Begovic Zouma Cahill Terry Ake/Azpi Matic Oscar Willian RLC Hazard Falcao This is key for match fitness, so I expect most of the usually XI to start.
-
You found tickets then bro! Shed end? :blue scalf: OT, Petr has already completed his transition. Took about 5 selfies of the CS, yelled to Mert 'We beat them! I told you!' and cheered after the match with the Gooners. I hope we show no mercy in our next meeting, when the jetlag is gone and we're back up to speed. Why do our ex footballers always treat us like cunts?
-
Yes, but there are a few differences, pour exemple... Matic does not recirculate the ball as well as Busquets (and nor do I expect him to, as the person Barcelona disposed of to make room for him was one Yaya Toure.) and Fabregas is less mobile than Xavi was (Imo, he is somewhat a cross between Oscar and Cescy) hence why he was dropped once he lost his mobility and became liable to be exposed easily. Therefore in games when we will not need a bus breaker and we are going to be pressed Oscar would come in.
-
What's the worry, the Emirates Cup was a trophy too. It's a very glorified friendly, but even gooner fans wouldn't care if it wasn't the fact Petr saved their day, and Ramires' simply awful first half play. We missed Costa.
-
I was there. The better team did lose - Arsenal made us look like... Arsenal when they play Chelsea. For vast spells of the game we were in charge and if Oscar started I reckon we would have found a way through.
-
Looks like benching Oscar bit Jose in the arse in the end - he was fantastic once he came on. I think Cesc should be dropped if he can't play DLP. Matic-Oscar-Willian is more balanced jn big games.
-
I was at the game so positives at least... We thoroughly outsang Arsenal even when they scored, and we were far more respectful of Petr than they were of Cescy, who they booed as their players repeatedly kicked him to the ground. And well... That's it. Both teams were bang average and Hazard couldn't bail us out this time either. Cesc was hesitant. Oscar MOTM. He looked the best player on the pitch imo.
-
^^Mikel does those things fantastically. Should be our first choice DM then, obviously.
-
Benched. If you think Cahill-Terry is slow... I think he is great for a bench boy. Iva is going nowhere for at least one and likely 2 seasons. Therefore it makes sense to buy a 21 y o average player that could be good (imo I see a Cole-Azpi like situation, with Iva being the Cole and Baba being the Azpi), much like the Stones CB situation - Terry is going nowhere and buying a good young player who will either force Zouma to rot on the bench or he himself will rot there, because Terry has got 2-3 seasons left on the top, and his man management skills are invaluable, something that Stones-Cahill or Stones-Zouma cannot offer. The only difference is that one is a solution to a problem that does to exist and the other is.
-
He looks motivated, which is a good sign - if that tells us anything.
-
The whole squad will know how important it is to cane Arsenal, therefore pre season form is irrelevant. And contraire to what Jose says to the press, he will want to protect the psychological advantage of Wenger never beating him or scoring a goal against him, so he will be sure the team brings their A game. Therefore 3-0.
-
Being tactically inferior would not be a disadvantage if referees from UEFA allowed us to do physical play, but we are at a disadvantage because we are not allowed to impose a BPL style on La Liga opposition, we have to play by their rules.
-
And in what way is Zouma not been ready? He's been far more impressive than Stones - he should get his chance, because Terry is going nowhere in the medium term - there is simply no need for a CB right now.
-
I still don't see the reasoning behind this transfer... It all but ends the careers of Christensen, Zouma, Kalas and JCS here, and for what? So we can say we've got the next JT 'cos he's English and isn't rubbish?
-
I'll do it ....if you can trust me In all seriousness - WHS has surely got to be the main candidate.
-
He will play 45 mins on each team
-
Nah mate, membership basis - too far back on the queue to get one atm. I can go to every game via my supporters club, though, with good seats. Don't even need loyalty points unless it's an AA away game.
-
Lol mate didnt even pay a penny for thwem, my supporters club sent them out by accident! My ticket for the Swansea game which I did pay for is even better... Row 6 Shed lower!
-
Lol mate im in block 135 if thats near you?
-
3-0 at least Wenger's teams have always cracked under pressure and without their star man Sanchez, Oscar, Willian, Hazard and probably Costa since his hamstring seems ok will overrun them, with Cescy pulling the strings ofc.. Whereabouts are you seated?
-
Nobody leaves this place alive I'll miss you bro - had a fair few debates in the (relatively short) time I've been here! Anyway, all the best.
-
Certainly not.
-
He's on his wrong foot to cross. We could always move Terry to RCB along with Azpi and that would solve the problem and we use baba or x LB on the left, but Iva is going nowhere.
-
If we do it'll probably be 1, like it is for cat AA games. Don't know though.
-
Zouma should have no fear - he is one of Jose's boys now.
