The club should have no problems signing a Muslim. It's irrelevant. However, I know that physical performance can be hampered up to 30% due to dehydration alone. It's absolutely crucial to physical performance. With that in mind, I'd have no problem dropping a first team player to the bench during Ramadan. Although Kante just might be superhuman

He would have improved our pressing much more than the other two mentioned.
-
Caballero: 6 Not as bad as he usually is as a goal keeper. I actually think he is overrated with the ball at his feet. Takes too long to pass with multiple options and only slight pressure encourages him to boot it. Cannot be in the first 11. Azpi: 6 Questions marks starting to get raised. Offensively second best to Zappscosta. Defensively our best player. Not comfortable on the ball when pressed and played too many passes down the line that didn't work. More pressing issues than him. Rudiger: 5 Far too slow on the ball. Takes to long to make a decision and the attack is shit from the get go. Athletic enough to play a high line and is calm under pressure but consistently has focus issues. I blame him for Aguero's second. Switched off often. Luiz: 4 Makes decisions even slower than Rudiger. Attempts long balls too often. Defensively a shambles. This is not news. I hope he isn't in the first 11. Alonso: 5 Still can't defend but had some successful flashes of pressing the winger. Takes too long on the ball to make simply passes which put a others under pressure. Not suited to this football. Jorginho: 7 Apart from 1 or 2 mistakes he had a decent game. Good tackle on Sane to stop a break but was beaten a few times. The most comfortable and calm player on the ball. Keeps it ticking. Cesc: 3 Runs like a fat toddler. Still thinks it a good idea to press. Ends up just running out of the way. Not suited to this football. Barkley: 6 Not a CM. Probably never will be. Defensivley he is a shadow. But he is useful at beating a press with his dribbling. With the shoddy passing of this time his strength and dribbling will come in handy when put under inevitable pressure. Pedro: 5 Energised bunny than has zero upper body strength. Off the ball movement is good. Rushes too often. Willian has a chance here. Morata: thankfully not a number 9 CHO: 7 Brave. Tried hard and was our most dangerous player in the first half. Keep going.

Fucking hell.

The highlights of the youth final seem like a number 10. Could he take Barkleys spot? He seemed defensively good against Arsenal. Jorginho Kante CHO Pedro Bats Hazard
-
To be fair the club seemed to buy Emerson and Barkley without telling Conte.
-
Azpi Rudiger David Luiz Emerson Jorginho Kante Barkley Pedro Batshuayi Hazard Compare with; Azpi Christensen Rudiger Moses kante cesc Bakayoko Alonso Hazard Morata There is a huge difference between midfield and attack. Even if we keep Alonso in and Morata (sob) the midfield and wingers is a huge improvement. He won't win the league ofcourse but I'm confident of top 4. Especially if we drop Morata for just Batsman
-
If he scored as much as Lampard did no one would disagree.
-
Any links would be appreciated
-
I think it's plausible from how they have played last season. Thinking too much.
-
Rudiger and AC aren't good enough for this style. Rugani pleeeeeease
-
Not working
-
In all fairness a change of formation makes quite a change. Assuming the back 4 is Azpi Christensen Rudiger Alonso, then we have swapped Moses for Jorginho which is a huge step forward. Cesc with Kante and Jorginho next to him is putting him in more positions to succeed and less positions to show his weaknesses. Bakayoko will essentially be certified 2nd squad. Barkley and Cesc will be ahead of him. If Cahill doesn't leave he will be fourth choice cb. As it stands, we can fight for top 4. But it will be tough.

Kante isn't a DM in my view. His best performances have come in a midfield 2 with either Drinkwater or Matic and both sit deeper. He hunts the ball and presses. He is Perfeft for the right cm in a 3 with Jorginho behind. He will not be able to make passes when he is hounded and doesn't have an obvious option and he is ridiculously hesitant when he is in and around the box. Fine. But for the his strengths completely out weigh that. An if just one person presses, I'm becoming more and more confident in Kantes dribbling that I think he'll have few problems. He can play quick simple passes. He will fit fine.
-
Loool fucking Morata with his wonky passes. I'm almost starting to like the idea of Higuain ......... I reckon Barkley will do ok. I have expectation that Emerson will outdo Alonso passing wise. Tbh, I think Kante might struggle.

I actually doubt Roman has had a trigger happy attitude since Di Matteo. Benitez was always short term. And Mourinho was only fired after some testy public interviews which questioned players attitudes and left us 18th. The infamous 'individual' interview from Emanalo on 'palpable discord' didn't come out the blue. We were dangerously low in the league with a squad that was threatening to be torn apart from the manager. Let's be honest. Conte stays even finishing 5th if he doesn't constantly question the player's quality and heap responsibility on the board (however much I agree with him). If Sarri plays good football, doesn't put undue pressure on the board or overly critical of the payers I don't see how he doesn't make 3 years.
-
Good. Let's pull ourselves together and not pay £65m for a fucking gk. Don't panic and chuck money because we are losing Courtois. Let's buy a keeper for the meantime that will be adequate to finish top 4 for a fraction of the price. Let's have some principles guys.
-
Relax! We seem to be close to signing Golovin which finally gives us a quality midfield. Let's also see how defence is sorted and if the links WITH Bailey materialise. Let's not go over board because we didn't spunk £65 on a GK! We'll buy a decent keeper and, if the defence is decent, then the level of quality will not be to different from last season. Except we'll have a quality midfield and more of the ball. If that happens less need for a great keeper.
-
Let's hope Derby get promoted and Mount gets to have a season long loan in the premier league as a starter!!
-
Fuck him. He has no sense of loyalty. The guy's divorced for a reason
-
I thought he was great. Bought the hype. Not so sure anymore. He looks to be treading water when he runs? Or is that just me. People say he is a speed demon but I think he's in the bracket below. Not in the same league as Dembele or Sane in terms of pace. Maybe Eden's kind of speed. His dribbling doesn't look as clean as Malcolm's for example. His dribbling style almost reminds me of Suarez or Tevez. Gritty and awkward. Anyway, my 2 cents without every seeing a game live and only ever highlights on YouTube.

They will probably have to sell James. And Bale on top too but I don't know what their new coach wants to attempt formation wise.
-
I'd love Isco in midfield with Jorginho and Kante. Then have a wide forward play Hazards position under Sarri. Many here are saying Isco is no chance though. Fuck Ascensio that guy looks average every time I watch him. There's no one else is have from Madrid. Bale is too injury prone. The rest of their best players are CM's. The more I think about it. The probability of Madrid coming in for him is far from certain. Isco, Ascensio, Bale and James (who I've heard the new manager rates) are essentially vying for 3 spots max. The only one they would probably sell is James and this club is STUPID to get him. Not the player for the PL. Too slow. But even if we get James, for the sake of argument, one of the other three will HAVE to be on the bench. That won't be Isco, but the other two have come out and said they will leave if they remain bench warmers. Here's the problem as I see it. If Hazard comes, one or two or Ascensio, Bale and James leaves. And I would have none of them.

I've always wanted to tell you I think you should run our transfers. I think those are 100% realistic deals.
-
Completely disagree. Chelsea had greatly weakened from the season before in midfield and attack. Morata had a poor season period and Costa was a monster who won a number of games by himself (West Ham, West Brom etc). When Matic went all if the options were a few levels below. We couldn't even play the same formation as the title winning season because of the poor midfield. Compare TO spurs with Kane and a midfield of Dembele, Wanyama and Erikssen. No contest.
