  1. This would certainly be the definition of a panic buy. In the process, we should do our best to avoid players from the Eredivisie.
  2. I don't know the reason for keeping him if he's just going to rot on the bench when we have hardly any options. This talk of a lack of options needs to stop until Tuchel actually gives other players a chance. Tuchel will continue to lose support should Havertz and Mount retain their places against West Ham. It's looking like clear favouritism at this point, which I can't stand.
  3. There isn't a proven option, but given time and backing, which Tuchel is seemingly receiving, Potter could be a shout soon enough.
  4. He seemed to get a solid hand on the ball. That's generally an indication and it was hardly a rocket. I'm certainly not putting the blame solely on him, but questions have to be asked about his performances over the last few months. We play West Ham next & we all remember how they won the game at home.
  5. Our outfield players are being deservedly criticised, but at what point should Mendy take a large part of the blame. He gifted Leeds their first, got beaten at his near post by Barnes & was questionable yet again for Southampton's first. The lack of accountability followed by punishment for bad performance from top to bottom is starting to become a regular thing, which is costing us dearly.
  6. One of the biggest issues within this squad is a lack of fighting spirit & character. The moment things are going against us, we are essentially out of it, and Tuchel certainly isn't someone that can change that from the sidelines.
  7. Deserved win for Southampton. Already lost two games
  8. It crazy seeing the difference between Broja leading the line to Havertz.
  9. Pulisic trying to overcomplicate things to impress. Why?!
  10. Getting ripped open by Southampton. Ref allowing everything as well.
  11. The number of players at Atalanta that would have a notable effect on our squad is crazy, yet here we are overpaying for fun.
  12. We had a number of chances. Ziyech's ball to Havertz and the latter did nothing as usual. We can't get away with shambolic defending like City have been.
  13. It's painful watching Azpi. Why was he so narrow?
  14. Boehly certainly doesn't lack ambition. He's setting us up for what will hopefully be a bright future.
  15. Havertz & Mount retain their places. I'm actually shocked by the latter.
  16. It looks like he's off to City instead. I'm not sure how much he has regressed since joining from Basel, but the fact we're paying around 5x more for Fofana makes me question the signing even more.
  17. He's off to Milan as part of the Leao deal (I hope).
  18. All things considered, it seems like a bargain. I'm surprised more clubs didn't go for him.
  19. Nottingham Forest have effectively bought a new squad. It will be interesting to see if they follow the same fate as Fulham a few years back.
  20. That was meant to cause constraints due to limited expendable income. So much for that with prices going around. The world is certainly in a dire state right now & it's probably going to be a while before things change for the better in the slightest.
  21. Both are overpriced, tbh, but that's something we'll have to get used to. So much for COVID having an effect on the market.
  22. I'm someone who was a big fan of Antony during his first season in Europe & wanted him ahead of Raphinha, who most preferred. His performances dipped last season, which tends to happen quite often as they're unable to replicate their form. It's honestly mind-blowing that Ajax has managed to rinse United for that much. High transfer fees seem to no longer reflect end product, and this is a worrying trend.
  23. I think we could get it done if we put a substantial bid in that includes Ziyech,. The worry would be getting it over the line, going off the amateurish nature of our dealings thus far.
