  1. It's a big game anyway and we don't often play too well at home to these lot but as Man Utd go to Eastlands the same night, we HAVE to win because we could be back to 5 points if City win. Forget today, it'd done, write it off. Time to look forward to wednesday
  2. We were never gonna win this game, especially with the team we had but all credit for the 2nd half display, i thought we were really good in the 2nd half and with more luck, we would've got something. just wish we did that in the first half. This was Liverpool's day though to be fair, you just knew it would be. But fuck em, last season they were in a similar run and they played Man Utd and won 2-0. Remember the run they went on after that game? All is not lost, we're still top of the league and if Man City win on wednesday against Utd, we're 5 points clear again if we win. There's ups, there's downs, this is a down but look at the league table. Who would u rather be right now, us or Liverpool?
  3. I don't get why Yuri is always down the pecking order, he's a real quality player and although i think Kakuta will be great, he's not ready yet to start these kinds of games. Yuri destroyed Villa at the bridge last season, winning 2 penalties where he woulda probably scored. He's quick, has quick feet and lots of class. I'd play him right now, and he can play an array of positions to an extremely high standard. He was good when he came on, Kakuta was really nervous.
  4. Defo happy with the draw, we don't do well there and i remember how pissed off i was after the game there last season. Losing is gutting and ruins every weekend. Happier even more-so because of Reo Cokers late miss. 5 points clear, still been top since matchday 1 and enjoying it. 1 point gained, NOT 2 points dropped!
  5. We should win it on the basis of the 2 teams this season and Villa are pretty average right now but tbh i think it'll be a draw. We won there in 09 with a great Anelka winner in Guus' first game in charge but that's basically it in 12 years. We lost there last season awfully so I'd probably take a draw now but really we should win this game. This will prove to be 'one of those games'. I can just see it.
  6. Arsenal have loads of injuries: Almunia (Elbow) Bendtner (Groin) Fabregas (Hamstring) Gibbs (Calf) Ramsey (Broken Leg) Van Persie (Ankle) Walcott (Ankle) Vermaelen (Achilles) Diaby is doubtful (Ankle) Look at those names, they are like Arsenals only good players. If we dont win today, we have missed a monumental chance to go clear. We could give arsenal a right going over later. 3-0
  7. You don't need to sarcastically talk about me, i'm talking about kalou, no spam, on topic, my opinion so keep your silly comments in your head instead of trying to be funny.
  8. Opinions obviously don't count for much here. At the end of the day, Kalou is like an Everton, Villa, Birmingham level player. He scores against shit teams or when we're already 2-0 or 3-0 up. In the big matches he has absolutely no impact at all. He scored a couple of important goals, 1-1 home to man utd (4 yards out free header from shocking defending) and at the san siro against inter (Taxi for Cesar) but he's clearly and consistently not good enough for us and doesn't bring much to the team when its needed. Oh and he scored 2 virtual open goals against Wigan too, come on.... He's NOT world class, his finishing is shocking and he's not going to get any better.
  9. Not a bad draw and tbh i think we can beat them with kids anyway. It's the Carling Cup, who actually gives a toss anyway? 2 priorities, Premiership, Champions League. Anything else is just more games and more fatigue and well.... less chance of winning the champions league. I'd rather us get knocked out the 3rd round every year unless of course we actually use our kids.
  10. Kingstonian for me, always looked for their results, have a good little history, hope they can come up to the Blue Square Premier again soon. I live just down the road, half hour walk so watched a few games when bored lol and also i went to a match or 2 of theirs when i lived in Epsom. Chelsea reserves used to play there too and we had lots of pre season matches with them in the 90's to early 2000's Family and i have always been Chelsea though, 100% blue. European wise i always look out for Ajax, PSG and Borussia Dortmund's results.
  11. sorry that i couldn't buy it for ya, glad steve has helped u out, money has been so tight for me lately its ridiculous but hope you have success getting the ticket. You can use my membership whenever ya like, i'll only go to Carling cup, FA Cup and Champions League games this season so any league game, just buzz me and i'll confirm u can use it (this goes for anyone here). Best of luck
  12. Really sad to hear this too. Went to Chelsea vs QPR last season and he was absolutely outstanding, best player on the pitch. Gutting, he coulda been a true world class defender.
  13. Its still dodgy, we score amazingly at home, just sometimes away from home we look a bit dodgy. Lost some really stupid games last season under Carlo. Maybe lessons will be learned.
  14. Nigel De Jong in this kinda dream team is a nightmare, this dream team is about goals mainly because 'basic' displays earn fuck all points. Thats why Mascherano never scored sod all for 3 years although his status and commanding displays Just joined the league btw, bit late but oh well. Goals, pick penalty takers , goalscoring defenders and great assisting wingers. Most peoples tip = Just pick Rooney, Drogba and Lampard with loads of shit
  15. i actually like it, its a great move for him and i don't mind it at all, he wouldn't be able to go any higher. Football is just a job at the end of the day. So many players go to rivals, it's just how it is. Poyet Gudjohnsen Cudicini Gallas even Jimmy Greaves, Jason Cundy, Mickey Hazzard and maybe more EX Chelsea & Yids, i don't really care too much because it's sweeter when we do the yids 3-0 at WHL.
  16. Dodgy game, specially after Wigan lost on that very same pitch, at home to Blackpool 4-0 and lost against us 8-0 on the last day of last season. That wigan team will be hurting big time atm. We need to stay professional unlike there last season and just get the job done. 1-0 suits me big style.
  17. It's actually quite worrying, i know its only pre season but we really tried to win yesterday and we put a strong team out. We went into challenges hard and it didn't really seem like a friendly to me. The defence and the goalkeeping for the 3rd game in a row was absolutely awful and altho its pre season, the players looked quite pissed off to me coming off at the end of each game. I miss us winning 7-0 like what the mancs are doing, altho against shit, it gets em in a goiod frame of mind going into the community shield. We look a bit weak and tbh we dont look very good. Hopefully its a blessing in disguise and they are good things for pre season to make sure we keep focus.
  18. Theres for that link, it was doing my head in lol especially as some sites suggested it kicked off at 3. Cheers, hopefully we play well with some big guns back.
  19. So much complaining lol. Joe Cole had a whole host of clubs interested in him and he joined one that is in debt and came 7th and who have a Europa League Qualifier in like 2 weeks He was never the same since his injury suffered in the USA and then at Southend in the FA Cup. He was always gonna leave us and join a rival club We have plenty of midfielders and wingers, if Kakuta gets a chance (big if), he will be better than Joe Cole given he plays a few games and finally gets a chance, he was excellent in the under 19 euro's the other day against Holland. Took his goal very confidently. We have a very good squad that doesn't need fucking about with, we nearly threw the league away because of some silly results and losing Essien and Ashley Cole for large periods. They are both fit. We won the fucking double, not like we came 4th! We have very talented youth players (youth cup winners 2010, finalists 2008). Dont be 2 faced, you're all dying to see the youth, yet u want us to spend fortunes on superstars. You can't have it both ways. Save the money, bring up the youth, keep the base of the squad with minor improvements and everything's fine. No need for anything drastic at all. Where's the weakness? there's not much weakness in our squad at all if any.
  20. I love the kit, really nice and very different. The colours go well together and i'll definitely be getting that shirt, it's lovely.
  21. I genuinely believe Benayoun is a quality player, i always thought that at West Ham and even moreso at Liverpool, a tp 4 club really (Although i'll never forget his miss at the Bridge last season). I know 100% that he'll be excellent for us.
  22. I'm confused at the reaction tbh, i'm actually very happy he's signed because i think he is world class and the type of midfieler we need at Chelsea regardless of age. This age stuff is annoying because he's still good enough and 30 is a very good peak age nowadays. We'll have him from when he's 30-33 thats hardly old. Man Utd still play Giggs and Scholes and they still prove year in, year out that if u stay fit, u can play upto any age you want and man utd have always done it. Sherringham and Giggs both got player of the year in their late 30's because they were still good enough. We've been dying for that tricky kind of midfielder who has a bit of flair and can score goals without just relying on lampard to bag goals from there. Fuck age, he will prove to be a great signing for the few years we have him and the main factor is that he's premiership proven and in a big team too. Liverpool used him awfully last season and look what happened to them. Yossi has energy to burn, can't question his fitness at all.
  23. Offsides and goal line appeals would be so easy. i just dont understand what the problem is. It dont matter how long the game stops as long as the 'right' result is made. The time added on wont be that much and there will only be like 2 or 3 of these decisions in each match. Offside iseven easier, the ball will already be dead as its in the goal, if he misses, just play on, it wont matter. Pisses me off so much.
  24. Good or bad.....who knows? No-one will have the balls to bring it in. The goal line tech which was experimented a bit (not enough) a while ago worked successfully, why wasn't it used? Because Fifa don't want technology in football, pricks. They might think about that again. There are no problems at all. With offsides, let it go and if the ball goes in, the ball's then dead so the ref can look at the screen/moniter and decide like Tevez goal or Kalou's vs Blackburn a few seasons ago when Jose looked at the moniter. the ball's dead ffs it's in the goal, look at the video evidence! With Lampards example, the ref should stop the game when the ball is in the keepers hands, look at the replay and either give the goal and go from there or say it's not over, goalkeeper can play on. No excuses. I'm well for it, it's the biggest sport in the world and it needs help.
  25. The last lyon kit is almost exactly the same as Russia's kit. The barca away colour used there is also a very famous one in their history. Used it in 1995, 1997 and 2007. It's part of their history.
