  1. Didn't realise that. Aboutrika also got a degree, which is a very rare sight.
  2. I might be mistaken, but I am sure he spoke a decent amount of English when he join Chelsea. He is more than a football player mentally.
  3. Great to see Salah enthusiastic about joining Chelsea. He is a humble guy, who will give everything for the cause. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  4. We're pretty much set for the next decade in terms of attacking midfielders... Everyone is 23 years or younger (except Willian) Now all we need is a quality striker...and a LB capable of taking over from Cole Shaw can fill the LB void should we get him for second time round.
  5. I know mate. Still can't believe he was the top scorer at the ACON 2010 with five goals all as a substitute.
  6. Sadly, Gedo has gone back to Egypt. Never got his chance in the Prem, and I don't know why.
  7. I know the question wasn't aimed at me, but as a fellow Egyptian; I will shed some light on what he is like. His finishing wasn't great at the start of his career, but he has improved on that part of his game massively. Not only was he the top goal scorer in African WC qualifying, but he has scored 17 goals in 27 games for Egypt. His touch is very good, and can get out of tight spaces, his passing and crossing isn't the strongest part of his game, but he isn't bad in that field. Finally, he has good vision and is aware where players are around him, which also result in him being able to create chances for his teammates.
  8. There have been several. Ghaly played for Tottenham and Derby, Shawky played for Middlesbrough.
  9. Good to see the deal has gone though. Great to see him make history, and I believe he will be a huge success.
  10. Tiago was a decent player for Chelsea, and was far from a failure, so much so he currently plays for A.Madrid, and also played for Juventus & Lyon. Kezman did a job for Chelsea as a rotation CF for Drogba. The other are probably right, but you get my point. Few and far between.
  11. He was a free transfer though. No money wasted fee wise.
  12. I totally agree mate, but it shows someone is talking crap;if not both.
  13. Another Salah headline. It's hard to believe anyone. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/362307/Chelsea-to-complete-12m-signing-of-Liverpool-target-Mohamed-Salah-before-FA-Cup-clash
  14. In all honesty though, I can't remember a Mourinho signing that has failed apart from Quaresma. He has a great track record in spotting talent.
  15. The plot seems to have thickened. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2545922/Flush-Chelsea-end-paying-20m-Mohamed-Salah-stave-Liverpool-interest.html#ixzz2rS9T54oR
  16. My post was in general, and mainly not aimed at you specifically. All youngsters weren't released or sold at RM. I am stating facts, and not presumptions.
  17. What was Mata like when he first came to Chelsea... A Real Madrid reject, with some good performances for Valencia. I can't stand people writing or dismissing players before they have even kicked a ball for their new club. Also, don't get me started with Iturbe. He couldn't even get a game for Porto, and is more a project than anything else.
  18. I agree mate, but playing time could swing it. He will all but be a starter for Liverpool, which isn't the case at Chelsea.
  19. Just looking at Footyupdate Twitter account, and they only has nine followers. Can't believe someone posted the rumour.
  20. I am aware mate, but crazier things have happened. Look at Willian going to Tottenham. Everything was done expect for signing a contract. This is the same as the current situation.
  21. Not sure who are the people who don't want him here? People think he is a replacement for Mata. They need to wake up and see that isn't the case. If Chelsea have done a Tottenham, they will never live it down.
  22. I hope that isn't true, as it really will be a shock for several reasons.
  23. Two of the three I agree with, but Willian doesn't IMO. Also, Griezmann is a good player, but he hasn't performed in the CL for a better team than Basel.
