Thanks for the answer !
We really understand what is FFP is about and it is not very "fair" rules.
For example, in France we have bigger taxes (now even a 75% tax on the earning above 1M) for decades. That is why at start the best players (and now even the average) were leaving among other factors. To earn as much as in England, french clubs have to pay a lot more (about twice sometimes). Contrary to the "La Liga", the TV incomes are equally spread. Also, French clubs are not allowed to have debts like English or Spanish because of the DNCG. If not you are relegated to amateurish level.
Due to this limitations, french clubs can't really grow. As soon as you have a good talent he will go abroad, because he will be paid more and he will have more chances to win something. The clubs are getting weaker in the field then, and won't be able to compete in financial terms too. Who will want to buy a Brandao shirt in the world ? Who will want to pay to sponsor a no name team ?
Qatari are actually doing dumping, splashing ton of money to build a strong side in the field with big names for the merchandising. Ibra is known worldwide and his name is associated to PSG. Our incomes are grown a lot recently. Without the mega QTA deal, we will be around 250-300M. They are marketing around the name of Paris, a capital of luxury. They even changed the logo to make more space for the name Paris and less for the "Saint-Germain" part.
I'm not that confident aboutt he FFP because UEFA reportedly found our board a bit contemptous and they'll have to make something not to appear like fools with their FFP.
Platini has already stated they'll not ban us from UCL next year but we can fear a big fine.
On the other side, our owners are thinking they are doing the things right and they'll prolly sue UEFA.
In my opinion, the most fair rule would be to allow any team a maximum budget so that everyone has the same chance at the start, but it is not legally possible.

And PL is 39% english players.
Anyway braging about your league when your team play against a french team is just pointless and arrogant.
Would you brag about your brand new fancy car in front of an homeless guy ?? You're that kind of guy ?
Now the homeless guy won the big prize at the lottery and can't wait to kick your cocky ass !
No offense given.

PSG has not lost a European home game since 2006. Besides, we rarely lose nowadays.
Your yesterday's game was so poor that I have now changed my mind: we're slight favourite.
Fie, foh, fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman.

The leagues are different...
In Spain, both Real and Barcelona have unfair financial advantages over everyone else. However, all the teams actually try to play football and attack. Spain definitely has more technical players than EPL.
In England, a lot of teams don't like to play football. Rather, they do a ton of long ball, which is exactly how a shit team can beat a good team when you park the bus and longball.
Also, I think the top teams in England aren't as strong as their predecessors of a decade ago, which is why it is more "competitive" now.
Like Chelsea vs Chelsea
Liverpool vs Liverpool
United vs United
Maybe Arsenal vs Arsenal.
Their predecessors were stronger and a better team.

Hi,
I'm a PSG fan. I have no idea whether PSG will qualify or not; however, I have come to the conclusion that Chelsea would qualify 55% of the time versus PSG.
I am terrified of Mourinho; his home record is very impressive. He is the guy who managed to stay unbeaten for 151 league games at home between 2002 and 2011. It ain't no luck; I really believe that he is a genius, and I wish he had signed for PSG last year.
One knows how important a coach is in football; I won't talk about Moyes lol.
I can't wait to see how chelsea can prevent PSG from creating chances. It is true that PSG is not used to playing againt good teams. Yes, PSG never loses but they have not been tested very often. Beating Benfica by 3 goals to nil is the best result of the season. So, I still have a hard time evaluating PSG because of the fact that they don't play in Spain or England, and that they never try to score more goals. Maybe we are very strong, but I do not want to get carried away. We will be stronger next year, and the year after. Obviously, It all depends on foreing money because the Ligue 1 will never be in the top 2 leagues. It's just impossible; taxes are too high and Football is all about being rich.
I expect PSG to get hold of the ball. Well, the good news is that PSG is used to playing against teams parking the bus.
This is what Chelsea should do anyway (kind of). PSG will start with Sirigu, Van der weil, Silva, Alex, Maxwell, Motta, Matuidi, Verrati,
Lavezzi (unfortunately), Ibra, Cavani.
I am happy that we did not get drawn against Bayern, Real, Barca. Anyway, I have a bad feeling about our chances. I suck at Sports betting though: consequently, I should probably bet on PSG.
I look forward to watching the tie. I still remember seeing Terry miss the winning penalty in 2008. Ouch! It must have been a nightmare. So sick!

Reading the last couple of pages. There have been some cancerous posts....
What has the strength of the League you play in got to do with any of this? PSG is a brilliant side and I must say if anything our reputation is the main reason we're being fancied ahead of them. Anyone saw how they hammered the 'Mickey Mouse' teams in the Group Stages (While we lost twice to Basel)?
They are a top class team even though I think because of our 'big game' strength etc.(which we saw in our heroic performance against Bayern/some of the League games this season such as at the Ethiad). We might edge them in a pretty close game.
EDIT: If the French Leagues are so terrible then why do PL teams buy so many players from them?

The bookmakers say that it is even, which is very rare in sports betting. Nonetheless, I still do believe that the blues are favourites to reach the semi-finals.
If I were Blanc, I would pick Lucas over Lavezzi. The latter plays because he has got a lot a friends in the team; I just cannot stand him any more. Life is like a dream for him; he earns a fortune doing a poor job. Lucas has an amazing potiental, yet he does not start as often as he should. Admittedly, Lucas does not know how to properly strike a football yet.
I am so saddened by the fact that Cavani plays out wide to accomodate Zlatan. Cavani has been very disappointed ever since he recovered from an injury; he also has family problems.
I watched Chelsea-Galatasaray and Chelsea-Arsenal. I was wrong to think that you are too slow. As a matter of fact I was impressed by your performance.
It has got to be the first time ever that a French club has the financial means to compete with the top ten European football clubs. Monaco, owned by Dmitry Ryybolovlev in tax haven , is going to spice things up a little bit as well. I do not know how he is going to beat FPP though. PSG and Monaco do represent our best chance to win the champions league provided that they keep spending money lavishly.
They are not as immortal as Real and Barca. So, It is only a matter of time until their owners leave. As a football fan, It is good to know that we have a decent shot at winning the cup with the big ears. 10 years ago today, I would have said that it is impossible that a French club can have half a billion euros as budget. Thank you, Qatar.
Anyway, PSG won their last 8 games. They only conceded 18 goals in 30 matches, which is a record in France methinks. Chelsea would have probably conceded 2 or 3 fewer goals at best; therefore, it does not make a big difference. Furthermore, It is wrong to analyse the strenght of team like that. One would not make a good poker player.
The liga is hundreds of millions of pounds poorer than the BPL. Yet, their top 7 clubs have been performing much better than yours
over the last 5 years. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2014.html
I really do think that you guys should give them some credit. I am used to watching the liga; consequently, I know what is going on.
I may be wrong, but one needs to have more time to answer such a difficult question anyway .
As I said yesterday, I have a bad feeling about our chances; yesterday's game was really breathtaking.
Away goals will be the key to qualifying for the next round. It is vital that zlatan keep on playing well, otherwise it won't be enough.
Thanks

The game is 50-50, that's why you won't see any Chelsea fan saying PSG will qualify. What kind of fan thinks another team will qualify if it's a 50/50 game?
No doubt, this is going to be a close and interesting game and most Chelsea fans I know (in real life, not on this forum) don't believe we have an easy pass into the SFs. If anything, they appreciate that PSG are a good team filled with very good players whilst we are also the same (but our key offensive players are also very young + Matic is ineligible). If Matic was available I'd be more confident.
