10 months? But why didn't the board help him to fix the issues in the summer?
The playes dropped in form and we had the same points as City on 1 January, but still this "bad" manager lead us to the double. I doubt any other manager could change things so quickly and still end the season with 2 trophies.
A EPL+COC double is still a double. Would not change anything on here though, the moaners will still moan.

Some of you guys are actually so fickle its actually fucking annoying me. He played well tofsy, in no way shape or form was the result hid fault, the amount of times I saw him on the ball with no one making a run was astounding

Maybe I'll get burned for this but again, Cesc wasn't bad imo. In fact, he was even better. The best attacking player in possession in the first half. Willian really came alive in the second half. He moved into good positions and most of what he did was positive and came off. Maybe I need a tinfoil hat.
But I understood the sub. He lacks speed and mobility and that was needed after trailing and playing with 10 men.

I'm starting to think we need to change, I haven't fully shifted yet but if/when I do, I stay changed.
But unlike most people on here, I will still respect him for being the best manager in the club's history and what he has done.

Still don't think he should be sacked by the way, anyone else? Lol

With Cesc out of form it's going to be even worse in the coming weeks. He's practically doing 5 separate roles this season. The lack of structure or build up play in this team is mind-boggling. Guardiola would've lost his mind yesterday. Hazard has to do our midfielders jobs for them, take on 2/3 defenders because our fullbacks don't overlap, drift infield into the pockets to assume the role of a #10 and then we wonder why he isn't scoring goals.
Difference between now and last season is he was virtually unplayable especially in that 2nd half now he's average (by his standards) Mourinho's rudimentary system and outdated tactics have been woefully exposed. GIve it to Hazard and hope for the best no longer works.

I don't understand how some of you start doubting Hazards ability so quickly - I've seen people call him a big game bottler, but were they saying that when we played Man City away 13 - 14, PSG last season, Arsenal way at the start of 14-15, Sunderland 13-14 (which was a crucial game if I remember correctly)? He`s had some huge performances for us, and I don`t really understand the comparisons with Bale (whos was mediocre all throughout last season) and Reus (who is a completely different player, he wouldn't offer us the creative outlet that we get with Hazard). in my opinion Hazard is one of the top 7-8 players in the world and if he were to leave would be near impossible to replace unless we got Robben (short term solution) or Neymar (would cost 120m at least).
why?

As if Reus would want to come here seeing Hazard leave to pursue attacking football
Quite shocked at the number of people turning their back on a player who's been instrumental for 3 years after a 2 month blip in form.

Only for more than Bale. Hazard cost a lot of money to begin with and if he doesn't sell for at least Bale's cost than the club have been played like fools. If Tottenham can milk the money, Cheslea should be able too.
As for the aforementioned swap of Hazard and Bale, I'd want 'January to August 2013' Bale, not this current clown that is decent for Real Madrid.

Why are you guys making the assumption Reus or Isco would want to join Chelsea?
I am honestly wondering why everyone always overlook the player preference in these situations. I asked in the summer on the Pogba thread, while everyone was focused on Juve no wanting to sell. But equally valid perspective was Pogba destination preference, you have to ask if the player would want to join Chelsea rigid system under Mourinho. Does a player want to join a club where the manager on numerous occasion has criticized his team best attacking player on his defending.
I personally cannot fathom Isco or Reus would want to join Chelsea and become a second full back. Until Mourinho is in charge we will have a hard time attracting top players like Isco or Reus.

Chelsea win overshadowed by Jose Mourinho's choice to drop Eden Hazard
Nail. On. Head.
This is a massive understatement but Mourinho really does baffle people with the things he say. We won yesterday - our first win in nearly a month IIRC - and he could have just let that be the headline. But no. He had to go and criticize Hazard for his lack of defensive work when asked why he was on the bench. Could have just said he was rested, he's been playing poorly (which is true) etc but instead, he had to cause some sort of controversy and give the media ammunition to write negative stories about the club.
Some might argue that he's challenging Hazard to improve himself but he really could have just done that by talking him to privately. There's no need to say those things in the public! I'm not optimistic that Hazard will stay with us for a long time but if we lose him because he cannot stand Mourinho's constant criticism about his defending - which is mostly unfair when you see the likes of Ivanovic, Fabregas etc have gotten away with it - then Mourinho seriously has plenty to answer. We have a player with the potential to be the best in the world but he's being criticized and held back from becoming better because of defensive work.

We're 5 points off top 4, i don't think it's impossible, other teams will lose points down the road, we just have to keep up the results at least, if not the form.

You might be onto something there, RLC is the closest thing we have to ballack. But I hate fabregas in the attacking midfield,he can't move or press so we should play him like how Juventus played Pirlo
vidal Pirlo pogba
Matic fabregas RLC
Pirlo like fabregas was poor defensively, especially when he was 33-34years but vidal and pogba did the dirty work for him.But this won't work properly if we don't have proper full-back play interchanging from the wings.

I'm actually looking forward to our next game and everyone knows I'm incredibly pessimistic & cynical of our team. With Ivanovic's injury & Jose insisting RLC will get a run of starts we're finally going to see some new faces in the team who'll play with that youthful exuberance we're so sorely lacking.
For the first time since 09/10 Ashley Cole we'll have a massive attacking threat down that left flank & I'm excited to see if he and Hazard can form a little partnership together.
He was getting criticism after both games but I saw a fullback routinely getting into promising positions and unlike Azpi/Ivanovic delivering several accurate & crisp crosses into the box. With more familiarity, patience & confidence I really think he can become our own Carvajal, Alaba, Shaw, Bellerin, Shaw etc
I also think RLC will offer us something different in a midfield that's been virtually non-existent so far. Obviously he isn't the finished article yet but unlike our 4 other midfielders he has no glaring weakness in his game. The best attributes of Matic (physicality), Cesc (creativity), Ramires (drive) and Mikel (close control) he has it all in his arsenal. I also think Jose's criticism in the off-season did wonders for his off the ball work, he's expanding more energy tracking players & making more challenges. He still has to work on his stamina & engine but I've liked what I've seen so far.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=deT8QhK9GSwMaccabi was a 10/10 performance.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKND_NOs1C4 He was more subdued in this game but still a solid game and a World Class assist to boot. Costa will return from suspension with a point to prove & we'll start to see the best player in the League again once chill mode is deactivated. Cesc is the only wild card for me, he's been woeful but do you really want to drop the most creative player not named Messi when you're struggling to create clearcut chances. I say we stick with him for another game to see if he can play his way out of his bad form and offer him as much protection as possible with RLC, Matic, Azpi & Willian. I hope we go 433 Azpi Cahill Zouma BabaMaticCesc RLCWillian Costa Hazard -

As a club we have never done stability you just have to accept it as a Chelsea fan. Since Dave Sexton left in 1974 only two managers have been at the club four years John Neal and Ranieri. That vote of confidence is basically the Sword of Damocles so expect change pretty soon. How many more defeats and piss performances is Mourinho away from the sack?. Not many. Close battling losses ok. But if we have a repeat of the Southampton debacle then he's gone.
