Morata sucks big c*ck,
-
A derby match of sorts. Arsenal at home always pose difficulties. But they are one class below us at this moment.
-
Morata is lately useless with the ball, he needs to practice, to see the net. Two useless ones I know of were Lakis of Greece and Okkas of Cyprus. Speedy types, expensive signings but panic men - could n't do anything useful with the ball when alone with the keeper. In one occasion, in a derby match Okkas is set free with a clever pass with only the goalkeeper to beat. But even the commentator was not impressed, his reaction showed he was fully expecting nothing was going to happen. In the end Okkas fluffed it, straight into the keepers arms as usual. Now both those men and others similar actually did score some truly remarkable goals but how ? When they were on the move and the ball reached them at the right pace and there was no thinking involved. But the real striker must see the net. In England some great real strikers were Kevin Keegan, Ossie and of course Diego. Classic example of stikesmanship (Thomas Mavros 1983) Also this, Takis Karagiozopoulos a defender but does it with Olympian serenity:

We got the break we needed seconds after the second half begun. What could Brighton do afterwards ? Should have been 4-0 - in the end the substitution of Hazard turned it into a quiet match. I remain puzzled and it looks like we have problems. Everytime Hazard has the ball his 4-5 opponents struggle to contain him, everytime somebody else has the ball we pray for a straight pass at least, for a cross better than Zappacosta's against Everton. Where are the days of Lamps-Essien who were makings things easy for Didier ?

Morata is using brylcream.

Morata 1-0.
-
He was supposed to be Chelsea's Francescoli.
-
With Pedro-Willlian (justifiably) out we won't score a goal in 25 years. UTD are being destroyed.

Merry Christmas

Willian knows more football than anyone else who has played for CFC since 1903. He's a small fellow that's his problem and he's 29 now. For Brazil I certainly preferred him to that Hulk character. Anyway his last performance against Everton was a shambles, to be erased from memory. I just think that if you look for true Chelsea European champions caliber footballers then apart from Hazard and Tibot everyone else belongs to the transfer list. Even Kante, as long as his shooting skills do not improve.
-
Forget they are 16 points ahead, our real benchmark, for England at least, is them. City have scored 60, we have scored 32. Utd have scored 41. In fact we are the weakest in attack among the leading six.
-
Bad performance against an Everton side weaker than I expected them to be. We had possession but how many saves did their goalkeeper make ? No more than a couple, so our buildup was poor. Zappa was a failure - better if Moses was not substituted. Willian and Pedro did not come to the stadium and someone has to take Kante somewhere and teach him to kick balls. He finds himself so many times in empty spaces but he cannot even cross, let alone shoot. He 's too timid and some good moves are wasted. He can't do worse than Zappa did with Hazard's pass.

Seriously yesterday's performance against the cherries was one of the worst I 've seen ever. The substitutes used were funny players. This one now against Everton is not so easy because they have improved a little and because they always play well against us.

Mourinho departs egg faced.
-
Spurs have no chance against Juve. Is it predrawn now to the end ? If it is n't are the teams from the same country to be seeded again for the stage of 8 ?
-
No giveaway goal this time, so it developed into a simple affair. But I think West Ham was a much better side than Huddersfield.
-
Well if we played Besiktas now then Barca was on the road ahead. Does n't make sense to grumble really. Top 4 is a must of course, while to win the CL we have 3 or 4 more giants as probable opponents (as well as Roma again maybe !).
-
Besiktas seem to be a lot better than Galata we faced three years ago. I don't fancy them against Bayern though.
-
They haven't been great IMO. Didn't offer much away to Juve, drew at home to Celta & away to Olympiakos. They aren't as open or expansive as years gone by and are certainly beatable. I personally think this draw was the best to extent, as we aren't favourites, which is normally when we perform best. Ernesto Valverde is a popular figure in Piraeus. He could n't really hurt Olympiakos (3-1 was the aggregate score between them). Fact is that the strong teams of the primera always resist them, better than European opposition do.
-
Against Villareal yesterday they won 2-0 but Villareal was down to 10 men. The opening goal at around the 60th minute. I actually think they are the best team so far in this year's champions league, together with PSG and City also. Bayern is not impressing me at all and RM as we know had a very bad start of the season if nothing else..
-
Pep was not even our opponent last year, Spurs were. It shows that he did a brilliant job in the transfer period.
-
Pool failed to win against Rooney.
-
Requiem for Mou.
-
Simple as that. Win the FA Cup, see how far we can go in the CL and retain top 4 and we can move ahead to next season positively. If MU was the opponent and even if they manage to win tonight, there would be no such thing as CFC out of the title race. It;s a combination of the losses he mentions and Pep's unbeaten run.
-
Yeah but a certain caliber is needed. You saw Willian against Qarabag ? One would be tempted to say he is the best CFC player since 1903 - effectively scored all four. But it was against boy scouts. So we have bought many players whose dead bodies litter the pavements of the premier.
