They had no real expectations at the start of the season while CL was surely the bare minimum for us. Maresca's comments are just his way of covering himself should the worse happen and if we do qualify, he's done wonders (in his own head).

People deal with things in their own way. He was very vocal during the Enzo saga as well. Hate crime is a crime however you look at it. His performances should be called out & nothing else.

There's actually an article which stated a scenario where City could be found not guilty and demand compensation from the league. 😄 I've seen crazier things happen.

I'm not here to past judgement. However, this type of response always seems to come from the same ground. Racism is still a major issue, which is why the club have come out condemning those uneducated individuals.

Any serious side would have come away with at least a point today. Even West Ham were able to beat them on home turf. I personally can't see how Enzo will ever be the right man to take us to the next level with arguably one of the most exciting squads.
