He didn't start the season in that fashion and is very fortunate to not be serving a ban. I've definitely grown to like him after his first season, but still think we need someone closer to Hazard. All talk about Bale moving makes you think. Not saying he's the answer for us, though.

There are question marks about Pedro being a starter. We've need someone close to Hazard's level on the right for years now.

Don't take much notice of numbers really unless it's 10 or 7. We can only hope he has a similar rise here.

He's been part of two preseason games with 30m~ to his name. Looked more lively than Willian has in his 3+ starts IMO. Only seen glimpses of him at Betis but have heard how highly rated he his. Hope he's given a chance to play more often than not.

Just don't see what he offers going forward. Should be nothing more than a squad player for us.

Find it hard to believe his confidence is shot already. His PK miss today wouldn't have helped, but he's joined a new team. I didn't expect him to be thrown into the first XI especially with Michy's performance in preseason. However, I think he should be starting against Burnley after Michy's abysmal showing today.

European Super Cup and Community Shield aren't really comparable. Still doesn't take away from the fact that Morata's pen was awful.

I never said we could sign anyone we wanted in the past, but we could get deals over the line for targets. There just seems to be a lot of deals slipping through our hands for multiple reasons as of that late. All comes down to the people doing the negotiations really.

We can't seem to beat any club that goes for a player we want, so we're mainly after the next "best" thing at this point. In for Stones, Mendy, Danilo & Lukaku to name a few and walk away with nothing. Not saying we haven't dodged a bullet or three thanks to this, but the days of us going and getting targets are seemingly a distant memory. Highly doubt Kante would have come here, if it wasn't for the buyout clause.
