of player (now).
  17. Clichy's departure is a blessing in disguise though. He's average yet it seemed like Wenger wanted to keep him for a long time. Nasri potentially leaving though..
  18. This is not a case of wrong or right. In the games before the tournament, Batista gaves several players a chance to make the starting line-up. If Pastore was performed (really) well in the games he played, he would've been a starter. Barcelona play with Iniesta don't they? He's an AM too. Banega did better and he and Messi clicked well so the coach kept him in the starting line-up in the following games before the Copa America. Maybe after the game vs Bolivia he'll make changes and play Pastore, who knows. The number 10 playmaker position is just something on paper in the current team, Argentina's problem is that they don't have a real playmaker (one who's of great quality of course). They just pass it to the forwards and let them do all the work, hardly any support up front from midfield. I said this before, if Riquelme was his old self/available for the NT he would definitely be playing.
  19. Mehh.. if Riquelme was in the squad (or better said, his old self), he would without a doubt be a starter. Pastore's problem is more the fact that he's more the dribbling and final ball player type rather than a real playmaker, which is what they really need
  20. Hahahahaha. I watch as many Argentina games as I can, I can see it all for my self. And I also know Argentinian people, or others like me who like/love the Argentinian NT, from a different forum who keep me informed on things. EDIT: Btw, I never said he's not playing because of tactical reasons. I said he didn't do well.
  21. Yeah Banega's a good player but a bit inconsistent. He's a true CM, the playmaker type. The great thing about him is that he can also dribble past a few players to get out or a crowded area or when under pressure. Anyway, we're off-topic..
  22. This isn't about how good of a coach Batista's is though. Henrique assumed the reason for Pastore not playing was because of the coach, which is not true. Pastore got his chance but didn't perform. Banega did a lot better and that's why he's playing.
  23. That's not the reason he isn't playing. He's started some games but didn't perform well. 50 mil for Pastore is ridiculous as he's all potential now.
