We've been here before. Nice to see Enzo and Neto give a little talk after the goal. Don't go back into a shell now.
-
It's sad that I'm actually dreading watching us play, as Maresca doesn't seem to have the foggiest idea how to mix things up. Bournemouth & Arsenal seemingly dropping points will most likely be the only plus today. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
-
He failed to do it with Roma, so I highly doubt he'll be able to make Fener only the second Turkish club to win a European trophy despite being well backed since joining.
-
I know they aren't like for like, but he is the one who has been called upon to fill that void. Pasalic generally plays behind their attackers as a hole player/advanced mid.
-
Pasalic just hasn't been able to fill that void. I saw he had a 9.5 rating at HT. Has he really been that impressive tonight?
-
His character is rare for someone his age too. If you watched any of derby, you'd have seen him shouting at his teammates. He's been there for 5 seconds and is already leading his team (I do wonder in what language, tho).
-
Me neither. Maresca continues to make the same mistakes too,
-
Top 5 might be enough depending on what happens from here to May. You're right about the last bit, though. We'd just be making up the numbers with this current bunch. No idea what will happen at the CWC either.
-
It been the same for years. Aside from two teams, the rest constantly slip up which gives us hope. 2020/2021 season is a fine example of that (ignoring our CL success). These long term injuries for key players across the top sides has to be unheard of. Great that we have a big squad, oh wait...
-
Nothing new. All because he fits their "criteria." If don't sign some experience players of note, we might as well kiss goodbye to past glories.
-
14 minute hattrick. He was right there in Jan, and we didn't even think of trying to make a move.
-
As much as it might seem like a joke to most, he at least provided some competition. Sancho & Madueke have put in 0/10 performances multiple times since December but continued to keep their places because there isn't anyone else.
-
Anselmino deserves a start after our defensive performances over the past 6 days.
-
We have arguably putting in a worse performance than Saturday. Maresca clearly didn't learn a thing from that encounter either.
-
A joke. Have you seen the size of these central defenders for Brighton.
-
One pass. The less said about Chalobah, the better.
-
Of all players for that to fall to. Palmer with a terrible miss. Another injury here?
-
If Nkunku is playing CF again, it's going to be a long night.
-
Yet, Maresca seems to change his mind, game to game. Ultimately, the above is good news, but it shouldn't have taken five mistakes leading directly to goals for this to finally happen.
-
They'll be regretting his move to Saudi didn't happen. He's been in and out of the team for most of the season thus far.
-
We have Anselmino, Estavio, Paez, & Penders to name a few. The next wave of talent are already on our books, so it's whether they live up to the hype or given the time to adjust to the EPL.
-
Haaland has been a passenger for most of the game but has two goals. How I would love that rather than "he stretches defences with his movement."
-
He's signed players for the short term, which isn't sustainable when build a squad to compete over a period of time. There's a reason he wins in short period of time before "kicking up a fuss." I don't think ability was the reason behind his limit playtime. Maresca never wanted him and everything pointed to him being a board signing or to more precise, a makeweight.
-
The season isn't over. As @DDA said, there are serious issues with how the club are being run, so the negativity going around is understandable. Saturday's result just added more fuel to the fire.
-
The issue is this board. They want full control, and that was exactly why Tuchel was sacked, and since then, they've appointed "Yes" men. At this point, Enzo is no different despite initial impressions. That goes for your second point, too. Our team is built to develop talent, not challenge (feeder club mentality). On a side note about Brighton's win, do people forget we destroyed the same team at the Bridge last time we played? Brighton didn't do anything special; we just offered nothing after scoring and made mistakes that gave them the win. If this was a PL game, their winner is probably chalked off for Lamptey's handball.
