Very unlucky for Schalke, they played really really well. I was surprised by the way they attacked Real. Even my gf was rooting for the Germans as she can't stand the Madrid players (except for Iker lol). Anyway, if they continue to play like this, they will be out in the next round. It would be interesting, though, to watch what would happen to Carlo if they were out by now.

By the way - 10 years ago today Time really does fly...

His last-ditch tackles are his trademark.

So many crosses from his side, an awful amount of them really, putting the rest of our defense under constant pressure. And one more thing - I just hate when players do not play until the ref's whistle. When Ivan thinks it is out or whatever, he suddenly stops playing, puts his hand in the air and waits. WTF? Today he did at least twice and he got both situations wrong. Fortunately, he got lucky in the following seconds. Wish he stopped doing it and kept playing instead.

This is a serious question - how did this stay only 0-1? I swear, when Tibo had the ball for the last time and laid down with it, I went crazy knowing we got the points. Massive, massive win. Who would have thought after the Burnley game that we will beat both Spurs and Hammers without Matic, brilliant.

Just. Wow. Take a bow son.... and I could continue. What a stunning performance with some great saves. Just one mistake when he did not hold the ball but luckily Cahill blocked the rebound. But still what a performance.

This team, these players and Jose so deserved this trophy, some trophy. They were really unlucky last season and the media were going wild about us and Jose going trophyless. They deserve it today. And it will surely only help them, boost their confidence. Now they know that this team, they, can do it. This trophy was so needed. Jose's reactions and celebrations only proved it. He was so happy, so happy. I would have to look in my memories very deeply to see if he was this happy ever before. He loves Chelsea FC big, big time. We are incredibly lucky to have this man as our boss. Every single player gave his best, everyone was prepared for this final. We learnt our lesson from the 5-3 loss and did not give them one single big chance. Stunning. JT and Diego (having been scoring only in the League; even though it was an og) on the scoresheet make it even better. Beating Spurs in the final makes it top. City losing all points, us winning the cup... this Sunday could not be any better. Thank you.

This is what he came for - trophies. So it is brilliant that we made him happy on the very first occassion. Let there be more happiness in the future (following weeks)! Another assist for him today, plus a quality performance after some invisible ones. Prove your doubters wrong and guide us in the final months!

He so deserves to lift trophies, so happy for him this is the case again. His performance was flawless, surely, in addition he scored a winner. Freaking aging, I wish he never stopped playing and fighting for our shirt.

A warrior still does not really describe this player. Cesar has a heart of a lion. Incredible stuff from this lad. And remember the price we paid for him? Hahahahahahaha a fucking bargain!!

So right my boy, even though the rules say og. You were hoping to god for a goal today, you got one and helped your team lift the cup. I just loved how he fought for every single ball, how he chased every ball to Lloris, how he made all the Spurs players and fans hate him in just a couple of minutes. Love him to bits.
