  1. If we sack Mourinho and stick with the same squad, we are in way deeper shit then now. This can go to a lot worse than this if we pick wrong choices. If only players could be "sacked". I just don't think that manager has that much influence on our play, on our players and club in general as most of supporters do think. For Christ's sake, our players are not children! Mou this, Mou that, yadda yadda yadda. Talking so much about him, like he is the one playing on the field. You are player, you need bit of an instructions before some game, but THAT'S IT. Other things - you do on your own! You have your position, you don't need manager to tell you ALL the things you have to do. Maybe it's different with Mourinho, his image is way bigger than normal manager... But he is still human being. Normal, ordinary human being. I would maybe sack him for not having long-term potential, for disaster with full-backs, for his part in this insane summer transfer window (targeting impossible players), for buying wrong type of players etc. Surely not for "Hazard's not playing good because Mou defensive" (lol), surely not for "he sold all our good players and bought shits" (lol), surely not for "all attacking players are shit because of him" (lol). Bad performances of THIS squad, which is worldwide-recognized as top squad, are way way more on them, than on Mourinho.
  2. Carragher: "Either Mourinho leaves or a lot of these players have to go" Or why not both, at the end of the season. Costa, Fabregas and/or Oscar, Mikel/Ramires, Falcao, Ivanović.I'm 50 - 50 for Mourinho leaving, I see changes in squad way more important. Because I know there were times when we weren't so much dependable on coach. Hiddink arrived, Grant arrived, we played good. Di Matteo took us to UCL glory. Those are not so special managers. When a player is great - he is great. No matter who manager is, as long as he plays and plays in his own (or similar) position.
  3. Too unreliable. Way too unreliable. Everything-wise. Have no hope for him.
  4. We need to buy, and maybe even more importantly - we need to sell. Our squad is character-wise destabilized. Leaders - Terry Wannabe leaders - Ivanović At best decent characters, but not (yet) leaders or just too young (worth keeping) - Azpilicueta, Willian, Courtois, Pedro, Zouma, Cahill, Begović. Not good enough characters - 1 (with no or extremely little hope for them, players of questionable quality): Costa, Oscar, Fabregas 2 (with little bit more hope for them): Hazard, Matić These under the number "1" are first candidates for offload to me. Sell two of those three, buy three established, between 25-28 players with quality and balls.
  5. Wanted to write that he is Ramires on steroids, that he would not give us much in terms on attacking... But who really cares now? If he is man, if he can lead our midfield, if he can dominate, in any way he knows, would take him in a heartbeat. Essien was no much better in attack, and he was great too.
  6. We need men. Fuckin' men. Not boys. Leaders, not followers. Bring established, in best ages players, who are leaders. Sell boys, sell players with no character. Don't bring Stones, don't bring Pogba - you HAVE NO leaders in team to integrate these BOYS in with! If Hummels is leader - bring him! If Gundo is leader, hell yeah! Don't really actually care if player is 28-29 anymore.
  7. His problem is not "consistency". Playing good game once in a blue moon is not called problem with "consistency". When you play 5 games, 3 good and 2 bad, you can say that it is. He plays 1 good out of 5 games for two years now. That's called an average player. Who plays good based on circumstances, who depends on luck, who depends on every little detail. Just an average player. I don't even want to start on his attitude and being like a boy. Needs to be offloaded, with many else.
  8. My fellow countryman Badelj is not better than Pašalić, I'm afraid. Pašalić is also much younger.
  9. I think that too. But I don't think we need better. Not there. Because I don't think we can find something that much better. We need better in CMF positions, central defense, maybe in attack, in positions where we CAN and MUST get better. He has a lot of qualities, that's for sure. But lacks some important ones too, right. So, IMO, he is worth of our first XI, and then... Improve his lack of certain abilities somewhere else. Buy box-to-box who can be productive in front of goal, either with passes or goals. Get striker who can score when given the chance (if Costa continues like this), etc. Tweak the team, Willian is worth it.
  10. That's quite a huge blow, especially if we get PSG/Juventus.
  11. Maybe. But only after 3 years at Atletico. And in last 2 years in Atletico he was already considered top 5 gk in the world.
  12. Don't agree that he is (much) better than Pedro, I don't think Pedro is doing that bad with us. Don't know about Douglas Costa, he is at Bayern, in Bundesliga, so there's that. I'm sure our Willian is better than that Douglas Costa. The way I see it... Hazard - Willian - Pedro combo plays ok. They just need someone upfront to chip in with goals, and more protection from behind (yes Fabregas - Matić, looking at you).
  13. So many goals in EPL, and he is only 22. Gonna be proper EPL legend. Can't see him moving outside Premier league tbh, he is well suited for this league.
  14. This comparison reminds me of Van Der Sar/Čech comparison.
  15. If I recall correctly, Schurrle was winger/second striker who always had nose for goal and made those runs behind defense, scoring goals with his good scoring ability (like THAT goal assisted by Fabregas at start of last season). Maybe not for us, but before that. So, maybe I'm wrong on Schurrle, yes, but not on Griez Griez, I know what a player he is.
  16. I think he was decent in last game. 6/10, or 6.5/10 performance.
  17. To you who wants him at Valencia... That paid off with Courtois. But, tbh, we were very lucky things sorted out in that way. We could've easily lost Courtois, too. Thibo was patient and calmed. But look at Salah, or I don't know. What if RLC one day decides not to come back, because in other club they treated him properly? It's just sad to see him benched, and likes of Fabregas and Oscar playing.
  18. One main problem with him is that you never know what you can expect of him. Form-wise, behavior-wise, questionable-quality-wise, attitude-wise. You just never know with him. In my eyes, he is a big risk. If only he had enough quality to prove that risk profitable for squad. ... Good strikers plays great when team plays great. Great strikers plays great when all others are shit.
  19. Yes, but is he that much of an upgrade on Pedro? I don't think so. Is that worth 30 millions? I don't think so.
  20. He is no striker, don't fool yourself. He is Schurrle on steroids.
  21. Remy should've played instead of Oscar and Azpi instead of Ivanović. I said that before match, at half time, and now after match. It's just so easy to see. In first half we created decent number of chances, which we at the end often crossed from wings... To who? In second half Costa came in, but Ivanović then took things in his hands... We all know how that finishes. I'm sure Remy would convert one of those crosses, and Azpi would not be horrible as Brana in attack. Pure logic. We have too much creative players at the moment, and no one who really can convert those chances. Oscar should be dropped for good, Remy should be given chances. And yes... Why, for a love of God, would Ivanović play in place of Azpi? One tall player more? Against 19th team? Really? What's use of that? Fuck logic.
  22. Where would he play in our XI? In place of Willian, Hazard or Pedro? EDIT: Maybe I'll take him in, but for rotation. He should no way be even close to our priorities this January.
  23. Modrić, Kroos, Isco, Kovačić, James... Maybe, but only if they sell Modrić or Isco. Modrić because he is not so young, Isco because he might ask for more regular playing time somewhere else. There are a lot great CMF-s these days. Barca/Real/City can't get them all. Gundogan, Pogba, Koke,...
  24. Our policy is to give 30+ players one-year extension. Cahill is 29 (contract to 33 - another English CB John Terry had season of his life at 34). All good. Congrats!
  25. You know it all. Gundogan, Pogba, Koke, Witsel please. Even Dembele. One good box-to-box would do miracles for our team.
