Well with us having a couple of players in it I was praying for a good show from Falcao but alas it didnt come. He actually looked out of breath pretty early (thats gonna be the 1st thing Jose looks at I can imagine) Apart from Neymar throwing all his toys out his pram and acting like a spoiled brat the most intersting thing was there didn't seem any love lost between Filipe and Cuadrado. But seeing it looks like neither of them will be with us too much longer - Oh well!

Out of all the lads we got representing Brazil v Columbia in a minute Im hoping Falcao plays his bollocks off.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has confirmed his interest in signing Chelsea full-back, Filipe Luis. The Brazilian only left Atletico last summer but struggled in England in 2014/15 and could well be on the move again this summer. Luis created 10 chances in just 15 Premier League appearances last season. (ESPN) With it looking like we are interested in bringing Griezmann in and for awhile now AM are supposedly interested in Filipe whats the problem in some sort of part ex? Am I being too naive?

Well at least hes a couple years younger than Godin and Miranda so he could be round for a few years before we had to trade him in for a younger model.

Has Mou ever commented whether he made a mistake bringing Salah?

Which loanees have a future at the club?
Unionjack replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Ive only watched him a bit this season but for a lad his age hes got to have a good future ahead of him. And he doesnt need a GPS to find the goal. Its gonna be hard to know just what we do with him tho even with Mou liking him. -
I hear ya but it all this silly season palava doesnt do my sphincter alot of good.

Why is it okay to kill a cow but the second you have sex with it, it is animal cruelty? -

Or then again you could just take it like the bit of a craic its supposed to be. -
Two cats called '1,2,3' & 'un,deux, trois' had swim race across channel. 1,2,3 cat won because un, deux, trois cat sank! Ive not got the mind for maths apart from gramms, ounces, pounds and kilos. I got behind in maths lessons so used to dread having them so ended up just dossing round the West End getting into mischief.

Whereas IF we do end up getting Sterling you wouldn't hear me shouting 'Get Sterling out' from my seat I do totally agree that I'd be throwing myself around MH Upper having a private party if we managed to get one from that list. I see a report somewhere this morning we were still after Griezmann. Maybe I'll still have to donate my left dangley afterall.

A few daft laws from around this lovely world of ours that shows just how bloody bonkers its gone. In Lebanon, men are legally allowed to have sex with animals, but the animals must be female.Having sexual relations with a male animal is punishable by death. (Like THAT makes total sense eh!) Bahrain, a male doctor may legally examine a woman's genitals, but is prohibited from looking directly at them during the examination. He may only see their reflection in a mirror. (Do they look different reversed?) Muslims are banned from looking at the genitals of a corpse. This also applies to undertakers. The sex organs of the deceased must be covered with a brick or piece of wood at all times. (A soddin brick?) The penalty for masturbation in Indonesia is decapitation. (Glad I don't live in Indonesia! Much worse than going blind!') There are men in Guam whose full-time job is to travel the countryside and deflower young virgins, who pay them for the privilege of having sex for the first time. Reason: Under Guam law it is expressly forbidden for virgins to marry. (Let's just think for a minute: Is there any job anywhere else in the world that even comes close to this?) In Hong Kong, a betrayed wife is legally allowed to kill her adulterous husband, but may only do so with her bare hands. The husband's illicit lover, on the other hand, may be killed in any manner desired. (C'mon lads we have all known a girlie that was capable of doing that too when we have pissed them off!) Topless saleswomen are legal in Liverpool England - but only in tropical fish stores. (Liverpool eh!) In Cali, Colombia, a woman may only have sex with her husband, and the first time this happens, her mother must be in the room to witness the act. (How many years of therapy would it take to recover from that?) In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, it is illegal for a man to have sex with a woman and her daughter at the same time. (I'm guessing this must have been a hellova problem at one time to bring in a special law) In Maryland, it is illegal to sell condoms from vending machines with one exception: condoms may be dispensed from a vending machine only in places where alcoholic beverages are sold for consumption on the premises.' Is this a great country or what? - Well,.... not as great as Guam! Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.(Musta been a bloody Gooner that volunteered for the test!) The Ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weght and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated. (From drinking little bottles of ??? Wish I had what they were smoking when they came up with the idea to research this!) An Ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain (Apparently Ostritrichs are Gooners!) Starfish don't have brains. (AND Starfish) And, the best for last? Turtles can breathe through their ass. (And I thought Gooners had bad breath) Right - Im off down the bucket shop for a flight to Guam!

But it dont stop us from trying to get the best we can.
-
Im not saying hes crap but surely we should be setting our targets much higher. Before you go on about it yes I know getting a TOP striker is hard considering we are supposedly a 1 striker set up but why should it be any harder for us than any other club? Players at every club have got to fight for their place and other clubs seem to be able to do it ok Any striker that saw us last year that fancied himself would think well Costas got dodgy legs and Remys probably not going to be there and I'm better than Falcao so Id reckon they might just be up for pushing for top spot. But if we dont try to get the best players we can instead of hasbeens and wannabes we will never get nowhere.

Hes a strong talented young English player with what should be one hellova future ahead of him. Theres no way on earth the dippers will sell him cheaply. 'A FAIR PRICE' depends whether youre the buyer or seller but theres going to be some money added on for his future prospects. We have been very lucky with some signings buying them for whats shown to be a low price. But also paid alot of money for whats proven to be 3 legged donkeys. Unfortunately we dont have hindsight so we gotta go on what we see. IMHO Sterling offers more to us offensively than Willian. Willians got a good workrate but hes not an attacking midfielder. Hes good from box to box but offers nowt in goals or assists which is what I thought an AM does. Sterling has a much more direct approach which is something we need. Hes crying out for someone who will trust him and give him the confidence to go the step further. I think we could give him that.

Well done peeps. It takes alot of work to run a site. Not just the admin and mod stuff but Im sure theyd all say the sites nowt without the members -
You know what. Ill tell ya summet. Last season I called Falcao a few unpleasant names and must admit most of it was because he was at United and how much Id wanted him to join us before. But Im coming round to be more on his side than before. And most of it is because of bitching and slagging off by alot of you lot. If the lad comes out and hes wearing Chelsea Blue the last thing we need is us all getting on his case. Wait and see if the geezer fucks up while hes playing for US! So C'mon guys. Lets all pretend we are downstairs at United before the game having some liquid refreshments, just lubricating the voice box. We know how much they love taking the piss about Mata leaving. Dont tell me we wouldnt go absolutely bonkers when Falcao comes on as a sub and scores! I'll start of his first song for us,I know the lyrics are going to be a toughie for some of us But the tunes hear if you haven't heard it already. http://m.fanchants.com/football-songs/atletico-madrid-chants/radamel-falcao/ Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Loooooooo........ Radamel Falcao... Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Radamel Falcao...

I think what we should do is upgrade maybe 3 or 4 and use the old ones as the reinforcements. We was very lucky early season that it was only us on form which left the others playing catchup. You coulnt say that we couldnt do with an upgrade in a few areas. Im not saying the ones needing upgrades are awful but they either cant hold form, getting slow/old or we just could do better. It looks like whether Mou says so or not we are losing a few players and with an already small squad we are going to be up a creek unless we buy more players. He said that he wanted a squad of 25/26 and unless we fill up on academy kids I cant see it. I know we never know whats going on behind the scenes and theres but theres normally some gossip thats true about whos coming. All the gossip lately is for hasbeens and wannabes. I reckon Im going to stay away from the media till pre season friendlies and come back happy or with a need to get wrecked.

Admittedly Ive not watched this lad much in games but since hes been 'linked' with us Ive watched all his youtubes and Ive not really seen anything thats convinced me hes Chelsea standard. I know we need depth but if a player we are going to buy isnt either an upgrade for ones we have OR they offer a game changing alternative to the mirrored copies we already have sitting on the bench then I really dont see any point in bothering with them. In Willian/Cuadrado we already have 2 players that on their best are very similar, they offer nothing to each other if substituted apart from being the same. And to bring in Costa I dont see it as bringing anything advantageous to us. I dont mind Willian hes ok but I do think we should upgrade him and it should be a priority to do so. I dont know who brought Cuadrado or why unless it was a last minute knee jerk reaction. And IF it was Jose I doubt he would ever put his hands up and admit to being an error until he writes his memoirs.

To be honest I really couldnt give a toss what they want to call the stadium. WE all will still call our home The Bridge. It didnt make me happy when we got kicked out of the shed. I remember we couldnt agree where we was going to go so after not coming to agreements during meetings (well piss ups at the So Bar) we all ended up spitting up round the ground which buggered up the atmosphere (which is a big reason why we have a good vocal away cause allthe noisey gits are together . But its no skin off our nose what someone wants to call it. Theyre going to build us a nice big shiney home (and yes I hope its going to hold more than 60k. We might as well go big if we are gonna do it) If its going to stay where it is it shall always be known as Stamford Bridge) But what can we do about safe standing? Thats a bigger thing for me rather than what we call the place.

And a sponsership for training kit.
-
Yeah OK. Just playing devils advocate. I know hes a really good player and would probably do well for us. But Id dearly love Varane/Zouma

I saw this report on WAGNH this morning. I didnt even think about going down (LOL Sovenia just scored) It would clear up alot of the probems of residents skylines and surrounding ares eh! As for going to Wembley I cant see why not if they let us. Right now unfortunately I spend alot of time 80miles up the A1 from home which means a 80mile trip down town (only missed 1 home game this season and 3 away) so a trip to Wembleys no skin off my nose. I know its being homeless for 3 years but wouldnt that be worth it to get a brand new home? I think whats as important is we try to push forward the whole safe standing debate. It would create a so much bigger capacity and bigger takings for all the shareholders. Anyone whos travelled abroad knows how well this works and I really cant see any problems with it myself even thinking negatively. Ive not looked too far back in this thread but have we considered a sponser for building the new Bridge?
-
And you dont see a harm in us having to change Godin yet again shortly and disrupting the whole defence rather than get someone 4 or 3 years younger (still a good 26/27) that will stay around awhile? But i do agree theres a good £10mill of hype on Pogbas shoulders. But my dream is having those 3 French lads together. I'm smiling now just thinking of it.
