Essien's too slow now to do the job, saving him for the tricky Champions League nights i guess. Playing him against teams like Reading and Wigan in the Premier League day in day out will have an affect on the urgency we're trying to create. Not saying Mikel's any faster though.

Loving the flair we have, especially because of Hazard. Its all a bit faster in the final third now, Mata and Sturridge seem to be enjoying themselves a bit more too. We need a proper striker out there who can finish, Torres got a goal ( a tap-in from an offside position ), but in all honesty he missed a few chances that could've settled it earlier. Not having another big-name striker in our squad will really bite us in the backside as the season goes on. Cech made a pretty bad howler, but better to get it out of the system early and glad it didn't really matter in the end. All in all, a tough game, Reading probably didn't deserve to concede four goals, but great comeback from Chels!

Great first half, We could have gone on and perhaps exerted a bit more to get a second, Right now it isn't beyond Liverpool, even though they've been pathetic mostly. Drogba hasn't impressed me much to be honest, seemed lazy, hope we dont have to see him like that in Munich. Perhaps think about bringing Torres on a bit later? But taking Drogba off at Wembley in a cup final always seems risky!

Looking forward to seeing him play for Chels, been waiting a long time for this move to happen. Glad it finally has. He's young, yet i've seen him do stuff that would make a striker at his peak proud. He's got a long way to go. A concern however is that he's already so physically mature, not sure how much more he's likely to develop more (Strength etc, Experience of-course will come).

United's addition do look really threatening this season, We'll need someone new possibly to tick next season if we need an edge over him. Nasri can be exactly that, not sure about likelyness of him coming over at all though. Been out of touch with all this for ages.
