Kante runs around up and down, having little to no influence defensively and offensively people act like he is having a great game. On the other hand people expect Jorginho to cover the back four, build up, distribute, and create. I think though Kante and Jorginho should switch position, think Jorginho role is very demanding. Play him more like a 8 and give him more freedom.

What have you done to motivate your players? For a start bench them if they underperform and don't show the right mentality, regardless how some players perform their place is guaranteed.
-
He has scored one goal, the same amount Emerson has while playing a lot less minutes and spending a lot less time attempting to poach in the box. He is terrible in both ends. I have seen enough of Emerson to know he has some abilities to resemble a worthwhile player on the pitch, and some concern. At this point he should get an opportunity by default, because exhebit A is terrible proven time after time. If there is a time to try something for the sake something we are reaching that point. there has to be something behind the pitch, maybe Emerson doesn’t show the right attitude in training and comes in late or whatever.

Really think Alonso would be struggling for playing time in a mid table La Liga team. That is more like his level.
-
I have given up honestly on that, the day Alonso is benched for a game 1-2 in a row would be most shocking. He literally has his best player out of position, so he can protect Alonso more defensively.
-
Sarri should bench him for at least a few games, it would be beneficial for all parties involved. It would definitely benefit Alonso especially, maybe a few games on the bench can help him rediscover some form and see things that he wouldn’t on the pitch. Keep playing him 90m games after game at this point is insanity, no one is benefiting.
-
down 2 goals, take 1 attacker off and put one on. Why not take Alonso off? You are down 2 goals with 10m left ffs.
-
Pep benches Kyle Walker for 3 games due iffy performances, and he is much better player than Willian and Alonso ever will be. While Sarri wouldn't touch Willian and Alonso after shit performances after another.
-
Not sure why you guys bitching about him, what are Kante and Kovacic doing that bares them from criticism and scapegoating Jorginho?
-
The issue is struggling players like Willian is playing ahead of him games in and games out. That is why he is every right to be upset and demand more playing time, knowing you are superior to the player ahead of you and deserve more playing time only leads to contempt and discouragement at the club.

32 minutes of Highlights from his sole season under Sarri.
-
tbf this is his breakout year, doesn't have the track record for big clubs to pursue him. He just moved to Serie A from Poland, so huge risk pursuing a player with only a couple of good months of football at a top tier league. You would have to be a bit desperate to make a move.
-
upward of 90m though for Lukaku though, he is better than Morata not sure by large chunk. Hate to imagine him playing this style of football. Like i said in another thread, looking back there was no right answer so i can't fault anyone. I wanted to keep Costa for that reason because i wasn't convinced by Morata or Lukaku. I wanted Belotti, but i was skeptical of him being one season wonder and Torino wanting 60-80m was too much. I am also skeptical of Piatek for that reason, same with Jovic but he looks much more promising.
-
Recall you wanted Lukaku badly lol.
-
It is absolutely Sarri fault, after the great pre season he had he placed Victor freaking Moses ahead of him. He showed no interest in playing him until Bayern came heavy for him. It was always the case with CHO that him signing a contract extension would depend on his playing time and faith of the manager. He didn't get much of that, and comes Bayern who are showing a lot of faith in his ability.

Please come up with better opinion. How can anyone can think Alonso is better technically; Emerson has better touch, dribbling, passing, and crossing. The only thing i would give a nod to Alonso is shooting technique. Emerson track record defensively is quite good, he got a reputation as a two way FB at Roma. While on the other hand Alonso is a shit defender and that has been on display for multiple years, Sarri has placed his best attacking player out of position so Willian can cover him.
-
Alonso is better in what aspect?
-
They said the same thing Morata under Conte, i wasen't fooled from the beginning. Look EPL is just not a very favorable league to 30+ years old strikers, never mind to a newcomer to the league. The league is ultra demanding physically. At this stage of his career it seems like bad recipe to try give it a go in the PL, at this age players usually attempts to move to a less intense league to keep up with their diminishing body.
-
I really don't get this thread at all, not sure why there is a critique of attacking football. You are out of your mind if you think we are playing attacking football. FFS Sari is playing our best attacking player out of position, justifying because it makes us defensively stronger.
-
Why not just mold and play Ampedu as Jorginho backup, the youngster is competent enough and given the lack of Sarri rotation policy it would be better fitting. I don't think it is enough playing time for Paredes to make this investment worth it, but for a 18 year old seems like he would get a good amount of playing time. I would see the logic with Nicolo Barella, given he is much more versatile and can play in numerous situations. We need to put as much resource into improving our starting 11 as possible at this point, Paredes signing makes us a deeper, but not a better team.
-
Remember the logic being used to buy Giroud, that he can’t be any worse than Morata. Now basically the same argument Higuain can’t be any worse than Giroud and Morata. Really enough with the band aid signings, need to address the issue.

Disagree mate about RLC being given many chances, he hasn't. He has impressed much more than Kovacic and Barkley in less opportunities. The most frustrating thing about RLC is the injuries, he was on his way to being given much more playing time before the back thing happened. Barring a few occasions, he has always impressed. And most of his bad games this season coincided when he was fighting his back problems. Who knows if RLC is the answer but i would place him higher than Kovacic and Barkley. The later is just not good enough, and the former is not a Chelsea player and hasen't shown to be an answer.

So why are we going after a out of form 31 year old striker? Are we looking to purchase or loan?
-
He is getting suffocated in the middle, he shouldn't be playing as a false 9.
