Just a comparison, I know some of you guys aren't a fan of statistics, but Ricardo Rodriguez was significantly better than Shaw this season. I know he's 3 years older but here's a comparison of their stats, check them out. You'll see he has a significant advantage over Shaw in terms of assists, chances created, tackles won, aerial duels won, and interceptions. This shows, not only is he excellent going forward, but he holds his own defensively as well. Absolutely. He should have been used more, it's a shame he wasn't. But Azpi was better defensively and Mou wanted a defensive team. I hope he can still perform at a top level and win some trophies, not at the expense of Chelsea, obviously , but I think it was the right move for both parties involved. Still sad about it though.

I'm saying they lowballed Cole, and he thought best to seek other adventures. He was mistreated this season. Can't disagree with him. As for the club, they thought best to replace an aging leftback, can't really blame them either.
