Our only counter attack and only one person in the box. Notice how when Liverpool attack, they attack with 5, 6 players. We attack with 2 players. The player on the ball (Willian or Hazard mostly) and Costa isolated in the box.
-
It won't be a bad idea to bring in both Alonso and Fabregas RIGHT NOW. Like if you take out Oscar and Ivanovic, no will will give a fuck about either being taken out. We have tremendous difficulty building anything from the back four to our central and defensive midfield. Building from the back by passing to fullbacks is out of the question since we're playing with one inverted fullback and the other one has the technique of a dying donkey. Pumping longballs doesn't work either since it's Costa, not Drogba on the pitch. Conte should make a change now. We're getting humiliated on national TV and anothe goal for them seems inevitable.
-
Nice give away of a freekick from Ivanovic for the goal.
-
Horrible start to the game.
-
Oscar Ivanovic out - Fabregas Alonso in
-
Let's see if Oscar passes the ball to Hazard on anything resembling a consistent basis.
-
Let me put this out there a day before. I'm expecting an underwhelming perfomance against Liverpool. Different season, same shit from Oscar.
-
You're an Oscar fan. I get it. If he was great then we have different expectations for Oscar. If Hazard was "awful" then you have a very bizzare defintion of awful. Let's see if Oscar can last this season in the starting line-up or get his ass benched like Mourinho did in our title winning season.
-
What about Mourinho's back to back losses though? Guardiola is going to prove conclusively why he's the superior manager in both their current spells in Manchester.
-
There's a reason for that. Their attendances have been much better in the PL. I think they've sold out every home game.
-
It's not that hard to understand. Because Hazard has contributed much more to Chelsea's success than Oscar so he gets more of the benefit of the doubt. I thought Hazard had a better performance on the day but because he's such a vastly superior player to Oscar, the intrinsic value of his perfomances are under-appreciated. That's just how it is. My main gripe with Oscar in this game was not so much his perfomance, but his unwillinglness to pass the ball to Hazard when he was free, thus making it more difficult for the latter to get involved in the game, which is critical to our success as a team. If you haven't noticed this, you should pay more attention. Oscar seems to have a problem with Hazard being much better than him. If he had any sense, he'll play within the team concept before he finds his ass on the bench again. There's no reason why he should be starting ahead of Fabregas, and Conte will soon realize that. The sooner for us, the better.
-
That's why we need Fabregas starting matches and not Oscar. He's the one that has the best rapport with Hazard and they find each other harmonically. Fabregas just has to start unless we'll struggle to win away from home.
-
When Hazard isn't involved earlie in our attacking play, (no thanks to Costa and especially Oscar), we struggle to win football matches. And it's not for a lack of trying. He was making a lot of runs off the ball in this game but those two aforementioned players hardly ever passed him the ball. The first goal was them failing to clear their lines. Second goal, off a deflection. Chelsea = no Hazard / no party. This is blindingly obvious.
-
Can't blame him for what happened. Our defense just fell asleep at that moment, leaving him stranded.
-
Part of the reason why we lost control of the game was because of his antics. It's not the 1st time this has happened and he refuses to change. Good player, but he needs to go as well. He needs to be sold next season IF we can bring in an ideal replacement), in my opinion. Also, Kante was the monster in this game not Costa, who gave away countless balls and failed make easy passes. Also missed an open goal.
-
Absolutely disgraceful performance. I hope I'm not the only one that has noticed his unwillinglness to pass to Hazard, even when the latter is completely free. When he passes to him, it's like a last resort. This has been going on for quite a while now. And when Hazard doesn't get those initial touches, he has a hard time getting into the game, particularly in away matches like this. I can speculate on his reluctance to pass to Hazard, but I just don't care anymore. Oscar just go away from Chelsea. I'm sick of watching you play for us.
-
2 goals + a missed empty goal. Normally, that will be a good day at the office for a striker. But when you consider his lack of a football brain and how many times he loses possession in the final 3rd, how many times he misplaces passes and how many times he completely loses control, (which had a negative impact on the team), he's still a liability. He already has 3 bookings already Give Batshuayi 90 mins. Let's see what he can do. Next season, get rid. Afterall, he's not Suarez, Aguero, Lewandowski or even Higuain or Benzema. Bring in Morata. If you can't control yourself and behave like a normal human being, Just go back to Atletico.
-
His behaviour of flailing over at the slightest contact and arguing with refs has a negative impact on the team. He's not my MOTM.
-
Oscar really is a son of a bitch for his performance today. Not only is he a selfish bastard, he's also a distinctly average player. Conte has no way of justifying starting him anymore. Give Fabregas back his starting position and bench that fuck, please.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Oscar again refuses on the easy pass back to Hazard despite having two players on him. What a joke.
-
Can we get Fabregas on for Oscar please. Also, bring on Batshuayi.
-
Oscar consistently refuses to pass him the ball when he's open. So does Costa, but the latter is due to a lack of a football brain. Oscar is just generally selfish towards Hazard as I've noted a while back. Hazard has to get touches in almost all our attacks for us to win tough away games. Just common sense.
-
We completely lost this game when Costa decided to make it the Diego Costa show instead of playing within the team structure. The same is also true for Willian and Oscar. I just can't understand how these pro players play like teenagers on the park.
-
Costa has had a good game but it affects the team adversely when he makes it all about him. Oscar is playing like a selfish cunt. Hazard not involved in our attacking play. When that happens, we usually don't win.
