Please come up with better opinion. How can anyone can think Alonso is better technically; Emerson has better touch, dribbling, passing, and crossing. The only thing i would give a nod to Alonso is shooting technique. Emerson track record defensively is quite good, he got a reputation as a two way FB at Roma. While on the other hand Alonso is a shit defender and that has been on display for multiple years, Sarri has placed his best attacking player out of position so Willian can cover him.

Alonso is better in what aspect?

They said the same thing Morata under Conte, i wasen't fooled from the beginning. Look EPL is just not a very favorable league to 30+ years old strikers, never mind to a newcomer to the league. The league is ultra demanding physically. At this stage of his career it seems like bad recipe to try give it a go in the PL, at this age players usually attempts to move to a less intense league to keep up with their diminishing body.

I really don't get this thread at all, not sure why there is a critique of attacking football. You are out of your mind if you think we are playing attacking football. FFS Sari is playing our best attacking player out of position, justifying because it makes us defensively stronger.

Why not just mold and play Ampedu as Jorginho backup, the youngster is competent enough and given the lack of Sarri rotation policy it would be better fitting. I don't think it is enough playing time for Paredes to make this investment worth it, but for a 18 year old seems like he would get a good amount of playing time. I would see the logic with Nicolo Barella, given he is much more versatile and can play in numerous situations. We need to put as much resource into improving our starting 11 as possible at this point, Paredes signing makes us a deeper, but not a better team.

Remember the logic being used to buy Giroud, that he can’t be any worse than Morata. Now basically the same argument Higuain can’t be any worse than Giroud and Morata. Really enough with the band aid signings, need to address the issue.

Disagree mate about RLC being given many chances, he hasn't. He has impressed much more than Kovacic and Barkley in less opportunities. The most frustrating thing about RLC is the injuries, he was on his way to being given much more playing time before the back thing happened. Barring a few occasions, he has always impressed. And most of his bad games this season coincided when he was fighting his back problems. Who knows if RLC is the answer but i would place him higher than Kovacic and Barkley. The later is just not good enough, and the former is not a Chelsea player and hasen't shown to be an answer.

So why are we going after a out of form 31 year old striker? Are we looking to purchase or loan?

Playing Pedro up top is much more viable than moving your best player out of position.

The only thing Sarri has tinkered and experimented with all season is playing his best player out of position ffs.

Willian performance in the CL last season against Barca is so freaking overrated, never seen a player performance be so highly thought of because he hit the crossbar multiple times. He was seen as very unlucky that he should have had a hat trick, the fact he hitted the crossbar imo was more lucky than anything. Willian goal record over his career speaks volume, i don't think he has ever had a hat trick in his entire senior career and can't recall any multiple goals game in his career.

We should try to get a upgrade over Azpi if we are being honest, Hsaj is not really an upgrade we have been linked with him the most. But yeah if we persist with Azpi, than yeah save the money and just play the youngster.

Obviously Willian has played in superior league and all that, and everything is not straight forward. But still.

Can't understand why people are turning on Jorginho, those are just idiots. He is a complete midfielder; solid defensively, tremendous in build up, key to our ability to control possession. That is basically all you could ask for from the deepest player in your midfield. Our issue in midfield is creativity in the final third and goals. Those are much more the responsibility of the midfielders who are in much better position to create and score goals.

There is no single solution to this team, Pulisic signing is in the direction. This side definitely needs players like Pulisic and CHO; pacy, direct, and technical players. We need a creative midfielder in the final third, need someone with pin point passing. FBs that can stretch and overload the opposition. And of course a striker is also needed.

Forget changing shape, Sarri always subs one player and brings on a player with similar style. So rigid.

Pedro should play in the middle, he would much more effective than Hazard at that position. And play where Hazard is most effective on the left side.
