A midfield 3 with Lavia and Ugo right in front of the medics 😀

We have to score a goal here. The only positive thing from the first half is that they had to do 2 subs. Hope Broja can score again and the big sub Alfie for Colwill and Gusto at left back. Levi is on the brink of a red against a mid table championship side.

From the starting eleven today only one player has started last season with us. I think this is unprecedented in pro football. Poch can make a team out of all these players. Time is a bit of an excuse, but he certainly needs a fit squad to establish training rules.
-
One of Palmer or Nkunku gas to be playing as a nine until we sign a striker. Body language of our team is so so defeated…
-
We beat Spurs to mask it, but Poch is helping them get to Cl by getting us out of contention. Sad thing to see…
-
All the short corners are killing me. Not even commenting on the defending.
-
Why did we lose 5 min?? Did he die??
-
I am really disappointed today, because Wolves have been playing terribly. We still manage to find ways to bottle every game. Making draws into losses and wins into whatever. Can Nkunku be our Jesus?
-
We are done now 🙂
-
Missed great chances - Broja, Jackson and Sterling in that order. Then we lost control of the game. We need the first goal before the 65-70th minute in order to snatch this one. If they manage to get one we are done…

Typical mid table game. Some class here or there, but too many mistakes.

When even my friends mock me no more you know we are in deep sh*t. I don’t believe there has been such a fall from grace in football history. We won the cl in 21 and can’t finish top 10 for a second year running. I am tired of searching for excuses, it’s not my job. Every weekend I am frustrated and sad. The hope is what kills us. Every week we turn a corner, start seeing some positives or climbing up the table. Any second now… Wtf?

I was shocked to see that our last win in this tie was in 2017 under Conte. They have smacked us once or twice during this period. I believe it is only fair to smack them back on Wednesday. We are the only team who have consistently beaten them when they were good and are the only team consistently not beating them now that they are shit. Lets stop the rot and start climbing up that table!

And in a friendly, but in the prem it was 2 losses and 3 draws. 5 winless overall. About tome to get one!
-
We had the game wrapped up in 20 minutes and managed to make it so so hard. Very unprofessional decision from Gallagher to try and take that ball from behind on a yellow. All you Connor haters better hope we manage to beat and outplay united without him. At the end of the day I am proud of the boys and happy to beat Brighton for the first time in a while. Let’s keep pushing!

I was on a vacation last week. Still managed to watch the game at a bar. I am a bit shocked from this forum. I understand there was a lot of optimism on the back of our last games, but Newcastle are good, especially at home. Psg, Arsenal, Villa and Man city have fallen on that stadium. They are relentless, very physical, have one of the three best dead ball specialist in the prem and have a top class striker. Isak is arguably the second best in the league. Its not like we got nullified and beaten by Nottingham Forest. Oh wait, bad example. The biggest let down was that 3rd goal that Silva created, because they really had no bench and we could have gotten to them at the end. That goal really got to us. They may have a lot of injuries, but their starting eleven is simply better than ours. In terms of both experience and quality. The game against Brighton will be big. If we manage to get the points, we are budling a team. A reaction after a bad result is a must for a big team. Lets see what Poch and the boys come out with on Sunday.

I can see a bit of Rudi in Disasi. Missing the same pace, but certainly not missing the character. Always ready for a tackle. He needs to clean up his game a bit, but has the potential to be the monster in the middle of this defence. This week has been the best since our cl win. Loved everything about both games. Could have won yesterday, but played out a crazy classic. To open up city soo many times and make them look like your average top half team has been inspirational. I feel emotionally invested in this team and truly believe we have the opportunity to be top of the world!

I loved every minute of this game. The joy, the frustration, the desperation. So many emotions... It was an epic. You cant really take anything away from a game like that, except of course these precious 3 points. It was such a cruel game for spuds. They lost half their team to injury or suspension and the best bit is that they had hope throughout he game. It makes it this much better when you really break their hearts. Loved it. Lets beat this extremely good and very boring city team and make this season a f**king classic! KTBFFH!

The reality is if we had signed 2-3 players in key positions and not sold our whole squad(which won us a CL btw) we would have been in and around 4th sport. Both this and last season. We are trying an undercut strategy in F1 terms. Hope it works out in the end, but I am not as optimistic as I was 3 months ago.

Bring back together the duo of Haaland and Bellingham in Chelsea blue. What could have been...
-
Madueke is probably our worst new era transfer. He is nowhere near ready to play in the prem. Hudson odoi was better. We had so many bad transfers in such a short period of time, but there was some logic behind most of them. This guy plays badly, does not run and has not shown a glimpse of class in professional football. Jackson is Batshuayi level. Ok for the bench for 2-3 seasons. Nowhere near top half quality. Injuries are killing us, but the season seems over in freaking October. Unacceptable! City, Arsenal, Pool and apparently Spurs are definitely finishing above us. Add Man utd, Newcastle, Brighton and Villa, who probably will finish above us. Beat case scenario we finish 9th. My god what a progress. Trust the process. No, I won’t. The only joy I got from Chelsea are some transfers. On the pitch misery upon misery. I am really invested in football, but simply cannot take this every week!!!
-
If we manage to beat them, we are back in contention. We haven't beaten a team in the title race since Man city under Tuchel. We need 3 points against some of the big boys to install the confidence needed for growth. COYB!
-
I don’t believe so. It is certainly possible, but last year there was the same talk about Nottingham and Bournemouth. At the end of the day a lot can happen in a season.
-
I cant say I completely agree with your point. Yes, we are buying young players, but we are not in the market for bargains per say. We spend a lot of money on players who on paper are the absolute best in their age group. It is a big gamble, but we can easily buy 2-3 ready made players when the dust settles and we can analyze the squad. Here comes the role of Poch to keep players happy. The ones who preform on the expected level(Enzo) must be kept motivated and believing in the project. As long as he manages that, I think we will be alright.
-
Yeah. Lets get someone from Brighton. Heard they are developing great players. 😄
