On a serious note that is what a project means. We gave up going after City when we sacked Tuchel and hit the restart button. All the we are winning the league bs was to install some confidence in the young guys. A top 8 finish and a better understanding among the players are the targets for the season. Let’s hope injuries are avoided and we have a bit of luck throughout the season. Keep supporting the lads AND the manager. We can be critical, but not offensive towards out own. COYB!

Next season will be better. Right? Right?
-
The referee is determined to let the play run. A lot of little kicks and shoves by Forest going unpenalized.
-
Tomorrow will be crazy. It’s good we don’t chase anyone. We will fight to offload whoever we can. Turkey and Saudi will be the options for the players we don’t manage to sell/loan.
-
If we refuse to pay high wages outright we are doomed. Not giving money away for the sake of it ala United I understand, but when a player shines we need to pay in order to be in the conversation for the next big thing. At the end of the day football employs people and they will always strive to be better paid.

Kit announcement coming. Lets hope the sponsor is finally confirmed. Its a 90s thing.

On top of the massive fee and push from Musiala himself in order to make this deal at least 1% possible Bayern look thin in the 10 role. Muller is 34 and all other options are wingers. Granted Tuchel can set up without one, but still this one looks like a silly season classic. The two clubs are talking over Chalobah, we need an attacking versatile player and he used to be part of our academy. Lovely ingredients to make up a story.
-
Their recent history with Richarlison and Joao Pedro look good, but I just don't see the physicality in the boy.
-
I am not so sure. Brazilian kid striker and the championship are not the best match in my books. Depends on the team I guess.
-
If we loan both Lukaku and Chalobah Washington has to stay with us or go on loan in the championship. I guess he won’t be too happy, if all the reports about Strasbourg were true.
-
I would like to believe we have a plan and are working on a concrete deal, BUT I think the one more attacking player talk started when we lost Chuku to injury and Olise deal collapsed. To our disappointment I think the board lack an unanimous decision who to go for and are on the brink of entering deadline day in panic mode. Hope I'm wrong.

A dagger form sky not to televise that one. Only hope is to not get new injuries. There is not a lot to learn against league 2 opposition. Quite embarrassing if we lose, but no need for smashing them. Just get trough unscathed and everyone here will love it.

ESR is a gamble and a lot depends on the transfer fee. If it is below 35m we should go for it. Just needs an extensive check over the injuries issue. Resell value will be there. He looked great at he u21s. Probably has some kind of relationship with Madueke and Colwill already and is versatile enough to cover 2-3 positions. If he is ok to come knowing he wont be part of the first 11 with everyone healthy as it stands and does not demand crazy wages I can see a great transfer for all parties. We can add the best bit, that if he bangs and Kai flops, we will have brilliant banter ammunition.

Writing off all the players who are on the brink of leaving we have: GK - Sanchez - Petrovic - Bettinelli CB - Silva - Colwill - Disasi - Badiashile FB - James - Gusto - Chilwell - Cucu/Maatsen CM/DM - Caicedo - Lavia - Ugochukwu - Enzo - Gallagher ATT - Nkunku - Chukwuemeka - Sterling - Mudryk - Madueke ST - Jackson - Broja That is a 23 man squad. We can wiggle a lot with registration as a lot of these players are HG, u21 or both. With one more attacking player we can close the squad. Probably one of Chalobah or Bashir can stay for cover, but it will probably be an overkill for this season.

Hazard won League 1 in 2011 and scored 20 goals the following season with Lille finishing 3rd. How does Cherki compare to that is beyond me. Stay away from this guy. He could be great one day, but we are in no position for more gambles. A lot of you were using Sterling to justify that every transfer is a gamble, but you can see a different Sterling this year and this comes with experience, self-believe and good coaching. Most of the players we are being linked with the past two days are worrying. I guess Sancho is impossible and Raphinha's attitude and wages might be a problem. Lets see what happens this week.

Can someone explain the loan rules? As I understand the rules we can loan out 7 players. Players who are u21 AND club trained do not count. So currently we have - Fofana, Angelo, Slonina, Kepa and Ziyech. Lukaku is on the brink of taking spot number 6. And I guess we will need number 7 for Washington. Do senior players within the federation (Prem and Championship) count? And as I understand it we cant loan out Sarr or any other senior player to Strasbourg other than Washington.
-
There has been some noise around Sancho. Only random accounts report it, but exchanging Cucu for Sancho on loans may be a decent stopgap.
-
You are crazy. Most of the players on the pitch know each other for a month or two. What do you expect? Prime city? Prime Barca? And on top of that we have NINE injuries. Only thing that matters is the win today. Keep your feet on the ground and the blue flag flying high!
-
You know what. Bring back Eden. He has barely played in the last 2-3 years. Putting the right shirt back on may be what both sides need. Just look at what Robben did after a horrid spell at Real. What do you think?
-
The one transfer I am really disappointed didn't happen is Dybala. Would have been perfect, if fit. Any chance we can do something with Lukaku for him, or has this ship sailed?
-
Probably the injury to the system's most important player in Nkunku played a part in his decision. Opening game against Pool with 5 experienced attackers didn't help 4231 too.
-
A bargain by our standards then 😀
-
I really don't rate any player, who is even remotely on the market(realistic) and can come and improve us. There are a lot of gambles out there, but no sure things. Especially after the Caicedo debut I am reluctant to recommend a sub 25yo player. I would bet on the current squad until January. There are soo many new players we really cant analyze where exactly should we improve. Another GK is a must this window though.

Friday night at the Bridge. Let's get the 3 point and kick start our season. I don't care who starts and what is the formation I only want them 3 points and completely trust in Poch. Up the Chels!

As you can see we played against one of the most experienced teams. Well drilled in what they do - defend and counter. First half you could see which team had more talent. Second half you could see who has been there done that. Simple as that.
