A number of players have been hopeless & Alonso/Sarr on the left is horrific. Need a massive improvement in the second half.

I'm not expecting Tuchel to repeat what he did at the Bridge by essentially self-sabotaging. Hoping we give City a game, as they are susceptible to teams being direct. I think it will be a score draw which would probably be acceptable for both sides considering the situation, but it would be great to win away again.

We aren't wasting money & putting ourselves in a hole with another backup option, so I understand it despite being quite surprised. Alonso was always going to remain first choice IMO.

This sort of thing should be clear cut - we either inserted a recall clause in the loan or not. Lyon shouldn't have a say at all.

A move for Digne would only make sense if we can agree a loan deal. Spending £25m~ would be a waste IMO.

I'm sure if a good deal comes around, they won't hesitate to get rid. Had Kane been slightly younger, a swap deal would probably have been ideal.

We were 2-0 down and had an awful call given against us, so based on those circumstances, I was happy with us fighting back (a rare thing recently) & being the better team on the whole. I totally agree with your point about our attackers not being potent enough, though. I dare to imagine what we would like as a team with their front three. No attackers of note will be leaving this month.

Not sure what you mean. Neither did much & had the officials done their job, we'd probably would have won.

A story of what might have been. This is one draw I can be content with despite everything. We remain in 2nd.

And the red card. How difference things could be. However, we can't worry about that and just need to push for a winner.

Goals aside, we have been the better team as we were at Anfield. We can't gift them any more chances to score, though.
