How is that? The African Cup of Nations is switching to Summer (just like the Euros)

Comparing number of points between different seasons doesn't make any sense, and I hope you realize that. By your logic, Manchester United from 12/13 season is a better side than United from 07/08 season (when they won both Premier League and UCL, and were easily the best team in the world), since in 12/13 they won PL with 89 points, and 07/08 with 87 points, and guess what, Mourinho team from 14/15 season is also as good as 07/08 United, since in both situations the teams won the league with 87 points, and by your logic 14/15 Chelsea was a better team than Chelsea was in 07/08, because in that season Chelsea ended the season with 85 points, and its obvious 14/15 Mourinho team wasn't even close of being as good as Liverpool was back in 07/08, let alone being better or as good as Chelsea or United were in 2008.
"The fact that we won a few games 7-2, 7-1, 7-0, 8-0 and broke goalscoring record made it look like a good attacking team." Okay, made it look like a good attacking team, but probably wasn't...Right.
Those games against Liverpool weren't just "huge disappointments". They were actually hints of Mourinho football DNA, and in hindsight thats pretty obvious. Those semi finals were lost because of Mourinho vision of football: his main goal is not to lose the game. Sometimes he is so afraid of losing that he makes winning more difficult than it was supposed to be.
"Take last season away and everyone will expect this team to win". No and no! A big fat NO! Nobody would expect us to in the league, not even Conte was expecting that I'm pretty sure. Ok, finishing mid table last season was crazy, but this squad wasn't not even close of being good enough to be a team that people would "expect" to win. Actually, if Conte had stayed with some old tactics and using some old player, right now this team would between 4th and 6th place in the middle of the current Liverpool, United and Arsenal zone. Jesus, at the start of the season Terry and Ivanovic were considered untouchable players in this squad, and even Oscar was a key player. Pedro was a flop, Moses useless, David Luiz a joke, and Alonso the worst signing of the summer. Conte's fingerprints in the success of this season is pretty pretty pretty obvious.

I think he means, Before Poyet took over, Musonda was playing regularly. After Poyet got kicked out, the other guy just continued with the trend as most managers do. Select the same players the previous managers were selecting. Coupled with injuries, its been a difficult season for young Charlie.
IMO its rather bad luck than the Club´s fault.

The special circumstance is that we've been consistently performing like a a bottom half team. Even under Guus, our form would at best have us competing for top four.
There are A LOT of teams well ahead of us. City will have Guardiola and the best squad in the league. United will have Jose and a huge budget. Tottenham have performed better than any other team this season and Arsenal have a homogeneous squad that has a lot of chemistry.
All of those teams are well us. It would take a near miracle for us to beat all of them to the title next season.
No top four challenge is much more realistic.

No, I'd say our chances of winning the season next season is better than Leicester's was at the start of this season. But still VERY unlikely.

At least 7th? That's optimistic. There is a genuine chance we finish bottom half. Most likely we'll finish around 7th to 9th.
Think it will take an equally fluke set of circumstance for us to win the title next season..

Hi. I have updated my original model to match it exactly to the additional plans and model chelsea released. I can now show accurate views from anywhere in and around the stadium.

And for anyone new, here is a link to an animation of the stadium. It was done before the official plans were released but it is still pretty close.

Hi. Here is a first *rough* colour render. I've so many things to fix on this image, but thought I'd show you what progress has been made.

To give a little perspective to the dimensions of the stadium, if you consider that each block on the west lower in my render is 25seats x 28 rows = 700 seats per block, multiplied by 7 blocks which is 4900 seats in the west lower.
West middle is again 25seats x 12rows = 300 seats per block, multiplied by 7 blocks which is 2100 seats in the west middle.
West upper is 25seats x 35rows = 875seats per block, multiplied by 7 blocks which is 6125 seats in the west upper.
In total, the new west stand holds 13,125 seats on its own.
Here are the stand capacities in my model:
    The east stand is 16,250.
    The shed is 9,750
    The Mathew Harding is 11,250
    The west stand is 13,125
The corner between shed+west stand: 1,950
The corner between Mathew Harding + west stand: 1,950
The corner between east stand and shed: 2,475
The corner between east stand and Mathew Harding: 2,475
    Overall (model) stadium capacity: 59,225
I am pretty sure that the isle's between each block are too wide in my model. Also I think th entrances in th stands are too big. I think that if both elements scale were reduced, and only sightless, the stadium capacity would easily exceed 60,000.

Just heard a bit more on this.
There's 3 options of moving out. 1 of them will be very controversial, but makes a lot of sense at the same time.
    1. Twickenham - Seems the least likely of the 3 at the minute, but the option is there.
    2. Wembley - We'd only get 50k seats whilst we're here, but more likely to happen than Twickenham
    3. Boleyn Ground - They're hoping to redevelop the stadium into housing when West Ham move out and have this open by 2018 (We're hoping to move 2017/2018 season), so this will take a lot of persuading with the group that have brought it, but money towards the project will go a long way.
Obviously as fans we hate the prospect of moving to the old homes of one of our rivals from East London, but the club are looking at this option for the best. If we move to Twickenham or Wembley 70+% of the staff will have to be made redundant, whereas the majority of them will keep their jobs if we move here.
There'll apparently be an official statement made with decisions and designs in September, so we'll have to wait and see.

I can't remember the last time we had a second choice striker or any striker for that matter who inspired confidence. if Costa misses an important game, there's actually no need to panic as long as remy is fully fit and available. which wasn't the case in the past. To think just 2 seasons ago, Torres was our first choice striker. we have come a long way for sure.

Oscar just needs a REST. 3 or 4 years without end of season holiday has really affected his game. He's no machine. I believe Oscar is going to improve a lot next season.
