If Conte can make midfield Kante - Fabregas - Barkley work, he is genius. Kante - Bakayoko - Barkley isn't that much of an improvement on the Kante - Bakayoko - Fabregas. Kante - Fabregas - Barkley would be significant improvement. Maybe we would lose some of defensive strength, but we would gain massively going forward.

Lampard had 0.16 goals per game ratio at West Ham, moved to Chelsea as 23-yo (Barkley is 24). Don't know if Ross will be good for us, but that statistic doesn't mean much to me. In his best season Barkley scored 12 goals in 48 games, hope he can replicate something like that.

Every action, that is self-defense, I approve. Just don't initiate the attacks like some do.

Lampard was one of the most durable players on the field, his stamina was in range of Kante's, God knows what would his career look like without it. So please stop comparing those two just because both had powerful shoot.

One thing is for sure - he will provide us with more goals than Fabregas or Willian.

He is doing that maybe in a more blatant way because most of fans are like "ahh, it's ok, better this than nothing, not bad..." We are club which is failing in the TM year after year, and of course in player quality of our team. Investing in Milinkovic-Savic or Atletico's Saul pursuit and waiting until the summer if needed would be better, yes. That's what the top club will do. Now we only need some players not to get embarrassed in UCL, nothing more. Top 3 is ours, this way or another. But... I guess we got used to signings like this, and bringing Barkley for 15m is better than bringing Bakayoko.

Sounds too good to be true. But now is the best period to do it - Real or someone won't go for him in winter. There are no distractions.

It's ok. But for the same reason we don't bash Azpi, Kante or Hazard harshly when they under-perform we shouldn't bash Conte very harsh and cut him some slack. Because Azpi, Kante, Hazard, I would say Courtois too, along with Conte, have done some really great stuff in last couple of years and months. I say we should aim our criticism mostly on our consistent under-performers.

I know, but Drogba redeemed himself. And JFH never played in such strong Chelsea, that's why I rate him so much. Still think of both as top strikers.

Only top striker Chelsea had in last 15 years, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, is Didier Drogba. Before him JFH. Diego Costa is mentioned only because Morata did what he did in last weeks.

Well, I rate this team a tad higher than 2012-2014 team. Better coach, somewhat better players, more consistency. Also, let's not forget about Kante who brings us much more midfield control than Ramires and 32-yo Lampard.

We were creating chance after chance, but didn't convert any. Can't see that being Conte's fault... Yes, he could've replace Bakayoko and so on, but those are minor things compared with others, I would say.

I compared Morata to Torres some time ago, but that was a bit harsh. He is not as bad as Torres. But he is not far from that. Torres also played in a much worse and unstable Chelsea, I would say. Morata is sure getting more chances, not just because of his movement, but because he plays with prime Hazard and Azpi-the-Spanish-David-Beckham on the right... also with Fabregas, the pass master.
