IMO, Cesc or Matic should be dropped for someone to provide adequate cover, especially with ramires injured.

I think they are both similar. Cristiano has the edge in the air, but Bale is a better passer/crosser. I think Bale is faster as well. Bale would allow Benzema to score more as well and let RM function better as a team imo.

Give Bale the fk responsibilities and Cristiano role on RM. I would bet Bale come close to his goal record. Bale to me is a better team player than Cristiano and when Cristiano leaves and Bale becomes number1 in madrid, he will be winning the baloon d'ors.

Cristiano doesnt have good technique or first touch. He makes runs, but with his lack of explosion/pace, those runs will be less effective. He's shot is really not that good or accurate.

Cms never get the glory of a striker.... Essien never really came back after his injuries, even though like Torres, I hoped one day he could.

His pace is his primary weapon. No pace, means no explosions, means no vertical jump, meaning no goals, unless he gets 15 pks a season. Cristiano is a pace player as is bale and was torres/owen. Once they lose that pace, it goes downhill. Neymar is a pace player, but he's dribbling ability is world class as well, so his decline might not be as dramatic.

Because Torres use to be one of the best players in the world........

IMO, the best defenders were from the generation prior to Messi/Cristiano's time... If you consider la Liga, the best defenders at their time are ramos, pique, and aging puyol, pepe, etc.

Real Madrid always beats small teams 10-0 and Cristiano usually scores 4 goals in those games.....
