I know the 2 defenders we ended up with arent household names but I do think they might just surprise us. I cant see Pog coming to us unfortunately but Im praying we make Europe this season so we can hopefully spend a few quid getting the players we still need and another CB to cover JT more likely than not.

Cant take all this Mou out bullshit. The only thing we can whine about as far as he goes is team selection. We had basically the same players as the start of last season when I thought we were playing brilliant football. The same team are all training together, on the pitch together, asleep together. If the players aren't doing the jobs with the sort of emotions and character they should be then its them that need the wake up call. I'm still all for Mou and just hope the fuck he keeps Bane on the bench and finds a way to wake the buggas up.

The problem is that not many are consistently great thats why they get paid the big bucks. And not even the top players that have been with a club 3 years or more. Its all a big gamble. You pays your money and rolls the dice. Do we pay over the top prices for a player that might just win us more games than we would without him? Hard choices. We all know that we have some lads in the academy that are showing promise. They look like they will have long careers in professional football. But playing for the TOP clubs for any of them is a step that only 1 or 2 will make. Look at our academy over the last few years. They have kinda dominated England and dome great across Europe but none of them have progressed to the majors. I'm a firm believer that cream comes to the top and no matter what club a player goes to on loan whatever hes going to shine and stand out if hes got that class. Thats one reason they do go out on loans. Ideally it is to get them experience so WE can use them but we know more often than not is to hopefully catch the medias eye so we can make money on them. Take a look at the lads in the academy. To me they look like what they are. Kids. They have some skills, they got some speed etc but they dont have the bulk, footballing minds or the worldliness to make it in Chelsea. Of course every single one of us would love our academy to be the Chelsea apprenticeship and for them to graduate into the 1st team squad but realistically we must celebrate if we manage to get 1 every now n then. But its not to say they wont make good careers in other clubs.

With Mou putting Kennedy in LB with Bane still on the pitch owt can happen. I see him being played. Mou wouldnt have kept him on for 5 years like this on different loans and bring him back into the squad for him not to play. I'd be very suprized if he wasn't.
