At least i think he should stop this double pivot tho and use a straight 3 along the middle. He can use Lampard, Mikel and Ramires with the 2 wingers and the striker which would still work well imo but i'd like to see Sturridge up front. This is his type of game.

They have a very good team now Zenit, they could be a real force. They have Milan, Malaga and Anderlecht and i'd expect them qualify and maybe even to win the group. Wouldn't wanna face them tbh. Strong team. Also have Kerzhakov and Danny and Alves at the back. Dangerous.

Romeu and Mikel would need some time but if we are gonna carry on with this horrible formation, we need 2 genuine CDMs and they are. Lampard can play some games there and maybe even some as the number 10 (against weaker sides of course).

Meireles is simply a CM, not a CDM or a CAM, he's a CM. He can defend a bit and he can attack a bit but he's pretty shite at both if i'm honest. He's your basic 'runner' who has energy and a decent passer. He's your 7/10 every week midfielder. Has a good shot on him tho but like Essien, 9/10 fly over the stand, 1 might fly in.

It's overtaken the the French and Portuguese leagues because of the recent influx of money. There are toooooo many rich Russians. Not delighted or pissed off he's gone. Good squad player and was great for us last season in Europe. Thanks Raul, glad you've freed up space for Piazon and Romeu. Maybe even Chalobah could get some games as a CDM in some cups because he does that role well and can play double pivot. This is good but maybe not the greatest timing.

We need Atletico to have a shit season if he's not coming in Jan. They need to be finishing outside of the UCL places again. But saying that, he's nothing without the service. I don't think he woulda been any better than Torres last Friday simply because we were shit as a whole team. Atletico were better than us all over the pitch.

There are many Chelsea fans on here, around Chelsea and around the world that are desperate for Torres to do well but the fact is i reckon honestly 100% of us know that the transfer has been a disaster even if they say different and try and deny it. I love him and the way he plays and some of the goals he's scored in his career but i look back and wish we never signed him. I think it's inevitable that if Falcao comes, Torres will be offered in exchange. Maybe £30m + Torres. I'd accept it right now if i'm honest.

Crazy that he's a big fan of Chelsea. Why did AVB not get him last season when he'd already coached him? It's a weird one. why and how did Atletico beat us to him. this Torres transfer is proving more of a disaster than meets the eye.
