Bettinelli contract is up in the summer. He will be most likely replaced by someone else who will never play, but is HG. RLC contract is up in 2024 and if we don't intend to play him at all he will go. Opportunities will be even harder to find if he rots on the bench for a year after all these injuries.

The only way I can see the Enzo deal happening is with a six month loan and I am not sure if we can send more players out on loan with the UEFA regulations. We could have finalized it 25 days ago. Even if sign Enzo and Caicedo we are not winning anything. We have Kante, Jorgi, Kova, Zakaria, RLC and you can add Chukwuemeka Gallagher and Mount for 2 to 3 positions on the pitch. How can you build a new squad with 40 players. We should get Gusto before United if possible, but that is that. Wait until the summer to sell/release players and start from scratch. If GP wants to start playing with a lone DM we can try Zakaria/Kante or even Chalobah there for the rest of the players to start getting used to it and buy the new guy in the summer.

In order for a transfer to be a success you need both a good player and a good team. We lack a consistent spine, which inevitably exposes new players. We went to a 4 at the back system just for the sake of it. Most of the positions have different jobs compared to 2-3 months ago. Atm it looks like nobody knows what exactly he should do. We need 5-6 players who are starters every week and keep the level of performance more or less the same. Injuries haven't helped, but I believe we should build long term. If TB and co have decided Potter is the man then that's it, but we need him to decide how he wants his team to set up and do it. Even if he doesn't have the players for it. We can change players, but a footballing style takes time to build.

At the end of the day considering the Roman drama we managed to pull one hell of a transfer window. Up to Tuchel to build a team out of all these players. Hope he succeeds!
