I know we've signed Diego Costa and that goes a long way in addressing the striker problems we've had ever since Drogba left, but is it going to be good enough? Jose says we're done for the summer, but he's lied before and he may be lying now. I, for one, don't think we can rely on Torres-Lukaku-Costa as our only strikers going into next season. Torres is a liability while Lukaku and Costa are risks. If we have an injury to Costa, for example, we'll be in a much worse position than last season! I'm not sure if we're going to see more of Schurrle and maybe Fabregas in a false 9 role, but I do believe if we're going to line up with the same formation of having an all-out striker up front, we definitely need one more. And that too of the caliber of starting games in the Prem! If you look at City's strikeforce, for example, they have Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo and Jovetic - four top quality strikers. It's that versatility that and options which got them the Prem last year. What do you guys think? Are we overestimating Costa's ability to make all our striker problems go away? Or do we need one more top quality striker?

Brown too by the looks of it, that second goal was unstoppable!
-
Yepp. Seems like he's starting off from where he left off last season, which is good for us. Salah made some good runs too. I feel Salah has a lot more to offer than we've seen, hope we get it out of him and not let him rot on the bench. Needs to prove his worth though!

He was okay. Played more than a half, nothing too spectacular but seems decent.
-
Ake in the first half and Boga in the second were both also pretty good. Hope to see them all again against Wimbledon!
-
Brilliant second half performance from the boys. I thought Brown was fantastic, deserved two goals. Neat little finish by Bamford for the first. Seems like the perfect scoreline to begin free season with! :blue scalf:

Juve seemed to have made it clear the Vidal is not for sale. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28334166 Glad. Though no similar statement about Pogba (I think).

I don't like how the main item, the picture showing an article at the top, is just that. It should have been a scroll so I could see various latest news pieces from the top instead of having to go to the bottom of the website. Not that user-friendly but it's okay.

6M is too cheap for a player who's been starting for us and playing a vital part throughout. Would suit the Serie A well too.
-
What a waste of talent Marko Marin turned out to be. I remember being excited about him before he even signed for Chelsea, doesn't even make the provisional squad here. Any idea who probably starts up front? Not that educated about our young ones.
-
I would rather have a 36 year old Drogba rather than Torres or Ba as a third option to Costa and Lukaku.
-
I can't see us giving out many starts to a 19 year old. So not really sure why he'd be interested in joining Chelsea if it's starts he's looking for. As talented as he may be, trust us to loan him out and then sell him off.

Chelsea on alert over potential Yaya Toure deal. http://www.givemesport.com/483403-chelsea-on-alert-over-potential-yaya-toure-deal He has apparently said that he won't be going back to Manchester City. Seems to be a bit of a prick but wouldn't mind having him for a couple of seasons if the price is right. Just imagine a Matic-Fabregas-YayaToure midfield!

Monaco asking for 90M for this guy. Outrageous. http://www.givemesport.com/481991-james-rodriguez-will-cost-90m-says-monaco-owner

A pretty useless performance from Lukaku. Having not seen alot of him when he was at Everton, he hasn't done much to impress me today!

I believe the images would no longer turn up in the Google image searches then, which is where these people probably find their images on other websites. Hopefully, it'll help. -
You can just see the faces of scared Manchester City/United fans right. No excuses this year boys! We've got a class team, specially if Costa deal gets done too.
-
TalkSport is now reporting it as a "done deal". Apparently, they have it from sources "close to Fabregas". Not sure how much of this is to believed, but here's the link: http://talksport.com/football/done-deal-fabregas-agrees-chelsea-move-14060594543

Outrageous if Torres ends up playing next season with a pay-raise.
-
Uh-Oh Manchester United have moved ahead of Chelsea as they attempt to sign Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, 27, because they will not be in next season's Champions League and are not viewed as direct rivals by the La Liga club. Daily Express

Wow! It's finally official. Promised myself I wouldn't get excited until it did, finally have a proper striker up front! Bring on next season!
-
The first football shirt I bought as a 10 year old, the first goal i kept replaying, the first sports poster in my room. Super Frank Lampard. Never will we have a servant like him again. Only midfielder to score 10 goals a season for 10 seasons in a row, true class. Can't believe he's finally leaving! Thank You Lamps.

Heard Jose's gone on and had a dig and Jamie Redknapp right after the game today? Anyone know what he said?
-
Why are we planning to make a starting eleven full of attacking midfielders and no strikers?
-
I'm in! Can't wait to get this started. Never really updated my team last season. But in a couple of other leagues as well, so probably will have enough incentive to bother updating it all year.
