We've gone after keepers that are quite young or lack serious experience (Kepa, Petrovic, Jorgensen, etc). It's just one position that you rarely see players in their teens thrive in. Donnarumma is the only one that comes to mind in recent years. If Thibo had come straight from Genk into our team, he probably would have never been given a chance.

You could add Nkunku & most likely Lavia to that list as well. Around £200m down the drain.

There are many things that shouldn't have happened this season but did. Any fear that teams once had coming to the Bridge is long gone as well. I can see a world where Petrovic is sold and someone like Maignan possibly coming in depending on if we qualify for CL, CWC performance, etc. He's past his best, though. Leipzig just signed him in Jan. I'm aware they haven't been doing well this season, but there surely has to be more to this. Also, he isn't someone we need as of now with our AM options.

With the CWC right on the heels of the season's climax, Enzo will be here for some time regardless of CL or not.

Ha ha! I didn't want to tempt fate, especially considering where we were at the start of December. Our fixture against Forest on 25th May could potentially be a CL decider for all we know. City losing Haaland works in our favour (unless Marmoush blows away teams, which isn't impossible). Newcastle are the one side that could turn out to be the surprise package on the back of their first major trophy in yonks.
