The real reason for Ukraine is that Putin is afraid of losing his republics. Those putin republics are copies of the "tehero blanco" regimes of South America in the sixties-seventies. He managed to salvage Belarus with the election fraud, then Kazhakstan with the commandoes he sent there. Now he's after Ukraine to prevent further westernization.
