Think Ugarte, Caicedo, and Enzo is much more balanced midfield. I like Gallagher but you spent 230m on Cai and Enzo, you might as well get a DM that allows those two to play B2B like they are suited for. I think that was the plan before Ugarte decided to take PSG higher wage over Chelsea. try to get Ugarte on loan.
-
Ugarte is avaliable, doesn't fit Enrique version of a 6. On the other hand he fits like a glove in Poch system.
-
Seeing Chelsea fans rooting for City pathetic and loser mentality. Couldn't give a damn if Arsenal or City won the title, i am only invested in Chelsea success not other teams failures or success.
-
Top 4 would have been easily achievable with a decent manager. I don't care this squad is incredibly underperformed under Poch. Villa and Spuds should not be ahead of us. A draw and 2 wins, people acting like Poch is turning the table. Expectation is that low.
-
Yup, it is absolutely foolish to sit back and invite pressure from the plethora of talents from Madrid.
-
If they sack Poch, they will go after De Zerbi. I think he is a better fit than Poch for this squad, i think he can get more out of the squad than Poch can.
-
vitinha is such a joyful player to watch, wish we had a player like him.
-
I think you make exception for a talent like Estevao.

All genocides and similar atrocity committed came as a response, so they all have the "self defense" argument. Pretty much everyone, even the most vile people that has walked this earth all believed that they were on the right and had moral justifications.

Hopefully this summer we actually purchase players that are improvement over our current players.
-
indeed, especially since we already had a CB/RB(Chalobah) who is much better.
-
Interesting profile a CM/AM, potential Gallagher replacement?
-
I think he is improving, but i also think that Palmer overloading on the right also helps.
-
Have nothing to say about the first part, it is just freaking evidence the balance and better XI we have would not happen if some players did not get injured. Bolded part we can agree on. So what does Poch performance as a manager say overall this season? Not good enough. Absolute insanity that some of you are going at bat for Poch after *check notes* a draw and 2 wins coming off one of the worst Chelsea displays i have seen against Arsenal.
-
No it is because the players Poch preferred are injured, and players like Cucu, Noni, Chalobah who have been superb in the last couple of games were not prioritized throughout the season. It is quite evident that we struggled this season is mostly due to Poch incompetence and preference for players that was detrimental to our season.
-
The improvement is mostly Poch being forced to play players that are better fit and balance to the squad. So it is false illusion; an illusion caused by his own incompetence for most of the season. when next season everyone is healthy we go back to square one.
-
kneejerk reaction, this team is likely finishing 7th or 8th. That is the story. the biggest issue is that he is a terrible fit for our two most expensive players Enzo and Caicedo neither player are suited to occupy space like Pochitino wants them to play. Poch is not going to win you anything, and he is not going to get the best out of the players you invested the most amount of money.
-
I don't get that 'entitled brats' criticism. I mean we finished 12th last season and currently 9th. That is just bad and certainly no excuse to be playing like this, it is not like we are just missing out on top 4, if it was case yeah i would get "entitled brats" criticism. But we are very far behind where we used to be.

Tuchel was going to get himself sacked one way or another that season, he is a good cup manager but he was clearly the wrong person to lead Chelsea. We should get that guy, but i think he is likely what Bayern will push for at the end of the season.
-
I like Motta and Xavi on that list. I am also a huge fan of Sebastian Hoeneß, who has significantly elavated Stuttgart. Some here were quite vocal about wanting to keep Poch a few days ago, but come on. Poch is potter minus Palmer.
-
Thiago Motta has done such a great job at Bologna, currently on track for CL football. Seen rumors of him taking the Juventus job, but he would be my #1 choice, prefer Alonso and Xavi but they are either staying or taking a break next season. Motta is modern coach, great football and outstanding with relationship with players.
-
I think it is a good fit, but imo replacing Klopp is probably the toughest job. IMO there is not a manager who has squeezed more out of his players than Klopp.
-
It is obvious they liked Potter a lot, they were wrong about him but neverless they liked him a lot. Sporting CP isn't Porto and Benfica, they were up there with them until the 80s. Since then Portugal league has been dominated by two team, Amorim brought Sporting first league title in 20 years. Truth of the matter is that there is always risks and quite frankly given where Chelsea are at they have to take more risks since this is not the same Chelsea that could go out get the best manager available.
-
Think he is much beteer fit at Pool, his style is direct like Poch. think this Chelsea squad would benefit from a manager that favors positional and possession play.
-
That is true, but those sides were playing at a much higher level. . I actually think Tuchel first 6 months was great team football. From GK all the way to the attacking trio Werner, Havertz, and Mount were playing good football. More was needed out of them, but it is amazing to me how he completely moved away from that trio that just won a CL, and following season they hardly played together.
