Great game for the neutral, but not best for us. It showed we now have the fire power to outscore teams, but our defensive frailties were evident.

Remy isn't the dream signing we all want, but he is probably what we need. A player that will get a few goals here and there, and will give Costa a chance to rest from time to time.

First proper test of the season later today. We have a mixed record at Goodison Park, but this match will have more spice seeing as our former CF's are now on their books. We need to try and gain points in places where we failed to pick any up last season.

We would be a good squad signing IMO, and he could be a good weapon to use later on in games. For around £8m (his release clause), he would be an adequate signing.

Our board have done wonders during this window. Let's hope they have one more big surprise up their sleeves.
