I support my team always, but i get the pessimism. I'm a Chicago Cubs fan and I'm never confident they can win a game until it's over. I've been heartbroken too many times to get ahead of myself. But I'm a diehard fan. It's just how it is sometimes.

Azpi would be good om the right, but against small teams that's important? What about against the Real's, Bayerns, and Barcelonas of the world? You need to have full backs who can at least cause Ronaldo, Bale, Ribery, Robben, Neymar, Reus, etc. Problems when they attack. Good attacking fullbacks would be nice, but you can't just forget about defense. I like Shaw a lot, hopefully it is just tabloid talk, more than £25M for him is too much. Rodriguez should be in the back of our minds.

Possibly, but our fullbacks are MUCH better defensively than the teams you mentioned. I'm all for it, but not for £30M. Rodriguez is a great full back and would be significantly cheaper.

For £30M they can get a decent CM and Rodriguez from Wolfsburg. No need to switch the defense, which has been solid, when you can just improve the offense. The problem has not been at RB or LB, it's been in the midfield and our finishing. Shaw should not cost that much.

Get Costa at ANY price. He's the only world class striker available, and stop the bullshit about how physical the EPL is. He'll be fine, dude is tough and is a rough player plus he's a big dude. He'll adapt fine. I could see 30+ goals in all comps next season.

Yupp, we're not expected to win. Build up to this game will be the same as the City game at Ethiad. "Their offense isthe great, they could score 5 or 6" . Fans have favorites for different reasons; style, nationality, personality, skills, etc. I like Courtois and think he's the best young GK and has helped defeat Barca and Real and he's just awesome. I like Luiz cause he's a happy go lucky guy and is funny. I like Hazard cause he's an amazing player. Cahill is scrappy, Terry and Lamps are legends. Azpi is a workhorse and versatile, Oscar, Matic, Willian, Schurrle etc. I like them mostly, cause they play for my beloved Chelsea. Courtois isn't my favorite, I just out him cause he's one not a lot of people put. We all love these guys for different reasons, they're our 2nd family.

I've seen him enough before his Chelsea return to know that calling him the "most overrated player ever" is fucking stupid.

I know he was the player of the year in the Portuguese League last year, I know he is excellent on taking players on, has great vision, he can shield the back four, win tackles, intercept passes, launch counter attacks (like last night) and if he was given the green light to go forward I'm confident he could be a regular goal scorer for us. You're doing a great job of diminishing his skill set. As we've seen he is technically gifted and has a great shot.
