I can see a world where Petrovic is sold and someone like Maignan possibly coming in depending on if we qualify for CL, CWC performance, etc. He's past his best, though. Ha ha! I didn't want to tempt fate, especially considering where we were at the start of December. Our fixture against Forest on 25th May could potentially be a CL decider for all we know. City losing Haaland works in our favour (unless Marmoush blows away teams, which isn't impossible). Newcastle are the one side that could turn out to be the surprise package on the back of their first major trophy in yonks.

They had no real expectations at the start of the season while CL was surely the bare minimum for us. Maresca's comments are just his way of covering himself should the worse happen and if we do qualify, he's done wonders (in his own head).

People deal with things in their own way. He was very vocal during the Enzo saga as well. Hate crime is a crime however you look at it. His performances should be called out & nothing else.
