Almost the ideal performance. Better decision making & we could have put the tie to bed tonight. Not sure what's up with injuries in our CL matches, but I hope this trend doesn't continue.

Just going to take the sole positive from tonight's line up - a much needed change upfront. Hope that change in itself will help us be more creative/dynamic in the final third.

Yes, I'm serious. Judging a player based off half a season at Palace is farcical; form is temporary. Also, I never said I wanted him over Gallagher. I agree he hasn't shone as quite a few expected, but he's had a number of setbacks (only played 16 games last season). However, if we're going to keep Gallagher next season, the whole discussion is a non-starter.

Right now, he isn't, & I'm not so sure he'll be here come September.

I know we haven't been linked with him, AFAIK, but I wouldn't be opposed to us going after Keita should he become available. He could do a similar job to Kante going forward & is technically better.

Six defensive-minded players & two of our front four are out of position, so it shouldn't be surprising.

Tuchel has this thing where he likes to go against the norm and put players out of position.

Pulisic at AM is horrid. Need to take him off & move Havertz into that position.

You know what you're getting with him, so either play to his strengths or leave him on the bench. We can't keep going on about the same things almost three quarters into the season. Having two wide men that can't outrun their man is another stupid choice. Either swap Havertz and Pulisic around or bring on Kenedy.

Aside from Ziyech, we've had no attacking threat. I could single out Lukaku, but he's had no service at all.

Opposition shouldn't matter at this point. Look at how we played against Plymouth. I'm worried that our team is more defensive-minded than anything. Hopefully, Pulisic will do his thing against his favourite opponents.

Ronaldo has previous, though. Messi has missed countless PK's when it matters. His issues with Giroud not so long ago would lead me to think otherwise.

I'm not sure how I'm coming across, but despite the latter lacking in terms of finishing, I want the same thing. Money could be better spent elsewhere. High pressing for starters. Tuchel has two windows proper windows since joining & look who we signed. Hakimi would have fitted like a glove & would have added depth in a position/positions that have effectively cost us this season, in the league at least. I do agree that Tuchel has poorly utilised some of our players (something I've previously discussed) and needlessly playing them out of position to our detriment. It's something a number of players have started to bring up as well. On the topic of Haaland, if we push for him again, what's happening with Lukaku to facilitate such a move?
