I have seen multiple warnings you have given to ''didierforever'' in the last couple of days. So decided to speak out before you ban one of your best international forum members. Please don't put ''jakstone'' and ''didierforever'' in the same bracket. - didierforever is one of your best and frequent posters on here. Yes he is colorful, has a strong character and often gets into a long debate with others, but he often supports his opinion with facts like links to other websites and keeps the debate about Chelsea ONLY. I can't remember him starting to personally insult people, but I do remember some people insulting him because of his nationality, and he reacted calmly, instead of turning it into a ''your mama'' fight. - the other guy ''jakstone'' aka ''SUCKMYDICKPSG'' is probably one of the most childish member on here. He joined like in March? If there was a ''worst new member'' he'd win it by a mile. Just check the Turan thread, Pedro thread, Willian thread. Just check how many people dislikes his posts and you see what I mean. He constantly provoke and insult others, me for example, he just randomly quoted my name a few times and tried to provoke me. I was not interested, so just let it go. But not everyone is the same, especially didierforever .

I really like the idea of buying Witsel. Anyone remember Luiz-Matic? We were rock solid in midfield in big games, Witsel-Matic could even be better. Both players have some decent abilities going forward and are reliable holders on their own.
-
We clearly had some weaknesses last season, and none of them are solved till now: 1 lack of strength and pace in center midfield 2 over reliance on Hazard & Diego for goals 3 no squad depth (trusted bench players) 1. Witsel or Aranguiz could solve problem 1 for us. Ramires is the best option untill we have found someone better, but playing him there reduces the ability to control and build the game. I actually hope we sign both players to solve problem 3. 2. Pedro, Griezmann, Reus are scoring AM's but only Pedro seems to be likely. For now, playing Remy on the wing is a temporary option for this problem. So I really hope we don't sell Remy. 3. I honestly don't understand why Moses is here, will Jose trust him? If we have a bench with Moses, RLC, Cuadrado and Mikel next season, we already know our first 11 will be over played (again). Falcao for DD is an improvement in depth though. And hopefully we can find a trusted LB when Luis leaves. So I hope: - LB: find a reliable Luis replacement if he leaves. - CM/CDM: Witsel/Aranguiz or both if Mikel leaves. - AM: buy Pedro, only keep 1 of Moses/Cuadrado. - ST: keep Remy.

Damn...another missed chance

Never played on the right side? I might be wrong but: Villa - Messi - Pedro They named them "the tripple MVP" right? Also last 2 seasons, I saw a lot of: Neymar - Messi - Pedro

seems you're quoting FCMarseille @FCMarseille But isn't 5.7M too much?
-
I agree with both of you 2. Yes, I am not super excited with Pedro but this stop gap signing is better than not signing anyone because he offers something we don't have: another goal scoring AM. Willian, Cuadrado, Oscar are not clinical enough in front of goal. Remy might be leaving and won't start as a winger, Falcao maybe but don't think Mou will start with 2 strikers. Hazard and Costa are the only goal scorers in any starting line up, (if you don't count Ivanovic) and that's not enough. We need at least 3 to be a contender for all comps. Pedro does not have to start every match, but if he does start, you know you have another dangerous man in the box, that's something we're lacking since we sold Schurrle.
-
Just my opinion, Barcelona was always looking for a complete star of a player in his position: one who can dribble, who can score goals, creates chances for themselves etc.. Pedro was always known for his ability to score goals, this has not changed, but he was never a great individual player. Pedro relies on his team mates while Barca wanted more players like Messi who can decide a match with their own individual action. That's why they signed Alexis and Neymar, (not sure why they thought Alexis was not good enough) and later Suarez. All 3 MSN players can create chances for others and for themselves, can dribble past 4-5 players and score goals. So that's why he wasn't starting as many matches as before. But this doesn't mean Pedro is not a good player, he is a limited player but very useful and superb at what he does: scoring goals. He would be like an improved version of Schurrle for us.

Pedro is a natural goalscorer, he has over 10 goals in all competition since 2009-2010 season. 09-10 23 goals 10-11 22 goals 11-12 13 goals 12-13 10 goals 13-14 19 goals 14-15 11 goals 30m Euro's (21.5m GBP) is a good price in the current market. If we can't sign another WC winger, he would be a very good addition.
-
2 of them would already be a good window, let alone 3...
-
He has a point though. At some point we had these players at the same time: Bosingwa, Alex, Cole, Makalele?, Mikel, Essien, Anelka, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda. Edit: Didn't people call us "the black stars" or something like that at that time ?
-
Nope, it's a cycle.1) People like U overhype Oscar too much. (After an overall average season) 2) People then discuss he wasn't very good, inconsistent etc, away in the second half of the season for 3 seasons in a row. 3) Then U guys disagree, saying he was better than Willian bla bla, just check stats! (Which is clearly not true) 4) Then the majority here agree he should do better and improve. Or we should just replace him with someone better, if we want to reach the next level (CL winning) 5) Then Oscar's crew will defend him with: young age, world class potential, high lights like back heels, freekicks etc. 6) And this will trigger people like me, who are not happy with all the praise when he was NOT that good for us for 3 seasons long. And then we will come back with facts: bad games, dropped in big games. 7) Then Oscar's crew come with excuses like fatigue (which is true). But refuse to admit he's not good enough for us as all these praise is based on potential. If you guys weren't overhyping him that much, many of us won't be bashing him that much. Praise him when he deserves it, but also criticize him when he deserves it.

Yeah 100M but in Euro's, which is £72M. Raiola said something like that.

Rewatched the long highlights (*big recommend) that supporter posted some pages ago. I really like this guy and think we miss this type of character in midfield. - In the defense we have JT, Azpi, Ivanovic as warriors. - At the front 4 we have lord Diego to lead the crew. But in midfield last season, I felt we missed some "hot head". Someone with big character like Ballack. Our midfield was too shy in many games, yes Matic is big but a shy guy. I thought Ramires could do this, but he might not be the perfect long term option. That's why I've been screaming for someone like Vidal. One could help the build up play, score goals but is also not shy to put in a nasty tackle like Vidal/Alonso/Mascherano. I won't pretend I know him well, but based on the videos and Copa, I really like him. Please Chelsea, sign him up, 10-15 Euro's is nothing nowadays!
-
Let's forget the term "world class" cause I think it's a subjective term. Some would say Benzema/Cavani is a world class striker but some people will say "No it's just because there are not many world class strikers in this football period, compare him with Brazil Ronaldo and we will see what real world class is." So let's say for Alexis's position, a winger. How many players are better than him currently in the world? Does he belong to the top 5 players of his position? Robben, Eden, (Ronaldo), Messi, are the only players who are CLEARLY better than him. Neymar, Reus, Alexis and some others are in the next bracket. So top 5 maybe, top 10 for sure.
-
Finally some good news. Now keep Remy, buy Aranguiz and a goalscoring AM and we are set.
-
Saved me some work here, wanted to post the same thing.
-
Could he be the solution for us in big games? Aranguiz-Matic Cesc
-
Yeah never felt realistic, great young spanish player, fans favorite, super talented and very marketable. New coach at Madrid also means new chances for players like Varane and Isco.
-
Hmm one big signing per season it seems, something of the Ozil and Alexis caliber. Cavani/Benzema/Higuain as strikers. Or Vidal as the midfielder.
-
Now keep Remy and the strikers department is done. Welcome El Tigre!
-
Alex Song, Enner Valencia, Falcao and Begovic.
-
Definitely an upgrade on the situation. One is a world class goal keeper, unhappy on the bench and will always leave. The other one is a top goalkeeper who decided to be a back up and is happy with it. Plus is HG and has a good age (problem solved for many seasons, unlike Schwarzer who was 40. )

180K? Maybe in Euro's, which is £128K.
