And it shows the other lads and the academy what a true legend/leader does. We are going to miss the old sod when he leaves in more ways than one. I like it when guys want to get back to train early. I remember last year when Schurrly came back 2 weeks before the Gooners Germans. And that brilliant interview he gave. Made me proud of the lad. Very emotional. Full of love for Chelsea.

And Im thinking it should be sooner rather than later. Id also swap Cahill out this season - either with a TOP CB we get this season or Zouma. But we are going to be in deep shit IMHO as with 3 of our back 4 on 1 year contracts (with Filip 4) and with JT more than likely being his last season with him not wanting to go out like Drogs. Im of thoughts wanting to get a young back 4 that will be together for years (Im still dreaming Varane) I would prefer them instead of buying 20/30 year olds who will only be around a year or 2 and we wouldnt make our money back on them. With our defence being such a big part of our game am I the only one thinking we could/should be looking at upgrading as a priority?

I too like AM. They manage to find great players after selling great players. But I love Chelsea and if we can use them as a feeder club to get almost anyone from (within reason) then Im all up for it. But it would be about right if we end up not getting anyone from them and it being just another player we have been linked with for a long time. ere saying that isn't it weird not hearing Hulks name!

Not seen anything about Bamford for awhile now so doesnt look like hes going back to Boro which I think would have been great for us. I'm hoping hes not going to be staying with us. Hes far too fresh and couldnt help us in top games IMHO. And with us already having a striker with a dodgy leg and to be nice Falcao it would leave us buggered if Costas leg gave out (after seemingly not having the career saving operation we thought he was going to get as soon as the season finished!)

You know what? I used to get very attached to players but it was when seeing Lamps in that shitty washed out blue shirt that made me realize I was a nutter. They only see a club as like any other large corporation. Its just us lot thats got the loyalty and love for 1 team all our lives. But I do get upset when it seems to me slightly that Big Pete might just be giving us a big fuck you. With his psych degree he understands that this move will be big for us lot and is bound to be very contoversial. From what I saw of him before he joined us I thought he might be good for us. He could be good but I think at his best he will be very similar to Willian. And I think we need more than that. Our problem is that with the size of our small (and getting smaller) squad when we bring in what seems a good player we NEED him to be on top of his game straight away. We haven't got the luxury of a mid table team that dont realistically have a chance of winning the PL or CL. They can get away with letting a player find his feet and experiment with positions etc. We have to do all that in the short pre season and if it goes wonky then we are fucked. And thats the same problem we have with academy lads. We have so much expectations on us that we have to but/play 'complete and ready' players. The only way round it would be a radical long term plan where we wouldnt have a proper chance of winning anything. And just imagine the chaos and anarchy that would cause.

Hope the guy makes us some money back eventually cause we know he wont be wearing Chelsea Blue . And I wonder when/who/IF we shall post 'Welcome To Chelsea 1st Team' to anyone?

Hope he dont go asking Falcao for lessons. Diving is my pet hate and it really winds me up no matter who does it. We have had our fair share of lads that like to give it a go and Ive always wanted to shake them warmly by the throat.

Ive been nervous from the start of day 1 and Ive been around long enough to not get nervous about transfer season. But Ive got that rumble in the pit of my stomach. Thought it might be a dodgy lamb karahi but its been going too long now. Ive been trying to search for an old transfer thread for Diego Costa but must have been deleted after he joined. Read all the lists myself but it doesnt tell you from our neutral viewpoint. Cheers mate Sounds like he might be a good no.10 for us then. What we miss is a game changer. Someone who can come on (and if hes that good he will start) and change the game, The depth/alternatives we have up front are pretty much all similar so the opposition dont need to make any changes when they happen. Apart from Hazard who is a step or 2 up on most I bet teams we play dont have fear for the other AMs we have. Theyre good yes but thats just the same as some chick we fancy telling us that she thinks we are NICE but......

I must admit Ive never watched AM and took special notice about him. Thinking about him as a real neutral what are his strengths and weaknesses?

Thats all well and good if youve got a team thats dominating in where you want to be. And IF youve got any ambition for us to make a place in Europe then I cant see us doing it with all the lads we got now. And we cant turn the clock back. Its not just us thats looking to build there teams as good as they can and also spend much more money than we do now. So WTF shouldnt we spend some of the money we have to strengthen the squad to a quality and hopefully age that they can stay together for awhile. If we sit back watching our PL rivals all strengthening their teams (Even if you might think theyre a bunch of wankers, which they are) we are going to be left behind and Im sure thats the last thing we want eh.
