There is much need. Much need indeed. Liverpool fans have to be the most annoying, entitled bunch of twats to exist. A little dose of this reality would serve them well if they weren't so delusional.
-
I think he's forever trying to get back on Liverpool's good side after his days at United. Still, you can't be that incredibly biased. You have to be subtle with it.

It's the mesh of the new Nike template. It's not horribly noticeable on the pitch and the replicas don't have them It's still better than those horrible lions all over this years shirt.
-
Surprised at how good this looks.
-
It won't. Their shirt sales are horrible compared to the other big clubs in England. The reason we're getting a good deal from Nike is because we sell so many shirts.
-
Their business decisions have been magnificent, and that's what the board specializes in. On the football side however...

Mourinho First Coming - I came in at the tail end, but knowing everything that happened the seasons before: 9/10. He established Chelsea as one of the best teams in Europe, but didn't get a Champions League while he was here. Avram - I'm not exactly sure all that he actually did while he was manager, but judging from results: 8/10. We come so close to winning the Champions League. Scolari - 4/10. Zonal marking... Hiddink First Coming - 9/10. One loss (albeit to Spurs) and some horrible calls away from getting to the Champions League final. Ancelotti - 8/10. A great season followed by an acceptable (to me) season. AVB - 5/10. Better than Scolari, but the fallout of him vs. the old guard was probably the second-lowest point of the Abramovich era. Di Matteo - 7/10. I'll never forget the change in mentality after AVB left; how Di Matteo solidified the team and gave them a mentality to win the Champions League, but the start of the 2012/13 season was disappointing. Rafa Benitez - 7/10. On the pitch, the team was good, but I hate him and the attitude he had towards the club. Mourinho Second Coming - 6/10. A fairly good first season followed by a great second season ending with a disastrous third season. Hiddink Second Coming - 6/10. He came in and "steadied the ship" but the results didn't improve by much, and the Champions League and FA Cup runs were pretty poor.

Those lions are horrible, but on the pitch, you can't see them and the kits look great.
-
Meanwhile, we've still got a season with Adidas left. The ladies debuted the new kit today. Like I figured, from a distance, you can't see the lions and it actually looks decent. http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/gemma-davison-of-chelsea-ladies-in-action-during-the-sse-womens-fa-picture-id531353468

Barca win La Liga again. For as much as I hate Barca, I hate Real more.
-
Not to mention one of the big issues with Suarez was the media attention he was receiving in England after all his issues. He didn't just want out of Liverpool, he wanted out of England. There was no way he was going to another English team for any amount of money.
-
FFS, I hate Hull City. Not sure why.
-
Sheffield Wednesday defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 in the first leg.

I don't think they're any lower. I just think that the top of our sponsorship stretches further across the chest than the others. The top of the Chevrolet logo is probably in line with ours, it's just the bulk of the logo is further down than the bulk of ours. Same goes for the Jeep. The top of the J looks to be about the same height, it's just the rest of the logo is lower than the top. Think of it this way: If the Tyres was on top of Yokohama, our logo would look lower.
-
Liverpool were being ridiculed over Warrior, because people hate Liverpool. The same would happen to us. But if we were to get Under Armour and that season win the Premier League, I don't think people would perceive it as a loss in stature, especially when there's a possibility that we could be still be the top selling shirt in the country and have the largest kit contract.
-
Probably a mockup from a couple years ago, back when we had Samsung. There won't be anything real 8-10 months. When a deal is struck, we'll know who will be the manufacturer. Shop owners will have an idea of what the kits will look like about 6 months before they go on sale. Around then is when we may start to see leaks, but there won't be anything official until (I'm guessing) mid-summer next year. When the Samsung deal ran out, we had to wait a few extra months for the official unveiling of the first Yokohama kit.

This is going one of two ways. He is either staying or he told the board to sod off pissed them off.
-
Wonder where we would rank without Hazard.

Right now, Nike and Adidas are no doubt the top two brands, but Nike used to be a nothing brand in football. It wasn't until recently that they gained the prestige they have today. That was due to sponsorships of big players, big clubs, and the money to afford to be able to have revolutionary products. UA has been doing this in the United States and potentially has the money to attempt this worldwide. You know those compression shirts that players are all of a sudden wearing under their kits? UA made that popular. It takes time for a brand to establish themselves, but if there's one brand that has a great chance at breaking this Nike/Adidas thing, it's UA. I don't like their kits and hope we get Nike, but to assume that us signing with UA has the same impact as us signing with a company like Errea is completely false and completely stupid. UA have the money and they have the potential to break into the market.
-
Nike makes the NFL's uniforms Nike sold Umbro off a few years ago after taking a few of the teams.
-
I was listening to a podcast where the hosts talked to a shop owner here in the US. I don't know how it is around the rest of the world, but he said Manchester City shirts are the least popular of the "big clubs". Perhaps their success on the pitch isn't translating to success in shirt sales.
-
What has this club done to make you think they don't value money over anything else? I don't think people think any less of Arsenal since they switched to Puma. Maybe for footballing reasons but not because of their kit sponsor.
-
Believe me, I'm not excited for Under Armour either, but it could be worse. Just imagine this in Chelsea blue with a Chelsea badge. It'd be much better than the shit we're getting next season.
